And the reason I called was because someone from that office left me a message that my appointment I have in two days needs to be changed. It's not the first time this has happened, either. I did some research and found that the UMD ran a Radiation Center at Union Hospital in Elkton. I scheduled an appointment with Union Hospital and Dr. Agarwal and began my treatment. Dr. Agarwal, his support staff of nurses and radiation therapist were very professional, very knowledgeable and had an upbeat, positive attitude that made me upbeat and positive in that I was getting the best treatment by the best team around. Even though I live out of state, she has gone above and beyond by calling me from her personal cell phone so I can listen on speaker while Dr. Lobis discusses my father's treatment plan. That level of compassion and dedication is something you simply don't find every day. Shannon has treated both my father and me like family from the very beginning. It is obvious that she doesn't come to work just for a paycheck--she is in healthcare because she genuinely cares about people. Her patients are always her priority, and she consistently goes above and beyond to make sure we feel informed, supported, and cared for during an incredibly difficult time. Unfortunately, my experience has not been the same with everyone in the office. I have spoken with Lisa, who answers the phones, on several occasions and have found her to be impatient and unkind. The employees at Cooper Voorhees understand exactly what you and your loved one are facing and they know exactly how to make you feel great in such trying times and they do it very very well. While it's a shame that I simply cannot come close to saying any of the same for Cooper hospital in Camden NJ, I do prey for anyone ending up there for testing or anything else and prey some of the employees there get their heads checked and straightened out, however Cooper Voorhees as far Oncology or any other services is where you want to be if unfortunately you need such services. Save yourself the pain, the stress, and the tears of the foul treatment people receive at Virtua /Penn, and go straight to Cooper Voorhees, and let your worries fade away at least a bit.

He went out of his way to explain processes and procedures in a way that I could understand them, even drew diagrams for me, and didn't once act like any of my questions were stupid. Scheduling with him takes the weight off your shoulders because he thinks two steps ahead. I'm getting a procedure done in a few weeks and he has everything up to my two week post checkup already on the books. This is definitely super helpful and keeps some of my stress level down. If you need to be here, Dr. Ferriss and his team have great bedside manner and that makes even the worst things a whole lot better.

Yes it's an Oncology office...that means the C word. Think of this location as an annex to the main…read morehospital/clinic in downtown Baltimore. You will get the same Doctors, smaller office, better parking, FREE parking, less hassle, more intimate setting, and easier communication. Now...the initial appointment may take a "minute" to get, but once you become a Hopkins patient you are in! They link to your Hopkins Primary care and other Specialist. All are linked with a database called MY CHART which allows test results, questions, medical records, etc to be centralized. The chemo room (if you need it) hopefully you won't, but is small and quiet. They have private curtains and some private rooms. The nurses are all really nice. The number one positive is the Doctors. The level of intelligence will blow you away. These Doctors are trained and they are constantly researching new methods. If you need a miracle....I personally think they can help. The only minus star..as it seems in all medical offices..is that the Receptionist are not super friendly. For some reason, I am finding this the norm. Overall...I would take this location over downtown any day!
