Service technician, Dylan Conaway, was sent to survey our needs and he is a blessing. I am so encouraged by his approach. There were things he could not do as usual because we have a waterfront home. No other company would even attempt to service what we really needed and that was to work on our spider infestation at an extended height. What impresses me most about Dylan is his willingness to tackle a problem creatively and conscientiously. When other companies sprayed, they only sprayed low. It didn't impede the spiders. It only encouraged them to move up. Finally reaching the very top, they started to spread to the sides and front of the house. With all their eggs and webs with bugs entangled someone once commented our home would make an excellent haunted house. It became so awful I would not sit outside. Boaters would stop and just look. It was very embarrassing as well as scary. As fast as other companies had declined to tackle the height, Dylan quickly said he would be creative in thinking how he would service our home. On the first treatment day, he de-webbed the house including the soffits and overhang and while treating it, he noted pest hot spots, cracks and crevices. That very first day, he rid the house of an abundance of spiders. Then he created a barrier of protection on the house and deck and secured the perimeter around it. I haven't seen a spider in the treated area since and this is day four. I also haven't heard birds hitting the windows while trying to secure a meal. No spiders, no meal, which is a big plus. I'll be able to have the windows cleaned and look out without seeing their gifts left from the pain of hitting the windows hard. I am so thankful, actually grateful, that I have chosen Clear Defense Pest Control. Dylan thinks outside the box and has been professional, meticulous, courteous and respectful of our home and the environment. He's God sent. AMAZING technicians!!!! If you have a bug problem or just want to avoid having a bug problem I highly recommend ClearDefense. Extremely knowledgeable, curtious, and professional. Tim and Kent were wonderful!!! We have been using ClearDefense pest Control for a few years now. They are always very efficient and extremely conscientious. They always have their shoes covered. They always have gloves on and because of COVID they wore masks the entite time. Because I have been seeing little tiny bugs in the bathroom sink we called them to come out. They gave us an actual time that they would be there and were on time. Most places give you a 4 or 5 hour window and never show up on time. Two exterminators came Tim and Kent. One to treat the outside and one to treat the inside. They have so much respect for the customers time and property. They evaluated the bug type and new immediately what it was. They treated the inside of the house as usual and went to their truck for a special drain foam to treat the new kind of tiny bug I saw then they got a second type of product to use as well. The most amazing thing to me was all of these extra steps they took were done with no extra charge to us. We have used Clear Defence as a precaution for years to avoid having any problems with bugs. This is the first time we actually had to call them for a specific bug problem. With three children I am so extremely thankful that we have ClearDefense to help us stay bug free. We even extended our service to treat our outside for mosquitos, flees, and tics. There service is oustanding and their prices are so very reasonable. I will say I always read reviews when they are available. But then I seemed to question if they are true to the product or service I'm looking into Mostly - they have been correct. But........I have been mislead a few times. First off - I'm a real guy - I have no ties or being influenced by anything to post this review. It's all from the service I have received from ClearDefense and a technician - Sox. We live off Northshore in W Knox. Let me start off by saying ClearDefense is my 4th pest control service I've had in the last 7 yrs. What I have experienced - it's almost unheard of these days. At least for me. The service they give you is unmatched - Unparallel with ANYTHING I have EVER had or heard of. So much my wife said - wow - guess we finally get our $ worth in something - what a great change. The entire team at ClearDefense are very professional - clean - knowledgeable and do what they say. Once one of the technicians was going to be late - he called and said - Sorry I will be 10 mins late. Not a game changer in some folks eyes. But all those small positives quickly turn into a game changer. And if you are not completely happy with something they will fix it and make sure you are happy with the results. Once I saw the technician taking down spider webs in our garage - that I could barely see - I was not in the garage - I just happen to see him off the reflection from a car window. He was doing the job right - Without me asking. And also - Notice I said Team ClearDefense - this was something I picked up on very fast - these guys have each other's backs. 11/18/25 Update: Today was our 3 week follow up treatment after the initial treatment. Alex came out to conduct this service and it was another stellar visit from Clear Defense. Their customer service on the phone is outstanding, and the technicians are clearly passionate about what they do, excel in clear communication, and are happy where they work. Happy employees make the company. I'm so glad I tried professional bug control a third time. We finally found a clear winner. We've seen no spiders in our living areas or in our porches. Yay! Shawn with ClearDefense Pest Control did an outstanding job with our initial treatment for spiders and other pests. He went above and beyond -- removing all the webs and nests from our back porch, then doing an especially thorough job spraying the back side and porch (where we have the biggest issues) as well as the full perimeter of our home. We've tried two other pest control companies in the past with disappointing results, and I had just about given up on professional pest control altogether. Then a neighbor recommended ClearDefense, saying they'd been very happy with their spider control and more. Our homes both back up to the same woods -- spider central -- so that meant a lot! We are new to having a Pest Control Service. Mark came to our door and I spent several minutes getting a preview of Clear Defense and what they could do for us as homeowners. He was quiet professional as well as personable and I felt very comfortable signing up for service. Service occured exactly on the day and time that was promised. Our technicians were Raphael and Breland. They were both excellent. Raphael was the lead and did an excellent job in ansking what any problem ares of concern were before he started the service. He gave me time to expound and I didn't feel like he was rushing me. The service was very well done to my complete satisfaction. I was pleased to see both techs put on booties without being asked before coming into our home. They were also both professional and personable. I hope they return for future service!! ClearDefense Pest Control is a very well run company, their follow up process reassuring, and their experienced technician's really know their stuff! I recently moved to the Knoxville area, and not knowing there's a HUGE difference between bugs down south and how it affects your home! I had a carpenter bee infestation that was making mincemeat out of my beautiful cedarwood front porch. These things are like termites with wings! Your amazing technician Dallas was able to identify the problem by thinking outside the box and why it was happening. Long story short, the carpenter bees were gone and my sanity was restored! I also had an unwanted visitor, "Mr. Jingles" visit my pantry and left mouse doo doo all over the place! In comes the caped crusaders from ClearDefense, and that night, Mr. Jingles was no more! I now have monthly maintenance work done from April to October and today, my technician Chance was out and treated for mosquitoes and got rid of the cobwebs around my home. After he was finished he went over everything he did. So glad I have you guys to protect me from all the little bugs, insects, and creatures from the woods in back of my home! This company is truly the best pest company ever! I have been with. Them for over a year now for pest and now I have added termite services aswell. I also had their mosquito services. The customer service I receive from them is like no other. Always nice and professional. Very Knowledgeable in all aspects of pest control. They never tell me they don't know something. Even if my technician doesn't know right off the back they call the supervisor who is very knowledgeable and find answers. I feel they go above and beyond when coming out. They address all of my concerns throughly. Since getting them my run in with pest have been very few. Mostly everything I see is dead which lets me know the products they use are working. They always let me know when they are in the way and send appointment reminders. Their ratings are so high because their standards are high. You won't always get the same technician but you will always get the same high level of customer service. I found the comments in other reviews to be absolutely true. We just switched to ClearDefense based on their professionalism and knowledge. Mike seemed sincere about getting the job done and raising the bar for pest control service in Knoxville. Our technician Jeff was friendly, respectful and explained everything he was doing. He did not rush through the inside of the house like I've seen other techs do and before he sprayed outside he was careful to ask about vegetable and fruit plants which is something no tech we've had has ever asked. Jeff spent a lot of time removing cobwebs outside the house and treating even the third story eaves, deck railings and under the deck roof for spiders. After putting down the outside ant barrier Jeff made sure to address problem areas around our sidewalk and in our mulch. The prior companies we've had never treated for ants and one company stopped removing cobwebs which means we have spent time and money doing it ourselves. We have no problem discontinuing service from companies that don't do the job but I've got a good feeling that we will be long-time patrons of ClearDefense. read more

We just purchased a house that had been undergoing a remodel prior to purchase, so it sat empty for a while. Which means, LOTS of critters moved into the space. I checked on-line for pest control services and saw the reviews for this business and so I gave them a call. The cost is a little more than what we paid at the beach, but the service provided is worth so much more than the price charged! Where else do you get a tech that takes a huge dusting like tool and knocks down all the cobwebs on the outside of your house? Nathan was our tech and he was amazing! He explained every single step, from spraying the baseboards, to the crawl space, to creating the 10ft perimeter in the yard and spraying the house. He took special care to explain how he was dealing with the army of tiny sugar ants that had taken up residence inside! And how we would see an increase in activity before seeing a decrease. I could not have asked for better service. Oh by the way- the mosquito service is pretty exciting too. Cannot wait to be able to enjoy my back yard! Make sure you call this team. Every single interaction I had with ClearDefense was professional, educational, informative and most of all respectful. From my initial encounter with the sale representative, Taylor, who stopped at my residence and introduced me to their product, to the technician Mr. Schaad who came to my residence and treated both the interior and exterior of my dwelling in a PROFESSIONAL MANNER. In fact my technician Mr. Schaad kept me well informed as to scheduled visit to my residence, and upon his visit he introduced himself to me with a friendly smile. Dustin from Clear Defense performed my first home treatment today. What can I say, a customer can't ask for more. He showed me the utmost respect and professionalism during the entire visit and responded patiently and thoughtfully to all my comments and questions. We even talked about life a little bit because Dustin is the salt of the earth. He did all of this without lollygagging and still efficiently made it through the entire treatment plan for my home in under an hour (including a briefing of said plan soon after arriving because it's the right thing to do). Indeed, Clear Defense does the right thing and more. For example, Soakai (one of their senior specialists) stopped by later in the afternoon just to make sure everything went smoothly. No, he didn't just knock on my door to say "hi, blah blah, ..., uh huh, great, and have yourself a nice day". John you were excellent, and I truly appreciated your knowledge of pest control. You explained what you were going to do and how it was going to protect my log home. Spiders love to make webs on the one side of my log home and you really took your time to be sure my home was protected from future spiders. Also, in my office area of my home where I work nightly those pesty no-see-ums love to bother me. I swear they bite my face. You addressed my concern and put added treatment there for me. Being in my late 60's I don't want little red marks on my face. What a great experience!!! I was in need of some pest control yet did not want to use "the most common" companies. I needed a pest control company and i needed one within my budget. i wanted someone that was good and that i can trust was going to take care of my needs. i called well known ones and the cost was so much. my older brother recommended ClearDefense Pest Control to me. i called them and set my appointment. Cade and Nathan came out. they more than feet distance from me. They wore masks and gloves before they enter my home. These young men were very polite and professional. They went over the paperwork with me and explained any area i did not understand. He was truly there to give me the best experience possible, which was a switch from the previous company I have hired in town. Mike came out today because of an ant problem we were having and was super. He was professional, knowledgeable, courteous and quick. We are going to be using their regular service each month but before we started they came out to help with this ant problem and we had only called the day before. They adjusted their schedule to meet ours and showed up exactly on time. They even called when they were 20 minutes away to let us know they were coming. Mike found the ant problem almost immediately and identified what type of ant he was dealing with. He talked me through the whole process so I knew what he was using and why. We have a very curious cat, Snoopy, who followed him everywhere and Mike was very careful with him. I'm very impressed with this company and the service I have received so far. It was like devine intervention! I had noticed some tiny little bugs near my front door and was in the process of looking for a pest control company when my door bell rang. It was an agent from ClearDefense Pest Control! They had been servicing a neighbor of mine and came to see if we had a company that we used. After speaking for a while I decided to give them a try.
