We used them twice for window cleaning. The first time he and crew did a great job. But he brought his dog to the job site. My opinion is be professional, leave the dog at home. None of the plumbers, painters or landscape maintenance crews I use bring their dogs. Second cleaning was good but they broke the pins and/or bent the screens on a number of the windows. Response was he would fix but never followed through. Be professional, leave pets at home, fix or replace what you damaged. read more

What happened? I was so disappointed. Dirty tracks. Dead flies stuck behind screen in door and Levolar shade in Master bedroom with a cracked header. Will need to go in for repair. One screen was still on the ground outside the house. I waited 3 weeks for this appointment, and paid over $300. The two nice young men were new to me but I assumed they were trained by Jamie and would do a good job. I called Jamie to complain and was told I should have inspected the job after completion. And, he will remind them to have the customer look before leaving. Yes I should have inspected the work but, I thought I knew this company. I was wrong. This is my first neqative review. read more

I used Clear Light recently to clean approximately 27 windows, screens and window tracks on a two story residential house in Petaluma, CA. They were prompt in returning my call, in scheduling the work and in arriving at the designated time (to the minute). James and his son were very kind and professional. They completed the work in about 2.5 hours and the windows look a million times better. It was funny, I noticed some paint damage under one of the windows usually covered with overhanging blinds while they were here cleaning. I asked James about it. He took a look and showed me how they had no equipment that could have made the marks. Later, my 4 year old owned up to smashing a teapot into the wall repeatedly during a time out the day before, haha! They really did a nice job. They removed recent paint from the windows and cleaned all of the screens. I explained on the phone that I didn't think the window tracks in our new house had ever been cleaned since the house was built and they were a concern. I was told they would be detailed for 25 to 50 dollars for the whole house. I thought that seemed pretty low considering their condition. I was only charged 25 dollars and they did wipe them with a rag, but they were not really detailed with significant caked dirt left behind in the corners and difficult areas to wipe. Still, for only 25 dollars, they are hugely improved over what they were and I don't think I was very clear in explaining what I wanted done with the tracks. We had clear light come out and clean all of our windows AND do all of the gutters. We have a tricky roof line but they came prepared. The two workers were courteous, professional and competent. The team leader walked around the house with me pointing out areas where the window seals or screens were broken or the gutters were weak, so the work functioned as a great inspection for house maintenance too! I am usually not one to leave bad reviews, however my experience must be shared to warn others. James is a smooth talker and made it sound like he was a expert window/power washer. They showed up to my house at 4pm and I arrived at 5pm. By the time I showed up they were already finished and were packing up (1hr of work) for $300 pay. I had them walk me around the house to show me there work. Honestly I could have done a better job with a garden hose. They claimed they moved all my patio furniture off the deck and cleaned underneath (I checked after, didn't even lift). All the windows had dirty water runny down and as I was calling him out on the spots missed he claimed this is common (what to still be dirty?).I took a ladder and climbed up the side of the house and there were still cobwebs. He assured me he power washed this area, the house was dry and showed no sign of anyone cleaning. He said he would clean my skylights for zero charge, I took a ladder and climbed up, looked like he took a wet rag and wiped off quickly leaving dirt residue and making it even worse then before. End result, James was extremely unprofessional and did not stand behind his work. I called him out on his unsatisfactory work and he blow me off like his work was great and he didn't care. He literally called his other crew member during mid conversation and said "we are done here , let's leave" as I was showing all the spots missed. Clear Light recently cleaned the windows of a large house in Petaluma I was getting ready for sale. They arrived on time. The sent two people who were a pleasure to have around the house. They did not drip water inside like another window cleaner I have used. They offered to wash all the mirrored closet doors for $20 which was more than reasonable. Window cleaning is one of those jobs where the more you stare at window the more specs you see. They were patient. They helped me move a few mattresses which were not part of their job. Fast, professional and very reasonable! I contacted Clear Light to get a quote on gutter cleaning and to wash some high windows on one side of my house which were impossible for me to get to. They were very prompt in returning my call and got me on their schedule quickly. They showed up on time, did a great job on the windows, and were able to clean the gutters without any problems. They were also able to diagnose a problem with the pitch of our gutter not sloping enough to drain one area of our roof properly. I had two other professional gutter/roofing companies that listed "gutter cleaning" on their site come out to give me a quote (one was outrageous) and they acted as if our house was some kind of special problem, requiring special ladders to get to the high gutter. This last time Fabian and Hugo provided my service. They arrived exactly on time.Fabian greeted us with a big smile behind his mask, put on his shoe booties, reviewed what needed to be done and got to work right away. He took extra time to work on some sliding doors that had a lot of water stains. Once finished he asked me to double check to see if they looked better and if he'd missed any spots. I had inquired about the gutter service and so Fabian got up on the roof and checked all the gutters. The two guys, Mike and Francisco did a great job. They were on time and careful and responsive to my requests. They took pride in their work. There was one window that was difficult to get to on the inside. It would have required bringing in the extension ladder. They did it on the outside, from the roof, and I told them it wasn't necessary to do the inside. They kept offering ways to get it done, even after I said they didn't need to. They wanted me to be happy. At the end, there was one spot on a second story window that I asked them to touch up and Francisco climbed up there and took off the screen and fixed it.
