Rhonda is easy to talk to & very down-to-earth. Dan and his install team work well together, and with only three of them, were able to do 13 windows (remove & install new) in one day. Very pleased with the quality of the custom windows, and Rhonda offered three different choices of UV protective glass (we chose the middle grade). About a year ago we purchased our 59' traditional ranch style home that had the original windows in it. It has been about six weeks since we had our windows installed by Rhonda and her team at Pro 1 Windows and Doors and my wife and I could not be more pleased with the result. I work in the design industry and coordinate with architects on a daily basis and I also installed windows and restored homes in college, needless to say I had a pretty strong vision for what the front profile of my house should look like. After developing several window configurations and digital renderings Rhonda was patient enough to provide multiple pricing packages that allowed me to make the best decision from an economic standpoint as well as a design standpoint. On top of this, Rhonda was communicative and responsive at a level that is rare for most contractors, all calls/texts/emails were followed up on as soon as she had the time to do so. A few key points I would like to make. I got about five quotes from different window contractors over the course of about 8 months and Rhonda's price was by far the most competitive. After reconnecting with Rhonda she honored her original price and assisted me with at least five different pricing packages for 12 new windows. The quality of windows she uses is great and they were installed with a high degree of execution by Dan and his install team. The mess made from removal of the original windows was also cleaned in a professional manor after the install. If there were a way to give a negative number, I would. Rhonda Howard, the owner of Pro 1, lied several times about several things, never accepted responsibility for problems she knew existed at the end of a day of installation, and only re-installed the 13 windows that were improperly installed, after we stopped payment on the check for the balance of the job. The windows were not installed according to manufacturers specs, they weren't insulated, didn't have flash tape, or window fins/flanges, as needed on a house with siding. Then, she told me she "gave us an upgrade to double hung windows." When I told her that seemed likely ke something we had the o do to get the dual color (white interior/putty exterior) she said, "No, I just did that." When I check d the contract written several weeks prior, it stated "double hung windows installed ...," just as I'd thought. (Talk about gas lighting!) At the end of the day they were initially installed, Rhonda Howard - even when I asked about the significant gaps in spacing around each of the 13 windows, as well as the huge depth of the windows, compared with the depth of the house - she signed off for n all work, strutting up and down our hallway where seven of the windows are, as f she were the best thing since popcorn! Becasue my husband had previously installed windows, I knew what I was seeing looked wrong. (How many people have had their windows installed improperly ny this company, and not known?!) When my husband came home, he knew it was wrong, and when the siding guy came by to look at the finished project, and determine how to start the siding the following day, he stated he knew it was wrong. In fact, he told us, and then called Rhonda Howard, to let her know he could not install the siding until the windows were taken out, properly flashed, with fins added. They did ultimately do that, but only because we had stopped pay,net on the check for the balance of the 9k job total. Rhonda Howard was willing to walk away from this house, knowing the wrong type of windows were not installed properly! When confronted, she never apologized, and instead, continues blaming us, and, the other company doing the siding. It was actually the siding contractor who worked with her to get Pro 1 Windows and Doors to order and pay for fins that can be added to windows, so that the windows could be pulled further into the frames, and properly mounted to the window openings. That took us past Thanksgiving Day, and another week beyond, with windows that were literally taped around the edges, in the case of seven windows. The other windows were caulked from the insid, but during the day with the sun in a certain point, you could see through the caulk to the outside! (We have photos to substantiate all I am claiming.) I've never had such a horrible experience on any home improvement job we've given to a company. read more

After having had several contractors over to our home for various other needs, we were completely blown away by how great Pro 1 performed. First and foremost, Rhonda and her team are top notch from the estimate to the final installation. Pro 1 is super knowledgeable about various solutions, and were able to find the perfect fit for us by balancing cost, look, and functionality. When they say that they do not subcontract, they do not subcontract. We have had other contractors tell us the same, but when time came to perform the work, guess who showed up...subcontractors. I recently purchased new Burris vinyl replacement windows for my entire home through Pro 1 and was very happy with the process and communication. Their price was very competitive and they offer different manufacturers rather than just one option. After speaking with Rhonda over the phone and explaining my concerns, I felt comfortable moving forward with their company and so far have no regrets. The windows were installed about 3 weeks ago and so far, so good. The windows are made locally (Carrollton) and they have a personal relationship with the owner of the companies in which they purchase their windows from. One of the windows did have a chip in the glass and a rep. from Burris was out within a couple of weeks to replace it.
