I have gone to this location for over a decade.. and I used to love it. I started to develop…read moresignificant flashes in my eyesight and went in to have it checked out. The doctor told me they saw nothing and there was a chance within the next 5 weeks my retina could detach. I ended up going to wills eye mid Atlantic retina for a second opinion.. I got diagnosed with Central serous retinopathy (CSR) where fluid builds up behind the retina in the eye causing vision distortion. When I went in for my follow up at Springfield opticians the doctor got angry. She was upset I had gotten a second opinion and basically told me I only have floaters and that I should just leave since I have another appt with wills eye.. (even though she had the report from wills eye in her hand. She didn't even care to read it..) Needless to say, if you're having serious eye issues I would be cautious.

UPDATE: After I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Delco Family Vision contacted…read moreme. I returned the eyeglasses to them and they refunded me all but $50 of the original $560 which I paid to them. The $50 difference was to cover the cost of the eye exam; I requested a copy of my prescription. Legally, they are required to provide a copy of the prescription at the time of examination which they did not do. I feel that I should have been refunded the full amount ($560) but wanted to settle the matter and move on.
