Before her, I had no idea lash extensions could be comfortable! The glue and lashes that she uses don't irritate or burn at all; which is what I used to experience. Mackenzie is very professional and her work is impeccable. I generally get fills every 2 weeks but I could go 3 weeks. The shop is nice. I love the private rooms with the reclining chairs as opposed to a table. Much more comfortable! They make it very easy to schedule appointments; I generally schedule with the receptionist as I am paying. But if I have to reschedule, you can do so in their app and it's no frills. I love it. My appointments are generally 45-60 minutes and I've never had to wait longer than 5 minutes for my appointment to start.

In terms of places to get quality lashes and application, I WOULD highly recommend this place. BUT,…read morethey are very overpriced. Very overpriced for fills. Compared to other places where you can get the same quality. Especially for fill-ins. Most places, charge between $60-$75 (on average). This place charges $120. They claim it's because you will only need your lashes filled every three weeks. Even a month. If that were true, I would actually have no problem paying an every three week fill, of quality. But, therein lies the issue. After a week, the lashes start falling out pretty regularly. Consistently. By two weeks, they need to be filled, noticeably. Which is what I always ended up doing. Paying $120 to get my lashes filled every other week. And yes, I did say "always". Because I'm not just basing this after only going a few times. I went there regularly for nearly six months. I would communicate to Maryam, that they weren't holding up as long as I would have liked. She recommended a few things. Lash care. Things I already knew. I've been getting extensions for two plus years. I know how to take care of them. Excuses about your natural lashes shedding in the fall. Which I'm not saying isn't valid. But, the rate at which I would lose the fake lashes didn't decrease when winter hit. After going there for as long as I have, Maryam did not hesitate to charge me $60 because I missed an appointment because I got the dates confused. I had NEVER not shown up for an appointment ever. And, it was an appointment to patch up her work that was already falling out after a week.....again. That is poor customer service and not a good way to keep clients. After getting my extensions done for so long, I have to say that it isn't easy to find someone that does, even, a quality job. It is even more difficult to find someone who does a quality job at a reasonable price. A price that reflects the longevity of the work before needing another fill. I'm not looking for a cheap price. Because with something like this, you get what you pay for. If I'm paying $120 for a fill, the work better reflect that price. I was not getting $120 worth, biweekly. I don't expect a deal or a discount price, just a fair price. While it can be difficult to find a lash person, I can say with confidence, that you can definitely find someone who's prices and work, are better than Pure Beauty.

He wanted me to go with him as his patient advocate and wife. I actually WALKED into the salon 16 hours PRIOR to (NOT THE DAY OF) my appointment to let them know IN PERSON that I needed to reschedule. (And, also mentioned to the receptionist, that my daughter was heading into the ER for possible kidney failure and didn't know if I would be needed for her the next day). No compassion about my situation, just said that this is their policy. I even asked if I could reschedule and put on a waitlist. As I tried to appeal, she treated me like she was doing me a favor by offering only 50% charge. I asked her if I had been in an accident and couldn't make my appointment if they would charge me. She said no. I asked if I could speak with a manager and there were none available. I mentioned that I was not a "repeat offender", and this was important to me to be there for my husband. She reluctantly said that JUST THIS ONCE they would not charge me. She definitely had the power to help me if she wanted to. And as I walked out the door close to tears, she replied with, "Have a good one!" I am not blaming this young women, but this is not the kind of salon I need. My 93 year old mother was a hair stylist and owner of a salon for over 40 years. Her clients were family to her. She attended many of her client's funerals over the year. It saddens me that this is how I was treated. I will look for a salon that treats me like a human being and understands all the highs and lows of life.
