    Hobie Wave on Compass Island.

Great place to spend a few hours or a day. Membership is reasonably priced, but this is more of a beach place than a yacht club. Hobie's, dinghy's, kayaks, paddle boards...they have it all. Very helpful and friendly staff. Great facility. Perfect for families.

Herman was a wonderful captain, and made navigating the water and under the bridges look easy. Herman was the captain and Sandy was helping him. First mate? Idk nautical terms. Sandy moved around the boat to provide us with complimentary refreshments (water and soft drinks) and food that we brought on ourselves. Everything was super easy from booking to meeting at the dock. Herman and Sandy were super chill. My friends and I lived our best lives just chatting and relaxing in the bean bag chairs at the front of the boat. While we were out, we also saw soo many dolphins! And after sunset, we were treated to fireworks in the distance (random luck, not part of the cruise lol). It was amazing. There's also a toilet on board if you need to relieve yourself. Otherwise, I brought a sandwich platter on board, but it was a bit rocky to pass them around to everyone. So next time, I think I'd make boxes of charcuterie to bring on board instead. Or just put sandwiches in bags. We had a great time, and wouldn't hesitate to go again!

We really lucked out. This day was one of the highlights of our trip and Captain Herman and Captain Marc took such good care of us all and made sure everything was taken care of. I would highly recommend Dunedin Sailing Charters for any and all of your sailing/chartering needs. We had a blast and the day was very special. Bean bags on the bow for lounging, sandwiches, chips, and delicious sangria, great stories and conversation about the area and sailing stories all made for an amazing day. We would do it all again in a heartbeat.

While looking for things to do when we weren't at the games, the Little Toot Dolphin Adventure kept appearing near the top of almost every recommendation list. It absolutely did not disappoint. We couldn't believe how many dolphins we saw, and how close they came to the boat. It was an incredible experience. The commentary from the staff was also very informative and helped make the trip even more enjoyable. We would definitely do this again on future visits to the area.

The captains all clearly talk to each other and share dolphin sightings because they tend to congregate. The night before my trip with Little Toot I went on a sunset cruise with another company and saw dolphins riding their wake. I was excited to be at the back of their boat and see it for myself. You can see the Little Toot boat in one video We went out at 11. I know earlier is better but it was New Year's Day and I knew I'd want to sleep in. We saw a few dolphins here and there eating. I thought we'd go in without the exciting part. But, the captain took a survey to see if anyone was opposed to staying out a bit longer. Of course, no one objected. He found a couple of playful dolphins for us and I got to see them ride the wake. I'd seen this in a whale watching tour in Monterey Bay (California) but it was nice to see Atlantic bottlenose playing. This boat is close to the water where I've always been on larger boats in California. It's nice being to close. Even from my kayak, dolphins have been further away. I think the only way to get closer would be with captive dolphins. I did learn that there are two boats with the company. Not sure if one is better.

A tip is to take an uber down there because parking is horrible on a Friday or saturday afternoon. Once we boarded we had a table assigned to our group. We sat dow and our server came over right away. We ordered some drinks. Beer and wine is inlcluded but we had to pay for liquor. It was pretty low priced and the drinks were stiff. We had two servers and they were both very nice and helpful. WHat surpised me about this cruise was the food. I enjoyed the food on calypso more than the food on their higher end dinner cruise. It was very tasty. After we ate we went on the roof top for a while and enjoyed the views. We also spent some time near the DJ where people were dancing and having a great time. If I go on another dinner curise this will be the one I chose. Its a great time and a fantastic way to spend an evening in the clearwater beach area.
