The doctor I saw was great , however the staff could use some customer service training. Very rude.

Don't go to this office! Doctors are great front staff has no clue what they're doing. First I come back for fitting told to make appointment for two weeks to to see doctor to make sure no problems with vision. Instead I have to stay and see doctor, she told me she probably would adjust the contacts. Come back down to make two week appointment. Nope one year, I don't understand. Was told I didn't have to come back in two weeks. Two weeks later I make appointment because eyes not adjusting and wasn't informed by anyone when the new contacts would be available or if any were ordered. Then get a call day before appointment need to reschedule because contacts went to another place. So I call the day of appointment to reschedule for one week to get my new contacts talked to three people who still can't get me a new appointment until August! Last person I had to leave a message and hope they return my call. My experience is horrible with the front personal. I will be going to a different office if I ever get my contacts from this one. read more

I'm taking the time to write this...exhausted from night shift to gripe about all their useless automated systems that got me absolutely nowhere, while I sit here at a Walmart vision center who got me in faster than that automated system. I started with the online scheduling which asks you for everything but your mother's maiden name...like, I just want to see appointment availability...come on. I got to the very end of that only to get a message stating there was a probaly and to call the office. Ok fine, I call, and have to hit 20 buttons before getting to the scheduling section. Only to be stuck with a robot thing. I went through all those questions, again, begrudgingly...only for they to error out too and was directed to a human (finally!) but...it looped me right back to the robot (ugh!!!). I tried one more time to get human and never did. I wish I would've opted Yes for that post-call survey. What a waste of my time. I got in with Walmart and got my new glasses in less time I was dealing with all that automated crud. read more

I had a routine eye exam with Steven Weardon OD . I have been followed for cupping of the optic nerve for 20 years. Dr Weardon insisted on a visual field test which could have been done at this visit. However he failed to review my chart prior to the visit. My eyes had been dilated so he wanted me to return in 6 months for the visual field exam. He lacked respect for the patients time.I told him I was comfortable waiting to next year. He insisted on returning for the test in 6 months. He failed to acknowledge ultimately health decisions are the patients choice.I feel this lack of respect for a patients autonomy is a serious problem and I hope Dr Weardon can learn from this experience. Most patients are intimidated by the provider this is just wrong. Providers need to respect their patients. read more

Poor customer service. No need to elaborate here, just go somewhere else.. I rarely post reviews but this type of business should provide value added to a community since it's a branch of healthcare in general. Very minimal wait....... Very thorough exam. Dr. Weardon spent time with me explaining all that my eye exam revealed and even showed me my charts compared to my last visit. He was very clear. I didn't feel rushed at all and he answered all of my questions. Highly recommend!! read more

I have an ophthalmologist and retina specialist in Atlanta . I went here because I thought I needed glasses . Saw the optometrist and he said I didn't need all three . I told him I thought I needed glasses but I didn't want to drive all the way to Atlanta . He said you could just ask your ophthalmologist for a prescription. I almost walked out of the exam room then . Won't be back to this practice for anything . Rude OD with no manners . read more

Crooks. They charged me $80 contact fitting fee when I had no intention to buy contacts. I wanted eyeglasses. They were very rude in the office. When I thought I had it cleared up at their office they sent me a bill in the mail. read more

The rudest front desk staff. Had an appointment I waited MONTHS on just to get there and them tell me the doctor wasn't there. Rescheduled me for over a month out. No notification or anything. Got off work early for this appointment too. So upsetting and I will be finding a new provider. Also this was my very first time in this practice. horrible experience. read more

How this business adds new patients is a mystery. Spoke to Lakeon at 864-654-6706 who had no interest in me as a patient. She repeated WE and OUR over and over again demanding I could not book an April appointment with out my BcBS INSURANCE NUMBER. Rude girl didn't want to understand my insurance pays nothing due to $3000.00 deductible. Well aware this lazy employee just didn't want to work and was never given the supervisor I asked for. Sherry had left for the day just after lunch and left this horror running the place. Please record and listen to this rude women. Your failing business is the reason for it. Going elsewhere. Wing a SC resident I made the drive of 5 1/2 hrs one way from work location as I'd always received great care at Clemson Location. WELL it's quite different in The Anderson location. When the Dr Glasser came in he hurried thru his exam and told me I was legal to drive with current prescription. I had been dealing with blurred and double vision issues for 2 months. I had to take retirement early due to difficulty seeing computer at work. When I tried to ask questions about this issue he abruptly stopped Me And said he was extremely busy and needed to go to next patient. Approx 5 mins with him and nothing asked or mentioned about my issue. Mind you I am already basically blind in One eye due to wet macular. Now 3 weeks later I am still having issues and second Dr ear work location said there is inflammation behind eye which he found when he took his time and looked thoroughly during the same exam I had in Anderson. I feel very annoyed that it was not found in first exam. This issue is extremely important with it being the only good eye I have. I think they need to stop over scheduling the Dr so heavily that they feel the need to slight patients of their time. I am currently on prednisone drops For the inflammation. I went to Clemson Eye looking for a quality Opthalmologist after moving from Florida to Anderson, SC. I have a history of Optic Neuritis and have Multiple Sclerosis. The type of visit I was having was under medical and this was were the first issue occured. The front desk wanted to dispute with me how my medical insurance worked. Then I waited an hour in the room when it was discovered I needed another test they forgot. Then I finally saw the eye Dr. who seemed to rush through an eye exam of looking at my eyes and repeating the information to the nurse, and not discussing anything with me sitting right there. I was never tested for my prescription, I was told I was seeing 20/20 with my glasses. I asked if I could get a copy of the script. The Dr. waved in the direction of the front and said I could get it there. During check out I asked for the script and was told it was 70.00$. I never had the refraction done which I know my medical insurance did not pay for, and was then told that the particular doctor I saw did not take eye care insurance. But I never had the refraction done. It just cost me 70.00$ for a copy. I will not be going back there for my special eye care needs. read more

If I could do "negative" stars, I would. Went into office today for post cataract surgery checkup. Got there 10:15, appt. at 10:30. Nurse came out about 10:45 and did post surgery eye evaluation. Back, waited on doctor. Many others came in and left after seeing doctor. I'm still waiting. At 11:40 I go to window to see what problem is. Nice girl very apologetic and got supervisor, who was a bitch! She said everyone in waiting room was AHEAD of me, but she could go and tell them I need to go before them if I insisted. Seriously! Should have told her I know she was lying because they ALL got there AFTER ME. I didn't. Just told her to drop her attitude and I needed to see the doctor. As I left, I saw her again and finally said " You guys dropped the ball on this and now you're trying to cover your ass". It felt good. They are supposed to do right eye, too, in two weeks. LOL They need to hold their breath for that one. read more
