Did not end up buying my dress here. I want to be clear - my stylist was very friendly and we had no issues with her. However I clearly stated my vision and I just don't feel like it was executed. We visited two additional bridal shops and the entire visit was like night and day. I found my dress elsewhere because I felt 100x more comfortable at the other places. While we were trying on dresses, another bride was at the counter. She was nervous and upset because her wedding was in 4 weeks and her dress hadn't even arrived yet. That is scary on its own. The manager was literally yelling at the bride and we could hear everything. It was SUPER unprofessional. Our stylist even apologized... the bride said to us "do not buy here". We listened to her, obviously we do not want to go through that if we have issues too. The bride was in a crunch and literally showed up at our next appointment - she bought a different dress at the other shop. Like I mentioned - our stylist was friendly, but I don't even remember her name. We didn't connect. My alterations at the store were the same price as the dress!!!! SHOP AROUND FOR ALTERATIONS AND DO NOT USE THE SAME STORE YOU BUY YOUR DRESS. I love my dress BUT I would have shopped around if I knew the alternations were going to basically be as much as the dress. I love my dress! The day I got it was an amazing day with Megan..... but yesterday I got my dress fitting with Dana. The way they made it seem was like a flat rate and that their fittings were afforable..... they stated starting at $300 for the fittings. I did not shop around at any other companies because I trusted that I would be getting a good quality and a good deal. I was shocked the alterations were $800 as much as the dress. I feel a little swindled and once I had that price, what just take my dress and say no. I paid half, but I am not happy with how they do their fitting process and pricing. I would have gone somewhere else to do my fitting. Dana was very kind, but I blew a hole in my budget for alterations. Happy to pick my dress up but definitely do not take any vendors at their word..... I should have asked for pricing before booking my appointment. read more

Ok, the disclaimer is that I haven't received my dress or had alterations yet so this is strictly about the shopping experience: The stock is super extensive. They mentioned that they have 800+ dresses in stock. I also happened to note the room where they have the samples they are retiring and sale to clients who need one in a shorter time or want to save some money--although these are of course limited by what size you're looking for but there looked to be a ton of options there. The stylists do a great mix of pulling/making suggestions for you and walking with you so you can look at options yourself. I worked with Megan during my first visit who was very attentive and had a great interpretation of what I was looking for in my random rambling. She texted a few weeks later to mention that the dress I had been most interested in would be part of an upcoming trunk show and would have a discount during that weekend. I was so impressed that she remembered and took the time to do that. I really felt like it was thoughtful and a personal touch. My second try on was great too. I really had a lovely experience. The shop has been in business for over 30 years. They partner with Savvi Formalwear so your groom/groomsmen can get discounts on their suits/tuxes. They did mention that as of May 2024 they will no longer be doing bridesmaid dresses. read more

My appointment with Denise was amazing, she listened to me, she read my body language, and was so encouraging the entire visit. My dress arrived months before I expected it to and I wanted to bring my mother and MIL who weren't there to help me pick the dress. The last dress appointment was less than satisfactory. Unfortunately Denise was not working the one day both of my moms would be in town. From the moment we walked in the vibe was just off. The consultant (blonde, 20's-30's, seems inexperienced with customer service) seemed bothered I brought guests with me even though I stated on the call to make the appointment I would. She did not try to add any accessories once I had the dress on and when my moms started asking about veils, sleeves ,and tiaras et. c., she seemed immediately annoyed as if this isn't her job. I had questions about some thing's I previously discussed with Denise and this consultant was telling me no to everything. Thankfully the shop manager was nearby to overhear and corrected the consultant that what I was saying was right. If you go, be sure to make an appointment and ask for Denise! read more

Great variety of dresses to choose from. I went into the Ultimate Bride to try on one particular dress they had. Unfortunately it wasn't the one, I don't think I would have found the one if it wasn't for my consultant Triggy(who no longer works there) but she was amazing in listening to what I love or didn't love about a dress and very knowledgeable in steering me in the right direction. The store it's self was very clean. Never had any issues with that. Seamstress, who I can't remember her name, *oops! Did awesome on my dress. She ended up having to take it in 5 inches and added a custom belt. I was soooo happy with my dress. It was perfect for me and our wedding. The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is due to the lack of organization. The ladies never seemed to know what was going on, when you had appointments scheduled, and at one point they didn't realize they had my dress! I wish they would keep more notes in each brides chart. May 2018 I went in to try on dresses for the first time at The Ultimate Bride. I made an appointment for a Thursday evening and brought champagne and four family members. Ann helped me try on every style and narrow it down to what I liked. Once I chose a style, she brought gown after gown for me to try until the found the perfect one! A week later I was doubting my choice and went back alone; Ann helped me again and I was just as in love with my dress as I was the first time. The place is clean, staff is so kind and patient, and I couldn't have had a better experience! Updated December 2018 Things took a turn for the worst when I decided to have my dress altered here. My dress was going through alterations for over five months and I visitors for NINE scheduled fittings. Kara was my seamstress and when I went in for my "final fitting" and take my dress home, I was informed Kara was no longer with the company and the alterations manager was taking over my alterations. From then on, it was our frustration and appointments. I was charged over $500 for alterations and when asked for a refund, I was told that wasn't something their company did. In the end, I do love my dress and can't wait to get married next weekend. But to all the other brides out there, the hassle isn't worth it. Get your alterations elsewhere! read more

Ashley F. is the queen of all bridal consultants! I was having a rough time putting my finger on the perfect dress. I hadn't heard of Ultimate Bride but called in pure distress. Ashley answered and she was a joy over the phone and was able to squeeze me in that weekend. At the appointment she was fun and so amazing! She brought the excitement back to dress shopping! Because of her i found ThE DRESS but the best part.. Ashley had actually pulled my dress after we spoke on the phone. Just after hearing my voice and the look I thought i wanted, she had two dresses in mind. And one of those dresses was the one I will walk down the isle in. She is that good!!! DO NOT USE THEIR SEAMSTRESS SERVICES! I went in August of 2023 to search for my dress. The service was pretty good (nothing special), they were helpful with what I was visioning, and we were able to find my dress that dame day. Fast forward to June of 2024, I had my first alterations appointment scheduled. We went in, tried on the dress, and discussed what I wanted to change/add and the length that needed to be taken off. 3 weeks later I go in for my second appointment. The length was taken off, belt was sewn in a few places to make sure we liked how it looked. Said that for my next appointment belt would be done and sheer fabric would be covered. Another 3 weeks goes by, I try on my dress... the belt was not touched, the side stitching looked unfinished, like it was sewn by someone with their eyes closed. At this point my mom and I were becoming frustrated but we were assured it would be completed by my last appointment, my pick-up appointment on August 19th (my wedding is on August 24th). We go in today, August 19th, for my final fitting. And at this point, you'd expect the dress to pretty much be perfect, and you can basically walk out. NOPE! The side stitching was STILL messed up, unfinished, stain on my dress... we had to ask the seamstress several times to fix the stitching until it was somewhat good. When we mentioned the stain we basically were told "that's not from us, there's no way that was our fault, we didn't do that" when the entire time my dress was at their store. By no means am I saying it was their fault (could've been mine from makeup or whatever) but we had asked if they had any cleaning services and were told "no we don't and we didn't do that". A very very terrible customer service response from their seamstress. While all of this is going on the seamstress was rushing us out the door to leave. Basically not answering any of our questions and continuing to make excuses as to why there could've been a stain and why the seams looked the way they did. We were then told to sign a piece of paper saying we're satisfied with the dress and everything they did to it, and by no means were we satisfied. So we obviously didn't want to sign the paper but had to in order to take my dress home for my wedding in 4 DAYS We made notes on the paper saying we were not satisfied with the dress, the stain that was there and how the seams still looked unfinished (after 3-4 times of her "fixing them". The seamstress said she would talk to our manager and give us a $140 refund. Which at this point it's not about the refund it's about the customer service my mom and I received 4 days before my wedding just trying to make sure my dress was perfect since the alterations cost about the same price as my dress!! Overall - this place was fine. The process for receiving my dress was good but DO NOT get your alterations done there. Our seamstress' name was Kitty (?) and I would not recommend her to anyone! read more

She took a picture of a dress I thought was "the one" that I found at a store earlier that day and found a similar dress that I loved EVEN more! She was so personal and sweet. I could tell she truly cares about her clients. I am going back to find my flower girl's dress in a couple weeks and I can't wait! I tell you Elizabeth went looking and found MY DRESS!! this dress checked all my boxes even the breast area I mean EVERYTHING!! Dress shopping was great - then the alterations estimate soured the experience. Dress shopping was a wonderful experience, I'd give that 5 stars. The it came time for alternations. The dress is very simple, no lace, sequins or beading with thin spaghetti straps. The straps and sides needed to be pulled in about 1", and the dress needed to be hemmed and bustled. The price of the dress was $2,000. And alterations? $1,230. I'm still speechless and feel like we must have looked like stupid people they could take advantage of with this insane pricing. We found a local seamstress to do the dress for $375. I'd give alterations zero stars, so averaging the experience to 3 stars. read more

This was the first place I booked an appointment with to find my wedding dress. I have to say I loved working with Megan! She was so helpful, patient and really sweet! My appointment was only an hour and a half but because she didn't have an appointment afterwards, she took the time to make sure it was a wonderful experience for me and my best friend by not rushing us out. I was surprised to find "the one" so soon and I knew it once I got emotional along with my family on a Zoom call back in Houston! I really enjoyed my time here (such a different feel than David's, urgh). The website was a little outdated but just call and sort your appointment out over the phone instead. Arrived early for a 3:30 appt on Saturday in November, and almost no one else was there! A couple more groups eventually appeared, but each was in a different area so it felt private. Was offered a bottle of water and shown into a lovely show area with a long curved pedestal, 3-pane mirror, and a couch, surrounded by veils and belts and dresses all attractively displayed. The changing room was large and had lots of mirrors too. In my price point and style (less than $1500, fit and flare with illusion lace), had a ton of options. Apparently I'm partial to Essense of Australia/Stella York. I think all the dresses I was shown were within this price point. Our attendant Crystal was fantastic, I told her what I wanted and showed her two photos on my phone, and she pulled a handful of dresses that matched what I was looking for. After letting me look a bit, she solicited my opinion on what I liked and didn't like and used it to hone her next picks- which I really loved! She was with us pretty much the whole time, fluffed the trains for me, and pointed out details. She has a sense of humor and her own sense of style too, and when she felt that something was missing, she went the extra mile to find me a dress that would knock my socks off (aka, more sparkle!). She was genuinely excited when I liked a dress and although she did offer her opinion, she didn't put TOO much pressure on me. She did let me know about the timeline for ordering dresses and alterations. Got a thank you letter with favorite dresses listed and Crystal told me when she worked so I could meet with her again if I wanted. Ultimate Bride has a separate in-house alterations department that she knew about but couldn't give me details on alteration prices. Thanks Ultimate Bride! My first stop for wedding dress shopping was The Ultimate Bride. I brought my mom, aunt, a bridesmaid and matron of honor, and the staff was warm and welcoming when we arrived for our appointment. Dana was my consultant and listened to the specific styles and ideas I had in mind for what I was wanting in a dress, but also brought a few back for me to try on that were slightly out of my comfort zone - which was a great idea for my first dress shopping experience, I think! My party found a couple of dresses around the store as well and Dana was happy to let me try them on. I only tried on probably around 8 dresses, but perhaps this was because there was a more limited selection in my price range. At the end of my appointment, Dana didn't make us feel pressured to make a decision, even though there was one dress in particular I really loved - she made it a point to say that we should see what else was out there, but that she'd be thrilled if we returned for the dress. While I ended up finding "the dress" elsewhere, I highly recommend The Ultimate Bride and Dana! It was a great experience and start to my wedding dress shopping! read more

Let me start this by saying, if I could give this shop no stars, I would. I went in a two times (once for bridal gowns and once for bridesmaids dresses) both times were horrible. The people who work here act like they are in Beverly Hills, you're not, so stop. When I came to try on bridal gowns the girl who was helping me was nice but I don't think she heard anything I said about what I was looking for in a gown. I had been to several stores and knew exactly what I liked (and what I didn't), even had pictures. She brought me everything that I hated. Literally every single dress she brought me was exactly what I didn't want. I tried on quite a few dresses but we were in and out in about 10 minutes. Very disappointing. When I came back in with a bridesmaid we were told that we couldn't even look at dresses without an appointment (That was my bad but we had been to other stores who let us at least look). There was NO ONE in the store. She went and asked the manager but when she came back she said that if we wanted to try on any dresses it would be a $50 charge. WHAAAT?!? To try on a freaking dress? That's stupid. We left immediately and I will most certainly not ever step foot in this store again. I've also warned my fellow engaged friends to stay away! read more

For a store is one of the higher-end bridal shops in the St. Louis area with mid-range designers, I'm disappointed that they sold my name to various bridal/wedding vendors in the area, who now solicit me by phone constantly--no matter that my sign-in sheet made it clear that I wasn't getting married within a few hundred miles of this city. If they want to appear as a higher-end bridal store, then don't act like a discount bridal store, and stop having Savvi (yuck) call me so many times. My appointment here was fine. Nothing fantastic, but nothing horrible. The consultant was nice, although I've had samples better fitted and pinned at other appointments. The dress selection is also OK--although as other reviewers have noted, you don't get to see their stock. You tell them what you're thinking and they pull everything. The sales person helping me was super nice but to prevent wasting more of her time, I walked out of the store without even trying any dresses on.
