Just horrible waxing services and misrepresentation. Went in for a booty wax, was told that doesn't get a new customer discount, but if I add something, they will add discount. I didn't even know about the discount. But said ok, I'll add lower back. Just peach fuzz but sure. Waxer brings me into room and has me undress IN FRONT OF HER! Weird, inappropriate, and sus already. She's waxing and everything seems fine. I don't get an opportunity to check out the deeds but ok. So I pay, leave a fat tip and go home. I receive the emailed receipt, and look at that, NO discount. Total scam. Upon getting home, I inspect and find wax bits all over my back, my bum, and some attached to leg hair. Not cool. Like wtf. I've had waxing done about 2x a year for 15 years and never had this happen before. There was a lot of leftover wax all over me. Upon further inspection she skipped an entire lower section of my bum. I have been to this location in Canton several times to get my eyebrows waxed. It is small and not as fancy as some of the newer European Wax Center locations, but I am satisfied with the friendly customer service and the waxers. Sierra does a great job and I trust her to do my eyebrows. After she did my eyebrows I decided to buy a wax pass. read more

Overall customer service was excellent but the service in general wasn't good I got a Brazilian wax and had a lot of left over hair mainly my inner lips and on the sides my skin was raw as well she didn't get all the wax off me I had to do that myself when I got home I've been getting them for years so I'm not new with waxing read more

"Policy" that allows one guest in the room is really poor. My 18 year (just) old "adult" invited me to join her today. She has no money except for mine to pay for her services. Instead of making 2 or 3 customers as she has a sister, you've lost that. It was one person, she authorized me to come in and sit at the back of her head as she was trying to change my Carol Lewis Spa patronage to here. NO thanks. She can find another place now too. Do I call my credit card fraud company because my minor was using my credit card without my knowledge?! What company allows a minor to use the credit card of someone else - different name- and isn't with the adult they took the card from, this is fraud on European Waxing's part. I've never been so insulted or humiliated in my life and angry that a mother daughter outing wasn't better handled by the idiots at the front desk in front of an entire group, including a man, sitting there. First timer here... and it was a good experience. The staff was friendly & knowledgeable. Olivia made me comfortable and she was pretty quick. I had a friend tell me that if there are stubborn hairs that the wax won't grab, they should get tweezed. That wasn't the case here. But it's my first time, what do I know? Just know, sweating is normal, the pain will subside, and you'll ask yourself a couple of times throughout the process "why" lol. But beauty is pain right. read more

I typically go to the Ann Arbor location but they didn't have an appointment in a crunch so I decided to try this location about a month and a half ago. I would not recommend it. First, when I called to book I was scheduled on the wrong day. Then when I was called to reschedule I was supposed to get a Brazilian, and legs and etc! But they only booked me for a Brazilian even though I said all of the services I wanted. So when I showed up to my appointment and couldn't get my legs done I was extremely annoyed/disappointed. Then, I was booked with a new waxer who had only been doing it for two months and she missed sooooo much hair on my Brazilian. As a first timer you get to choose between a free armpit wax or 50% off my brazilian so I chose to do the free armpit wax. This place was pretty great. I just found it on yelp and booked! And what I didn't know was that your first wax is free, you can't beat that! The place is very clean and they take their time to explain every step along the way. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the constant sales pitch. I was truly told 4 times that If I refer someone I get $ off my next appointment. Then it was the sales of the eye makeup. Then it was the sales of the packages. Prices are reasonable. Went here for the first time while I was visiting the city (however not my first wax) and my wax specialist was nice but the job itself was subpar. There was a significant amount of hair left that she said was "too short" however that has never been the case for any of my previous waxes. Love this place! Natalie is a gem, I highly recommend her especially if you're going for a Brazilian. She's hilarious and super friendly, and she kept the conversation going which really helped me feel comfortable. The girl at the front desk (Elise?) was also really friendly and helpful. The staff is very nice and organized, it's very clean in the business and the wax lady (Natalie) made me very comfortable. I have been to a European Wax Center before, and absolutely loved it. So, I assumed that this location would be equally as awesome... yeah, holy crap, I was wrong. I hope that it was just the technician, but I will definitely not be returning to this location, regardless. First off, I understand that there may be some pain after a break between waxing, but I was a little nervous, so when I asked the technician (jokingly) to please be gentle on me, she rudely responds,"Nope...Nope, it's gonna hurt a lot. I don't sugar coat it, it's not in my job description". I get that she wanted to be 'honest', but needless to say, she had the bed-side manner of a wet mop. The results of the wax had a lot of missed spots, but I didn't even care, I just wanted to get out of there after dealing with her rudeness. I have been coming to this EWC location for approximately 4 years. The facility is always clean, front desk staff is professional, wax specialists are friendly, package prices are fairly good, and there is usually no waiting at appointment time. There definitely are staffing issues at this location, including no manager at present, which I do understand is a problem all over since the pandemic began. The wax specialist turnover rate prior to this time was fairly high for reasons that I do not know. I cannot count the number of wax specialists I have had over the years. As soon as I get comfortable with someone, they leave. In the past 3 days, I have had 3 appointments canceled after I confirmed the appointment on the EWC app. The reason for first and third cancellation was 'waxer you were scheduled with is no longer available at that time'. The second one was cancelled due to waxer not feeling well. I was advised that my waxer today was the only one scheduled for this morning. The poor receptionist must call every person scheduled for this morning to advise of the cancellation, and try to reschedule them. I will be making my fourth attempt early on Friday morning. I still have 11 pre-paid services left in my package, which is keeping me here for now. Please hire more staff at this location so that appointments can be kept as scheduled. read more
