I had Fraxel laser procedure done at Clear Face Laser Clinic by Dr. Sammy Bai last year. He ruined my skin and eyes. Instead of smoothing out my acne scars, he drew all kinds of freaky patterns on my face with the laser: criss crossing deep and fine lines, stamp marks, and red trail marks. I have more scars now than I did before. He literally drew 3 red vertical lines shooting out from the middle of my brows, deepened the nasolabial folds and extended them down to my chin, created fine lines under my eyes and horizontal lines on my cheeks, horizontal line on my nose and stamp marks all over. My skin became so thin, lost elasticity, and fine wrinkles formed all over. He burnt my skin so that my cheeks look red and brown and there are other red and brown splotches on my face. My ruined skin makes me look permanently angry, old and even masculine. He refused to put protective eye goggles over my eyes during the procedures which resulted in my developing presbyopia, inability to see up close. The manager at the time made me pay a deposit right after a consultation with her, locking me into a 4 fraxel treatment package. I had to pay the full amount of the package after the first procedure. I should have walked away when she did not let me have a consultation with the doctor. She convinced me that initial consultation must be done with her. Even when I went back for the second treatment, in the weirdest and controlling manner, she forbade me to have a consultation with the doctor in his office before the procedure, meaning before my face is full of numbing cream and I can't speak comfortably. Her fake smile, initial fake courteousness completely disappeared after the payment. Dr. Sammy Bai is the strangest person in the world. True to what the previous post says, he often looks and sounds like he's on drugs, slurring and barely keeping his eyes open. He gets irritated if you ask him a question and keeps saying "trust me." He is not a dermatologist. His MD degree comes from a dubious institution. Had I known all this and not paid upfront, I would have run away long before he got to cut my face up. My hair stylist had recommended this clinic to me, whom I suspect is a personal friend of his and I now avoid. Dr. Bai seems to have a myriad of psychological problems, full of complexes. He is incompetent, inexperienced, and rude, so if you ask a question, any question, he starts to get defensive and conducts vengeance on you right on your face. It's the scariest thing in the world. I believe he intentionally messed up my face and eyes. The aesthetician/assistant would carelessly or intentionally apply less numbing cream on the left side of my face, which obviously caused pain. Sammy Bai whom I can't even consider to be a doctor said something really backward regarding this concern - that if I'm right handed, the left side of my face will naturally hurt more. I refused to buy this right brain/left brain theory of his. He also got angry at me when I asked him why he won't place protective goggles over my eyes. I complained that I was experience severe dryness and irritation in my eyes and lips after the procedure. So my advice to you is stay far away from this quack. read more
