To say the least, one persons trash was certainly my treasure! I brought it straight to A Lamp & Fixture. The store is marvelous, and packed full of beautiful, vintage light fixtures. In fact, the guy I worked with mentioned that's what they're most known for. He was kind enough to take a look at the lamp I brought in and was professional and nice the entire time. He was able to get it all up and running and advised me on what lightbulbs to get for it. He only had to replace a couple of plastic parts, and only charged me $10! I was worried the whole thing would need to be re-wired, but I got really lucky and it just happened to work. Highly recommend if you have any light fixtures or questions about them, you stop by A Lamp & Fixture. I'm confident the experts here would be able to help or advise on anything related to lighting!

In addition, the few times I have been there waiting for my turn, I have also noticed that once customers leave, the associates in this business often come up with jokes that remind everyone else how stupid the customer who just left is. I don't shop at this place anymore, as I don't like neither their sarcasm nor their jokes and because I always wonder what kind of comments these unprofessional associates make about me when I leave.

In need of a new kitchen faucet when my old one went kaput. As this business was located nearby and…read morethe view from the street suggested a good selection, my wife and I opted to purchase a faucet from this store. That was a mistake. They have to order most of the merchandise on display so if you need something quickly, your choices are much more limited. We did find a faucet we liked that they had in stock, but the one they did have was an open box. We took it anyway and I believe we (foolishly) still paid near full price. The next day when our plumber came, he said the faucet was missing an important piece. I had to drive back to the store to see if they had a replacement. They did not so I selected a different faucet that I did not like as much but it was cheaper and good enough. They (said) they would issue a refund for the difference ($180) and took my card number. They had no real explanation as to why the part was missing and told me "You'd be surprised how often this happens. People return things without a part.". Really? And apparently neither of the two people that work in this store and don't seem to be overwhelmed with customers (I was the only person in the store both times) could be bothered to check returned merchandise to make sure it was complete before selling it again. I probably would have just let this go but then after checking my account for the refund, I discovered none had been issued. I called the shop and they texted me a copy of the refund receipt they said they issued. I said it had not been received in my account to which they had nothing to say. The implication was that it was my problem. I am now working with my bank to get my account credited, something I should not have to do. They ignored my subsequent text indicating I still had not received the refund, leaving me no choice. As best I can tell, they never did follow up to see why it had not gone through. These two guys seem like total slackers - bored to be in their store and it shows. They provide half-baked service and express little concern for customers. Everything is just sort of "Oh well.". Avoid this place - since their prices aren't better than Amazon, plan ahead and order online or go to the Consumer supply store across the street where they may actually give a damn about their work and act professionally.
