She was nervous and upset because her wedding was in 4 weeks and her dress hadn't even arrived yet. That is scary on its own. The manager was literally yelling at the bride and we could hear everything. It was SUPER unprofessional. Our stylist even apologized... the bride said to us "do not buy here". We listened to her, obviously we do not want to go through that if we have issues too. The bride was in a crunch and literally showed up at our next appointment - she bought a different dress at the other shop. Like I mentioned - our stylist was friendly, but I don't even remember her name. We didn't connect. I felt comfortable at the other places and got to know the stylists and had conversations with them.

I did not make an appointment and I would suggest that you do. You have to give them your life story, blood type, and next of kin to make an appointment which is a bummer (exaggeration but they ask for a lot of info), but at least they don't require a credit card number like another local prom shop. First visit (without appointment), we were grumped at by the checkin staff, then assigned to a very grumpy, irritated, overworked sales person who did NOT want to help us. She was very unpleasant, and unfortunately they are required to stay by your side for the entirety of the appointment. She offered no assistance and just stood next to us glowering and chatting with other sales people about not wanting to be there. I am not naming names because everyone has a bad day, but we didn't enjoy the experience at all mostly due to working with her. The store has a pretty decent selection, but we went in March for a May event and they were already lowish on inventory. I was told that they don't have "stock" and what's on the floor is what they have, so I highly recommend finding out when they place orders and going in that month. Pressure to "buy today" is high but understandable given that the item you like really might be gone when you go back next. Prices were on the mid to high range. The cheapest dress I saw was $250 and I saw prices going into the 700/800/900 range. Definitely higher than departments stores, but better selection, fit, & quality. We didn't buy a dress on our first visit, partly because of the unpleasant sales lady. We went back after shopping several other places and did ultimately buy a dress here. I was disappointed that the commission for our purchase went to the person who helped us the first time because our second visit (with appointment) was much more pleasant, although since we were there specifically to buy, we didn't really get a sales person assigned on the second visit. The manager that helped us was lovely and the sales desk people were nice. I don't know if there are more inexpensive options earlier in the "season" so part of my reason for 3 stars is price and part of the reason is from that very unpleasant sales experience. For quality of dresses, I would put them at a 4.5 stars.
