I am 66 and having Roy me with cataracts and poor vision. I have good insurance and the ability to pay. I called today to try to schedule an appointment and I was told that "Clearview does not want or accept any new patients". I requested a waiting list and the girl simply laughed and hung up. I would not take a dog to such a horrible place. Whatever doctor that took an oath has lied and done great disrespect to his position. I had LASIK done at Clearview about a month ago and I could not be happier with the entire experience! From the free consultation to the actual procedure to the recovery, everything was great. I felt completely taken care of and although I was nervous, it was because this is a surgery, not because I wasn't confident in the doctors or the office. There was a hiccup with the finances on surgery day, and one of the staff members made phone calls and kept my posted the entire day until we got it resolved. Very helpful. The surgery itself took about 30 seconds per eye. On the evening of the surgery, I was in and out of the office in 30 minutes. All of the aftercare was spelled out for me, so there was no confusion. Had mono vision procedure performed 1/2021. Nice facility. The staff were all pleasant, informative, good Covid protocols, had lots of pre-op testing. Unfortunately, immediately after procedure (& still 9 months later) my vision is waaay worse than pre-lasik and now includes daily pain, dry eye, insane light sensitively in right eye. At my follow up appts I was told "sometimes it takes a few times to get it right" and given a script for glasses for what my vision will be after I have a correction done. (completely guessing that'll be my vision kinda like the first go around?) Huge flags. Since the procedure still wear glasses w added expense & pain & exp. Also, it took months and repeated attempts to get a copy of my medical records. When I received records it's missing a lot of notes/post-symptoms. read more

This is by far the friendliest, most knowledgeable, caring eye care and laser center in southlake Texas. Took my son here for and evaluation. The dr spent a great amount of time with us at no charge. We went home contemplating our next move. We called back to see if we could get in and consult a little more which they accommodated. unhappy with insurance person at this office who chose to wait til convenient for her . I made an appointment for my husband two months in advance for this procedure for his eye. Nothing was said that we needed to have a pre-authorization from insurance or a visit before we have this laser done to remove scare tissue from his eye from cataract surgery. It's called a yag procedure. I get a call on that November 16 Thursday That they are most likely not able to do this procedure on appointment. That they would just have to do a certification and then have to make another appointment. I get my insurance on the phone and three-way clearview and my insurance said they had no problem getting insurance prior authorization done same day . so we go into our appointments. The Wednesday that follows which was November 22 today they check his eyes and basically tell us that we need to sit in the lobby and wait for insurance lady to come out to tell us if we can have the procedure done today. We wait an hour and a half. The lady comes out to tell us that we have to wait 24 to 48 hours to get pre-authorization from Insurance . I told her that is not what the insurance said and I would call the insurance. So I proceeded to call Insurance in the parking lot in my car. Got a hold of my insurance they were able to do pre-authorization within 20 minutes of that phone call come to find out Megan the insurance biller at this office did not even send in the certification until today the day of our appointment so we couldn't get pre-authorization prior because she didn't do her job . I did the legwork with the insurance to get the preauthorization done in one day same day and it's just now 3:15 minutes ago. I just called Clearview to make set appointment because the pre-authorization has already been done so I can make the appointment well comes to find out Megan the insurance lady has already left for the day. This is why she wanted to wait 24 to 48 hours to leave and go home early. Well I have a husband I cannot see out of the right eye and needs this procedure Done a procedure that takes maybe 20 minutes max and she leaves before 5 o'clock on a business day. So now not only do we have to wait until Monday after the holidays because Thanksgiving is tomorrow. The lady at the front desk can't even schedule my appointments until she comes back so basically nobody in the office can schedule an appointment until Megan looks at her email. Oh, and by the way, this procedure is 100% covered through my insurance, so why couldn't he have already had the procedure done because somebody didn't want to do their job . this is by far unprofessional and unorganized system they have . she could have got all this done when she was on the phone like I did but she chose to push us off bc she wanted to get off early . I am very unpleased how this is being handled . I made this appointment for this procedure I didn't make a visit to just go in for a exam . I pray I don't have to wait until next year for my husband to see again bc i had to wait until Monday and they booked up scheduling . very unhappy Megan at the office for their insurance billing couldn't do her job . read more

Clearview staff is inconsiderate, snippy and not customer friendly. They are focused on their world. I arrived on time for my appointment with my current insurance card, after 25 min they let me know that I would need to self pay as they had not verified my insurance. Then I find out this is becasue they did not call the NEW insurance, they had check the old insurance! So after taking off time from work to drive 30 min each way for appointment they won't take the time to verify my insurance, that is NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY! Having said that, if you can deal with the office staff the DRs are AWESOME! So for anything serious with you eyes you just have to put up with the staff for the sake of the DRs. read more

I had my lasik done a couple of years ago and everyone was great. I was really nervous about doing lasik but everyone was so kind and professional. The procedure was done in the afternoon. Everything was very organized and sequentially planned for each step. It went great. I had no discomfort. I went home and went to bed for the night. I woke up the next morning and everything was awesome. No pain. Sometimes my eyes would feel some fatigue, due to getting dry from my own forgetfulness to use drops. Clearview is an awesome place I highly recommend. When my son had an eye infection we called and got right in to see the Dr. Due to the nature of the infection, Dr. Lyons wanted to see him on the Friday following Thanksgiving, and came up to the office on his day off to ensure my son was doing ok. He also, was so concerned that he gave us his personal cell number if we ran into any issues on the Thanksgiving holiday. In today's world, this type of care is not expected and highly valued. I had my LASIK done 10 yrs ago at Clearview after consulations at several places. I chose Clearview b/c patients meet with an optometrist, Dr Ryne, early in the process as opposed to most places that have you see technicians only and then the financial coordinator. After meeting with Dr Ryne, I was introduced briefly to the opthalmologist. Naturally, when my husband needed LASIK this year I referred him to Clearview. I was disappointed by them this time, however. My husband never met with the opthalmologist until the day of his surgery! When a person pays thousands of dollars for a medical procedure and is entrusting his vision to a medical professional, the least he could do is meet his surgeon. This seems to be the trend in eye surgery centers nowadays but until now, I've always held Clearview to a higher standard. It now blends in with the rest of them. I will say, we both had great results but makes me wonder if that had anything to do with the surgeon or the person that pushed the button on the machine....One more thing, the follow up was done by a technician.
