I called and set an appointment for 11:30. I arrived at 11:15. at least one other person came in with no appointment. they took that person ahead of me a little before 12:00. finally at noon they came to me and asked if I had an appointment and I had signed in at 11:15. they then wanted to know if I had filled out the medical questions online, which I had not because the appointment setter said they found my profile since I was a previous customer and mentioned nothing about medical questions. They proceeded then to say they were sorry and gave me an iPad with questions to answer and said they would get me next. After completing the questionnaire and giving it back to them they proceeded to call someone else. I promptly told them to cancel my appointment and walked out. I will never go back and I would never recommend them. I will find a professional office that can meet my needs and treat me and my time like they really care. read more

The staff in there are some of the rudest and unprofessional group of people I've ever been around. All I wanted to do was order contacts. I had my eye exam done a couple months ago and the lady acted like I was lying about it until she pulled it up herself. There's no system. I waited patiently while the worker kept helping people just coming through the door and not even helping me who was standing by her counter waiting for 20 minutes. Then she made snarky comments about me asking if they could match the price online. (Which by the way they do) I just wanted my contacts. Poor service and they do not honor their appointments. I arrived early for my 545pm appointment and the receptionist was busy talking to someone. I signed in and filled out some insurance paperwork. At 555 she finally acknowledged my existence and asked me to fill out medical history on a pad. The other person in the waiting area stated he had been there since 515pm and no one had finished checking him in. They close at 7 and I knew I would not get my exam so I left. I paid 300$ for 1 pair of glasses when it said it would be 2 for 79.99. They said same-day glasses it's been three weeks and still waiting I called now not going to be ready till June 6, WTH I can't see without my glasses! I am wearing my reading glasses to drive and work it's blurry and my head hurts really bad! Don't ever go here! Also, they didn't give me a real exam they did it virtually and he said they were estimating my eye sight how am I supposed to see out of an estimation? On top of that the chairs in the waiting room are so low to the floor it looks like they are for children not adults I am 52 years old with really bad knees it hurt so bad getting up off of those chairs I wanted to cry. Virtual doctor, not sure I'm ok with that. Costs were way higher than the advertisement. lots of addons. no prices until your finished. cost me over $600.00 for my exam and 2 pairs of glasses. I am was excited about receiving my new glasses, and upon arrival, I was shocked to see that they were not the frame that I picked out. Their so called; designer eye wear is actually switched to a cheaper frame. I will never get another pair of glasses here. I had an appointment today at 12:30PM. I got there 15 minutes early and sat down, because no person was visible to help me. 5 minutes later another customer came in, and all of a sudden a dark haired woman showed up to help her. The other customer explained that she knew she was early. She was checked in right away. I said to the receptionist that I had been waiting before her. She gave me a pad to complete my information. I did it in about 2 minutes and handed it back to her. She just sat it back on the pile of pads and went back to what she was doing, which didn't seem to be anything. A minute or two later, the other woman got called in. I reminded the receptionist that my appointment was at 12:30, and it was already after 12:30 at this point, and that the other woman had told her she was early. She said that they take people based on when their paperwork was completed, and she must have done that previously. I asked if they go by appointment times, she said no. The blonde woman working there heard me and came over and told me it should just be a few minutes. I sat back down. After almost 10 minutes, I looked up other optical stores in Anderson and called one. I then walked out and made the appointment with Eyemart Express, which has more stars in their yelp review than Stanton optical does. I went to Stanton because my husband had gone there without any issues, so I thought this could be our go to optical store since we are relatively new in town. Well that can never happen now, based on their rudeness and incompetence. I recommend you find any other optical place in Anderson than Stanton. read more

Such a great experience ! I had got a snazzy pair of metal frame glasses with the anti glare a couple months ago. About a month later I started getting a rash on my temples. It was from the glasses. I'm thinking there must be nickel in your he frames that's causing the problem it was bad. I stopped by the Anderson store with the idea I needed new frames but wanted my expensive lens in them and wasn't sure if the service I was going to receive. I needed it today because I'm taking an exam for FAA PART 107 unmanned pilot license and didn't want my temples burning again. I met Teresa and explained my problem, she smiled and said I can help. I put my glasses on, she saw they were touching my skin and said give me a minute, she brought them back, adjusted to fit properly. They did not have a doctor on site, so the visit was virtual. You can obviously check how well I see, but feel like some things could be missed. Things that an on site doctor could catch. The staff that was present was friendly and courteous. The person that helped me with my glasses made it a little better. Teresa was amazing and helped navigate my insurance and my choices. Made an appointment to have eyes checked,showed up and was informed that the appointment has been changed to a video appointment. I'm just old fashioned and prefer to have my doctor hands on. Stanton Optical is a fraud. They have someone in another country answer their phone and they schedule you for an appointment. Then the actual office calls you back and says that time is actually not available so they schedule you for a remote visit, but don't tell you to come in. I asked how a remote visit worked and they never said anything about coming in. Only said that the exam would be remote. I'd never heard of a remote eye appointment and when they said it is done all of the time and South Carolina is one of the last states to implement this as an option, blah, blah so I agreed. When the appointment time came and went, I called the office to find out when they would contact me and she said you have to come in. Stephanie, in the Stanton Optical Office in Anderson, SC was very glib and mocking. Beware, they are not professional at all. I drove for an hour to get here. After eye exam, I find out their $59.95 deal is misleading. The eye exam is $45, which is taken off the price of whatever glasses you pick. And the deal only overs frames they don't hold in house, so you have to go back in ten days for pick up! So I opt to pay more to get them that day. They tell me thirty minutes. I go have lunch and drop off my phone for a new battery. When I try on my new glasses, I can't see! Back to their optometrist. Supposedly another half hour to fix. I go get my nails done and come back over an hour later and they haven't started! I get my glasses. They aren't perfect but at least I can read with them. They use false advertising and their O.D. Needs some more education. Their $60 deal cost me $100 and four hours (not counting time!) read more

The people that work at this store are good, however I picked my glasses up and within 2 weeks the lens fell out so I took them back and they were great took them and put the lens back in then 2 days later they fell out again so I took them back again and they let me exchange them for another pair. They sent that pair to be prepared for me and I had to wait 6plus weeks to get my glasses back and when I got them the employee just gave them to me snd said thank you and walked away. I will never go to Stratton again my new glasses don't have the dark tent I paid for with the first ones and they said I'd have to pay again to get it done to my new ones. I don't recommend that anyone use them if you want good product as it's not just the people that work there but the products you receive from them also. read more

The selection of frames that were 2 for $99 were extremely limited. Eric helped me find two pair that were $29 each. These were buy one get one free. This place is NOT recommended. I went there, had exam, picked out frames. They don't tell you the lens prices are super expensive-mine ended up being almost $800. They or their lab messed up the prescription 3x, then told me to go to another place and bring them the Rx. Same day appointment, Great! Even got a call to come in earlier, Awesome! Was lost, an Assistant guided me, Great! Walked in, got a warm greeting, recognized Teresa, a former worker of Wal-Mart whom I liked. The staff was friendly, Jim the Optometrist was personable and professional. My only complaint is the selection of frames. I have different eyes, also require bi-focals. I didn't qualify for the 2 for $59, or the 2 for $99. Teresa was able to assist me. I was also able to use my $25 coupon. When the smoke cleared, my glasses costs me with insurance, $217. I'm also able to bring my expensive frames and get lenses for under $200. If they can get better frames and swap them with those cheap, useless frames, that would be a Big Plus!!!. It wasn't exactly the bait & switch but it sucked I could not get the 2 glasses deal. Overall the place served its purpose and I got glasses for a hell of a lot less than Wal-Mart or Clemson Eye, the latter being more expensive than NY. Absolutely the best experience I have ever had since I've been wearing glasses. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. I had just had surgery and have to be on a wound vacuum they made adjustments for me and everyone was so pleasant and helpful. Was a great full eye exam. When I went back to pick up my glasses they called me by name and was very helpful in fitting them. I have used America's best before and will never go back. I got two pair of glasses for half the cost of one pair at America's best. Wonderful place would recommend anyone needing eye exam to go check them out!
