The issues persist despite multiple service visits, which have been a different technician and story from them every time. In the past, my Top Gun reviews had been 5 stars. Now I warn people to avoid them and Willard. Such a shame.

It may be hot and steamy outside, but it is nice and cool inside. We had been in our home a few…read moremonths, when temps started to rise and we turned on our AC. Outside temp was up in the 90s and inside it would not cool under 79. We called Flex Air on a Thursday afternoon and they came out the next day. They took their time to review all the equipment. They listened to what our needs were. They ended up giving us 4 different options to choose from on how to proceed. They showed us a side by side preview of all 4 otptions and then went into details of each one. This included two with repairs and two with full right replacements. They took their time to answer all of our questions not shying away from the positives and negatives of each option. This gave us a clear picture on how we felt we needed to move forward. They came out the following Monday to put in the new equipment. During install they were polite and friendly, again answering any questions we may have had. We have been using it a week now and everything is running great and nice and cool. We also love the new thermostat. I appreciate them being upfront with us. Again listening to what our needs were and they did not try to push some high end products with a bunch of bells and whistles that we did not need. When our AC unit went out in the lovely Texas…read moreheatwave on 7/22 (aka normal Summer!), Rose was quick to listen to our issues and my comedy around our situation (we have an autistic 6 year old who would've been stuck sleeping in bed with us if we didn't find a solution ASAP). Rose had a technician, Rafael, scheduled to come out the SAME DAY. That is truly unheard of in my experience. We were kept updated on arrival time through a tracking link which is way better than being given a large window of time without visibility into an approximate arrival. Rafael was quick to diagnose our issue and walked through our options (needed to replace the unit which was at end of life), informed us of finance options if approved and even put in a temporary fix so our boy could sleep comfortably in his own room that evening. Rose had 2 wonderful technicians come out to install the new unit the wet next day!!! I'm blanking their names but they were efficient and awesome. We had some issues installing the new thermostat, but again, they put in a temp fix and the new unit was up and running in no time. Another gentleman came out about a week later to install the new thermostat. I'm also blanking his name (sorry :/),but he took the time to walk me through why there was trouble installing it in the first place as well as how to operate the new thermostat, applied some default settings based on his recommendations and made sure my app on my phone was working. Fast forward to today, 9/8, we had an issue over the Labor Day weekend with water leaking through a ceiling fixture (older home, older plumbing, happened before). We contacted Strickland on Sunday and they had another wonderful technician, Duncan, to our home this AM. Duncan took the time to explain to us what was going on with the units and assess as well as diagnose it's a plumbing issue related to the unit(s). He provided us with a reference and we have them coming out at 8 am tomorrow (looks like I'll be doing a review in the near future for them as well ;)). Lastly, huge shoutout to Jeremy. Jeremy is the owner, and I can't say enough great things about him and his team. He took the time to call us and make sure everything was going well. I don't know a lot of owners who care to take the time to do that or take our call on a holiday weekend. We will never use anyone else and will always recommend Strickland to family, friends and strangers. Strickland is like family to us!!

I chose Comfort Land because I related to who I communicated to and was able to establish good communication with them at a, albeit weird hour (Saturday night 9pm). The person I talked to, Will, was very upfront about the pricing. The price was 49$ for a diagnostic visit. I also asked if there was a cancellation fee in case the AC worked itself out, no cancellation fee, and he also recommended some YouTube sites to see if some of the basics could be ruled out on the costumer side. I appreciated that and after doing some price comparison with 2 other companies, one of which tried to upsell me on a yearly plan, I decided to go with Comfort Land. I confirmed the appointment time on Sunday and on Monday they came early afternoon. I was not here when they originally came and my husband interacted with them, he had a favorable opinion. I had done my own research that morning and realized that the problem was likely inside the house since the outside unit was spinning normally and the refrigerant line was cold, but nothing was blowing in my house so I thought it was likely a motor blower issue. they confirmed that they found that the motor blower was not working. they also said the auxillary drain pan was very rusted (like around 2-3 feet of rust on the pan) I like that they documented everything very well and showed and emailed us pictures of what they found in our attic. I felt very comfortable and confident that they were honest and did a good evaluation. They called and had a motor blower and new drain pan delivered from their storage facility and I think the two of them waited outside the house for like 90 minutes for it. I think they came around 1pm, and left around 5 pm after installing everything and left after they made sure the AC was working, including measuring the temperature that came from the AC. In regards to the pricing: It was 2600 to replace the motor and change the drain pan. I did a search on HVAC subreddit and it seemed like that price was reasonable. My husband and I are very grateful for their prompt service, their handwritten evaluation that not only evaluated the immediate problem, as well as overall health of the AC system we had and the degree of wear and tear on some of the other parts. I feel comfortable recommending this company to friends and other people. Please keep up the good work everyone!
