Awful service! Called to come out and fix an issue with a Glassdoor, employee answered but never did show up!

I had been looking for a siding company for a while and was relieved to find a company that came highly recommended from a friend. I could tell from the first meeting I had with them that they were friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with, and their quote was thousands of dollars less than the other company I had talked to! We live hours away from their headquarters, but they had no problem traveling to us. If I had not known someone who had already used them, I might have been worried that it was too good to be true, but they delivered in every aspect. They were meticulous in their work, and their attention to detail was exceptional. We were so impressed with the siding, soffits, and fascia, that we decided to have them give us a quote for gutters as well, and we added that to the project. I have since found out that in addition to windows and siding, they have crews who can do any kind of construction work, and we plan to have them back to help us with the other projects on our house, including new windows, in the future. I would trust them with any job at this point, and I don't think anyone else can beat their prices. I recommend them to anyone looking at any construction job. They are fair, honest, skilled, and pay great attention to detail.

We contacted a handful of companies for estimates and ended up getting canceled on last minute by more than a few of them. The ones that did replied (some well known named companies) wanted an armed an a leg and only for 6 windows. But all those became irrelevant once we started working with True Value World window and siding. The owner was out there day one answering questions explaining all about the windows and giving us our quote. Profesional, friendly and knowledgeable. Their pricing blew the others out of the water! He presented us with options and we decided on the platinum windows which we are in love with. True Value World were extra quick to order the windows. We signed the contract for work, payed the down payment, they handle the city permit and within 2 weeks we were ready for install .. which took 1 day for 14 windows! They stand behind their work and commit to addressing all if any issues! The windows look amazing and with the lifetime warranty I feel sure of the decision to buy. So much so that I am now planning on changing what windows remain to full update the home! 5 of 5 stars would recommend!

On a five star review I would rate this company as a 2. I like the fact Stevan himself came to my family's home and did a good job estimating the project at no coast. We worked together and met as a price. He drew up the contract, I signed it and gave him half of the money up front. The project date was set and I felt optimistic hiring them to do the work. The morning the work was to begin, I waited for Steven's crews. At 9:00 AM an eighteen wheel pulls up to my house and unloads the material in my yard. This was on a Thursday. At 10:30AM, Stevan's crews had not arrived. I called the project Forman and he was very apologetic saying they had cancel the project for Thursday the day before due to the possibility of bad weather. He apologized due to not contacting me regarding them canceling. I was furious. I had canceled work for that day to be there for the roof replacement. I called Stevan and requested we cancel the contract. At this point I didn't feel optimistic about this contractor. I let Stevan talk me into moving forward on the contract and we set a date for the following Monday with the promise that he would personally supervise the project. I told him I was flying to New York and I wouldn't be there on Monday. He assured me he would take pictures and I would be happy with their work. Monday---the day of the project. The workers showed up and went to work. The Forman called me and I tried talking to him but there was a huge language barrier. Stevan sent pictures to my wife and she forwarded them to me. They did a good job but not a professional job. Their quality control is terrible. I hired them to replace the roof, some decking, a lot of the facia boards, drip edge, a section of soffit, and two new boots and turbine, as well as flashing where needed. They finished the job in one day. The roof is now new. They replaced the turbine-new. They did not install the two new boots. The flashing they installed looks terrible and there's areas that need flashing that got over looked. The facia boards will have to be replaced do to poor installation and poor quality control. There's areas of the drip edge that will need adjusting due to being flared upward. This project consist of a hip roof and two sections of flat roof. The flat roof was to get a commercial grade rolled roof. The hip roof was to get shingles. My wife and I spoke with Stevan regarding the color-match of the two. Stevan assures is the colors would match. Well, they don't. Not even close. I am still in New York and have yet to see the roof in person. I spoke with Stevan regarding the above issues and he became offensive saying he felt as if I were "attacking him", and he mentioned they had done extra work and didn't request payment for the extras. Completely unprofessional. I explained to him that I have a right to expect a job well done, and making excuses is not professional. I also reminded him the terms of the contract in respect to additional work: he would contact me and we would come to an agreement. Stevan has assured me that he will have someone at my house next Monday to fix the above problems. He did however say the electrical riser will not get the promised (in the contract) boot due to his worker not feeling safe with the installation, despite the pre-contract talk with Stevan assuring me there would not be any problem with the installation. He even went as far as to explain how the install it. Again, I will do a second part to this review after the corrections have been made. I may do an additional review after seeing the job in person. Hopefully it'll be a better review.

I went into this project confident and well-informed after watching the company's educational…read morevideos and relying on their expertise. The products and installation were generally professional, but important gaps only surfaced once decisions became final -- when flexibility was gone and costs shifted to me. For context, this project included a bedroom patio door, a side entry door, and replacement windows. This review isn't about bad intent. It's about where education and expert confidence end -- and where homeowners need to slow down and verify assumptions. The videos genuinely help level up homeowners. They explain terminology and common pitfalls and make the process feel clear. Where that education can fall short is when theory meets real-world constraints. Understanding products at a high level doesn't guarantee those choices will translate cleanly once manufacturing begins. The first gap I encountered involved usability. I replaced wood doors with fiberglass doors and assumed hanging blinds would be straightforward. I later learned fiberglass doors with foam cores don't provide the same structural support as solid wood, and traditional blind mounting can be risky unless planned around limited wood blocking. By the time this became clear, the doors were already ordered. Internal blinds would have been the safest solution, but that decision must be made before manufacturing. After raising the issue, I learned internal-blind glass units were available, but only in double pane -- not triple pane -- and without laminated options. I would have been paying to move from triple pane to double pane to solve a usability issue that hadn't been discussed earlier. I declined. The issue wasn't that tradeoffs exist -- it was how late they became visible. Another issue surfaced during installation. An existing storm door was removed, and I learned mid-install it would not be reinstalled. That had not been discussed during sales or measurement. The lesson for me: if something matters, confirm it explicitly before installation begins. Install day is where risk largely shifts to the homeowner. After the crew left, I noticed drywall damage, sealant contacting finished surfaces, debris inside and out, a damaged sprinkler head where materials were staged, and cigarette butts in the yard. Some items were addressed later; others required additional time and expense. The patio door also required adjustment and still does not open and close cleanly. I was told the next step may involve shaving material off the door -- an example of how fixes can escalate once installation is complete. My primary concern for the bedroom patio door was security and sound. Based on that, I was advised to go with triple pane. Living with the result, sound performance has not met my expectations. Laminated glass, which was not discussed during sales, is generally considered superior for both sound and security. After raising concerns, I learned the manufacturer does not publish specific sound performance ratings for its door assemblies. The recommendation appears to have been based on industry convention rather than product-specific testing. When I revisited the issue, the recommendation was affirmed and third-party solutions were suggested. When performance isn't clearly tested or measured, it becomes difficult to know whether the product was the best fit -- or whether the outcome simply falls short. If I were starting over, I would validate real-world usability early, confirm important details in writing, treat the measurement appointment as the last true decision point, ask what is tested versus conventional, and actively inspect install day before the crew leaves. The videos and guidance are helpful, but they don't replace pressure-testing assumptions before decisions harden. If nothing else, I hope this review helps turn a private loss into public wisdom for the next homeowner navigating this process.
