This is a terrible company. Do not use!! Management is terrible. They are crooks and the service techs are not reliable. Called to have my pool Closed in the middle of October was on the schedule and no one ever called or showed up. I called and they give me every excuse and said they would be there In 3 days and they never showed up. Called back and got more excuses was told it would be another week. So I hung up and Called another service In Estill springs and they was there in 4 days and closed my pool. They also charged me 260 dollars to fix my pool vacuum and it did the same thing it was doing when I took it in. Took it to Murfreesboro and the motor was bad, they checked and it was still under warranty. They fixed it and didn't cost me nothing. Thank you Hunt pools for your reliable service. We have used Clearwater for 3 years. Our first pool season was great, the second season struggled, and our third one has been a nightmare. When they opened our pool this year, it took weeks to turn the pool blue. I was understanding with this because as soon as they got it clear, our pump went out and had to be replaced, thus starting the clearing process over. However, since then, we've had issues twice with the pool turning green and Clearwater spending weeks trying to clear it up. The first time they dumped so many chemicals over and over that when we drained some water off, it bleached our driveway and killed nearby grass/plants. Although they said it was normal, I do not believe it would have been safe for my daughter to swim in. This last time, it has been green for three weeks. They stated they've been there three times which is more than our biweekly contract. However, the biweekly is to ensure it stays clear. It should not matter how many visits it takes, you clear it up and do not leave your clients with a green, swampy pool due to your inexperienced technicians. Aggravated at the process and zero resolution, we had another pool company test our water to find 0 stabilizer in our pool and numerous issues with the rest. We added chemicals and within 3 days, our pool is clear. I do not understand why Clearwater could not accomplish this. Therefore, we canceled our contract and are paying for our final month of service for nothing. read more

Looking for an Above Ground Pool? DO NOT go to Clearwater Pool and Spa! Requested a quote for a pool kit on 4/6/23, waited two weeks for a call. I called back on 4/28/23 finally received a quote, placed my order, and paid in full. They said they would contact myself and the pool installer when the kit arrived.... should be no more then two weeks. A month later the kit arrived at their location, with parts missing, this delayed it for another week. Pool installer picked up the kit, discovered upon delivery to my location additional parts missing! I called the store; the response was oh well...you can come get them. No apology, no offer to deliver. During the install it was discovered the liner in the kit was not the style I had ordered, but at this point I just wanted the pool completed. My next interaction was when I called to asked if they had the start up kit for the Frog Leap system purchased with the pool in stock, the answer was no, but we can order it and have it available in two days, they stated we'll give you a call when it arrives. Because of my negative experience with them to date, I purchased the start up kit from another store, I have still not received a call. Big warning flag was when I called to follow up on the pool kit arrival, voiced my displeasure with the lack of follow up and communication, Shannon the manager's replied with "It's our busy season we can't get to everything". The customer service is crap. They will never let you talk to someone in charge. They try to add on as many fees as possible. I was quoted 600 and am being billed 946. I personally won't even let them repair my busted pool motor because of how crazy getting my hot tub fixed was. I'd rather lose the money I owe on my pool than deal with them again. April 16th 2021 I purchased a hot tub online through The Aquarest Outlet who is owned by Clearwater Pool and Spa. I received a phone call on September 27, 2021 from the company to tell me they couldn't find my tub. They eventually found it and said they delivered it to the wrong customer and would be picking up the tub (which had my serial # on it) and would take it back to the factory, inspect it to make sure it was in working condition, clean it and arrange to have it delivered. The tub was then lost on the shipping dock and they were unable to locate it. October 9th 2021 the tub was delivered to the end of our driveway and damage was noted at the time. Scratches on the side it had been sitting on. The foam pieces used to protect while in transport were now small pieces stuck inside the plastic wrap. I made contact with the company right away and they sent chemicals and new filters to get us started and to help clean the tub. I was assured everything would be fine. We had an electrician and plumber out to do the install and on October 28th 2021 we filled it and started it up. The tub had been used by the time we got it and all of the working parts inside including the pump, heater, filter and tubing were filled with calcium and rust. Noticing jets not working and large calcium deposits in the bottom of the tub, I called the company back and they sent out chemicals again to purge the spa which didn't help. I have been emailing now for a year and they still have not properly taken care of the non working tub they delivered to us. I clearly paid full price for a used hot tub. They have transferred me to the manufacture who sent us a new heater and pump and the tub is still not in working condition. read more

We provided them with the information regarding the type of hot tub we had and our needs, even took the old filter that we needed to replace for comparison. They pulled one for us and assured us it would work. It did not. When we went to return it they refused to give us a cash refund, stating store credit only. After being a customer for 6 years and always being satisfied with their service I called Clearwater during the shutdown with a last minute request during their busiest time to come and replace my pool liner. A-day and a 1/2 later they came out and got us running. I'm in Real Estate and it is very rare that a company is so attentive to their client as Clearwater is. Over a month late and way over estimate on my liner replacement this spring. Charged 2.5 hours labor for a simple timer installation that they estimated at 1 hr and I could have done myself in 30 min. Overdosed start up chlorine (and charged me for it) so much that after waiting a week I had to do a 1/2 water change just to get it safe to swim in. I'd fill my pool with dirt before I'd let this business near it again. read more

I had requested them take a look at my new pump I just installed to see why it was leaking. They were suppose to show up ONLY if we were home and to go over the issue. The pump was only a week old and I could have sent it back as defective. Instead Clearwater sent their tech over on a day we weren't there and fixed it, supposedly. I told them that my instructions were to schedule an appointment because we have dogs and I don't want anyone getting bit or for something to happen and we aren't there to witness. No contractor is allowed on our property if we aren't here. Clearwater knew this because I had used them for about 2 years prior to this problem. It cost me $125 for them to fix the pump. A year later the pump is leaking again. Why? most likely they didn't fix it correctly. I don't trust them. Shannon at the office is a liar and the owner, Kevin is a liar and a thief. Photo no 50 is my pool. I requested that Clearwater remove it from the yelp site but as with several recent requests, it was ignored. I guess that photo was posted to showcase a pool built on a slope with a retaining wall. There is nothing else special about it. just a simple 14x28 pool. The wall and paver deck have been a problem since day one. Just 3 weeks after our first swim the pool filled with muddy water and a layer of mud on the bottom. Muddy water was flowing through the wall joints faster than the drainage system could handle it. To make a long story short, they experimented all that summer for a solution during which time my yard was torn up. I had to keep a sump pump on the deck all summer to handle the water during a moderate to heavy rain. They finally dug out the backfill and lined the wall with a pool liner which has helped until this spring when it happened again. Now the paver deck has settled unevenly sloping toward the pool. Rain water now runs into the pool and after just a light rain, puddles remain. The deck is always wet or moist causing uncontrollable moss and mold to grow in most of the hundreds of the paver joints. Weeds grow in the joints in just a few days. The same rain storm that initially flooded the pool washed most the paver joint compound into the pool. It was not watered in to cure properly in accordance with mfgr instructions. I said I was making a long story short so I'll stop now .But there is plenty more to tell about the Deck and wall construction except to say I am actually embarrassed for friends or anyone to see it now. No customer service at all. Once you mention you aren't happy with your service, the employees get rude. I asked how to work the pump and they said teaching us to do that is a service they charge for and that they expect us to know what we're doing. We paid over 600 to have our pool opened just for all of our water to drain into our backyard. We called them and they said they'd be back out to look at it in a month... We called another pool service and they were able to tell us what was wrong over the phone. So with our pool half empty we had to go back to Clearwater and spend over 400 more dollars to completely re-salt/ chemical the pool. When I called and asked if they could at least credit us the cost of chemicals that poured right out into our yard they said no. After calling a couple more times to complain I was given a 111 dollar refund. So we paid over 600 dollars just for them to take the cover off our pool and skim the top, over 400 more dollars for more chemicals, plus the cost of filling the pool back up. If you are looking for a hot tub do not go to this company. My husband and I bought a brand new spa from then 21/2 years ago service had to called twice during the warranty and now we are waiting on them again. This will not be under warranty. The motor on the spa is leaking again we have only had it 21/2 years they are charging a lot of money to replace and we have been waiting for 2 weeks. The tech shows up today and has not part because he said that he was told by the "manager" that he need to check on a leak. OMG he already did that two weeks again. So I called to speak with someone I was very upset and the guy I talked said "I am going to have to ask you not to raise your voice to me." Really what ever I asked for him to connect me with some one that could tell me what was going on with my spa.(I wanted to say go to the bathroom and get a tissue because wow) So now I get to the "manager" Shannon she blames it all on the tech say the part were there and he just didn't take them. She said she would have to schedule another date for him to come back. I asked if they could reimburse me for my time that I will have to miss for work that day and she said she couldn't do that. Did not install pool alarm said it was not needed by law. That was a lie. We ordered a pool from Clearwater last Spring. The installer they sent out had a pool alarm to be installed on our pool, He informed us that the alarm was not required and was in fact a nuisance, and that we would probably not want it installed. I went by his judgement and he did not install the alarm, we did not know until recently that it is required by law. This year I have come to find out that it is required to be installed by law. I called Clearwater to inquire, and the woman I spoke to told me it is how you interpret the law that matters, The law says it is required to be installed on all pools in Coffee County, she says they are only required to have one onsite not installed. I paid to have my pool installed properly and up to all legal codes and standards. I asked them to come back out and install the legally required pool alarm and was informed they are going to charge me another $150.00 to do so. I already paid them a lot of money to install my pool PROPERLY. They should have installed it when they came out and installed my pool. They Still refuse to correct this issue. They said they did not lie. They said the alarm is not required to be installed by codes, that it only had to be onsite. The codes say it has to be INSTALLED on every pool in Coffee County. If I paid for you to install my pool it should have been done properly. If you do buy a pool from them don't let them lie to you, you are required by codes to have an alarm installed on your pool. This is not the first issue we have had with them. Last year they were supposed to come out and close my pool. We had a set appointment and they never showed up, I missed a day of work, just to be told oh well things happen. I ended up doing it myself. I also purchased an underwater lamp from them, over $150. put it in my pool and it filled with water, and was a shock hazard. I took it back to them and was told that it should not have happened, they replaced it with a second one that did the same exact thing. I didn't want to go back there AGAIN so I just junked it. I have a lifetime warranty on my pool, which I highly doubt they will honor. I will be purchasing an in ground pool and a spa in the VERY near future. I will have to take my business out of Manchester because I refuse to ever do business with them again. Very bad business practices. read more
