I can only imagine the difficulty of being a bridal dress consultant in today's wedding culture. You have to be a chameleon. A good consultant will be friendly without seeming insincere. A great consultant will give opinions without limiting the brides choices. I walked in with a complex list of ideas and expectations that were nearly impossible to meet. Anna was fantastic! The consultant had a hard time listening to what we as the brides confidants wanted to see the bride in (the bride wanted and appreciated our help) they didn't have a huge selection as to what we wanted. If you're looking for your bridal gown and want an honest, relaxed, no bull shit experience then White Traditions is an excellent choice. After having no luck at another bridal shop down the street, my mom, sister and I randomly decided to drop in for a quick look before calling it a day. We called and asked if they could fit us in and they said in 15 minutes we're all yours. After looking at about 5 other local bridal shops over the last couple months I was ready to be done with dress shopping. Just walking in to White Traditions I had a good feeling. With no one running up to me after stepping foot in the door to ask me 20 questions, a modern and stylish look to the place, and laid back staff, I was already a happy customer. Unlike many of the other shops, they just let me and my fam browse through the dresses and we were able to take our time. There was just enough to choose from, but not too many as to where I could not look through them all. It was refreshing knowing that I got to see all of the dresses and was not having to rely on someone who knows nothing about me to pick out my potential dress. Jessica (the owner) and her sister were honest, friendly, and helpful in picking out the perfect dress! You can tell that they are serious about their work and their ultimate goal is to help you find the perfect dress, not just to get a sale. One con is that they do not offer in house alterations, but they do have recommendations and one women comes to the shop every Thursday to meet for alterations. They also do not have a large selections of bridesmaid dresses and the ones I liked were a bit expensive. Price range on bridal gowns is average with some cheap buy off the rack dresses and most dresses priced somewhere around $800-$1200. My mom, two friends, and I had a wonderful experience at White Traditions finding my wedding gown. We had a comfortable area to hang out and we all felt comfortable grabbing any dress for me to try on. I found my dress last June, picked it up in the fall, and my wedding was this May. I ended up spending more than I had planned (probably because I got a ball gown), but was super happy with the dress I picked. I cannot say enough good things about White Traditions. This was my first time trying on wedding dresses and the casual experience really helped put me at ease. The staff are so sweet and helpful and made everything pretty seamless for me. My biggest concern with dress shopping was body consciousness and having to try on sample sizes. These ladies didn't make me feel bad at all and they had all of the tools necessary to allow me to try on any dress in the store and still get a feel for how it would look when properly fitted. This may sound silly but I kept an appointment at a larger bridal shop and it was a nightmare. They had sample sizes that were so tiny and so big and no way of adjusting them to even get a feel for the dress. Don't be fooled by the size of the store and the amount of dresses to choose from. The dresses they have are beautifully curated; they have something for everyone. I'm pleased to say they had just the right dress for me and that's no small feat. read more

Maybe better for brides than bridesmaids? My first appointment with WT was great... but when I recently picked up my bridesmaid's dress, I was pretty unhappy with the result. After being measured and trusting that they knew which size to order, the dress I picked up was 3 sizes too large. Though I was warned that the dress might not fit me 100% and expected to make minor adjustments, the dress I received seems like it was meant for someone else! This was upsetting (given that there isn't enough time to order a correct sized dress), but perhaps more upsetting was the customer service (which everyone else seems to be raving about!). I was visibly upset, and the person helping me came up with quite a few excuses about why the dress was too large. She only apologized about the matter after I paid the remainder of the dress and wasn't very understanding about the cost and time I now face to correct the issue. For the money I spent, I expected a dress that would fit me. I trusted that WT would know which size dress to order me, but I know now (and recommend) to be very vocal in the sizing process. I also hope in the future that they handle these types of issues with more grace because this shop has beautiful dresses and so much potential! read more

I had a wonderful experience with White Traditions! I made an appointment during the busy season, but they never made me feel rushed during my appointment. It's a very cute, intimate boutique with a lot of gowns to choose from in my style (lace) and in my price range ($1000-1500). I originally found my dress at another boutique, but they told me they couldn't get it in time for my wedding. Jessica (the owner) was able to order my dress that day (a Saturday!) and assure me it would arrive in time. I also took advantage of the seamstress that comes in on Thursdays for alterations, which were quick and easy. Overall I'd highly recommend them for your bridal gown. The woman who was my consultant was great at listening to what I wanted and was able to find me all of the possible options. I absolutely loved my experience with White Traditions. It was the first salon I went to and there's definitely a reason I came back and purchased from them. They were not pushy in the slightest, encouraging me to take my time and go to other stores to make sure I had the dress I wanted. I was a walk in bride. On a Saturday afternoon. Let that sink in. Yep I committed the cardinal sin. But let me give you a little back story, it's a long one because I have to paint you a picture. I have recently lost a significant amount of weight and had to let go of the first dress I loved and start the search all over again. I had tried to make an appointment at the bridal salon we purchased my mom's dress and my maid of honor's dress at but they didn't have an opening until next weekend. So I made an appointment at another salon and emailed the consultant my colors and pics of my other dress and felt pretty good about the appointment. I gave my girls the details and crossed my fingers, threw some salt over my shoulder and went about my week. Fast forward to Saturday. As soon as we walked into the salon my heart sank. Everything from the carpet to the furniture to the counter was dated. And I don't mean a few years. I'm talking I went back to when I was shopping for my first wedding dress in 1991. Then the consultant came and greeted us. She takes us back to the dressing room area, again hello 90's. You guys, the dresses she pulled were nothing like we talked about. The Handmaids Tale comes to mind. So we were there less than 10 minutes. She was very nice, said she would call another location very close and have them pull a few things but the color I was looking for would be hard to find. Again my heart sank further and tears formed. So we head to the other place. My girls jump into action and fire up the Google machine. White Traditions they say is 4 minutes from here. That's where we are going. Well, somehow half of us end up and the wrong place. And my 90's nightmare continues with a lady who doesn't know silver from gold and rose gold from pink rhinestone. Needless to say the tears were flowing freely. Finally I get to the doorstep of White Traditions and am greeted by Kellyn who automatically says "Oh no no no. Let's get you some water and show you what we've pulled for you. Can I hug you, you need a hug." Folks this fierce little girl my niece's age made a nightmare into a dream day. The first dress she had me try on (Butter was its name) was something this chica would've never even thought I could pull off. In the end I ended up with Moscato a beautiful Shakespearean dream that will make my fiancé fall out and get that perfect photo as I walk down the aisle. I tried on the dress (size 12) and it fit perfectly!!! The lady wanted to order and 18. I said No order the size I have on now and she still went behind my back and ordered a 16.. when the dress came in it was the wrong color and wrong size. I called and the lady was rude and would not work with me. I was willing to pick out a different dress but there is no way this one could be altered. This dress was ordered well beforehand and now I have 3 months to find something new. read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about this place! I came here with my cousin who is looking for a wedding gown and their staff was so laid back and attentive. They let our group go through the racks and my cousin pulled dresses that she wanted to try on. All in all I think she tried on over 25 dresses and the sweet girl that was helping her was patient and attentive the entire time. My cousins wedding is close to 2 years away and this is the first place she has looked. I can honestly say after this wonderful first experience that when my cousin is ready to purchase her gown she will definitely come back here! They also have the BEST selection of dresses I have ever seen! I have been dress shopping with many friends and relatives and they have the best selection across the board. I really enjoyed my experience at White Traditions. The store is beautiful! My appointment was on time, and my consultant was informative and explained the layout of the store. The store was busy with other brides on a Saturday morning, but I never felt crowded or rushed. My dressing room was off in the back, away from the bustle of the showroom, which was great. My attendant pulled some great dresses for me, and I fell in love with one of them. My only negative was that the dresses are really packed tightly together and difficult to move and see, since you do a lot of your own browing. Overall, I would highly recommend to anyone! read more

Awful experience in what is supposed to be a fun time. I left crying with my mothers and whole wedding party and no dresses. Please don't bother. They are too busy, too small and incredibly understaffed. The staff they did have had such an incredible disregard to our wants, needs and feelings it was unreal! We made an appointment and were even told that they double booked us. We were ignored and treated like complete crap. There are way too many other bridal boutiques that want your business and carry the exact same dresses. A charming salon with wonderful staff! I surprised my best friend with a visit to White Traditions on a recent day trip to St. Charles and we couldn't have had a better experience. We did not make an appointment, and had originally planned to just browse through their showroom. An attendant quickly approached us and offered us an opening later in the afternoon! After a little more browsing and a quick lunch, we returned for the appointment. The bride was able to try on quite a few dresses in our hour and a half time slot. This was the bride's first time trying on dresses, and the stylist provided stunning selections with a no pressure attitude! Their racks offer a wide range of styles, yet were not overwhelming. We had so much fun trying on all of the different offerings, and narrowed the search down to the bride's favorite designer! Ordered a dress from White Traditions. When the dress came in it was the wrong color and the wrong size. Instead of offering to fix the issue, the manager required us to prove it was the wrong dress with a picture from our phone. Had we of known this was their solution to fix their mistakes we would have taken a picture when we ordered the dress. They hung up on us with no solution to the problem. I had made an appointment and was assigned to Megan who had to ask me for my name, shouldn't she know it if I made an appointment a week in advance? She asked me about my budget, and when I told her the amount she made a face and said "well all of our dresses start at $1,500, but you can shop our sample gowns that are on sale." She offered no insight, didn't really ask any questions about my wants and needs, and was not helpful at all. It couldn't hurt her to smile either. This is not how the experience should be. If she was decent at her job, she could sell me on one of their $1,500 dresses. The funny thing is, I went to another bridal store in the vicinity and ended up getting a $1,900 dress. People will pay more when they receive exceptional customer service. The only good thing about this place was the chic atmosphere. I won't be recommending White Traditions to anyone. read more

Soooo I initially went into this store with a friend of mine who was getting married. She did not find the dress she was looking for here, but the staff was super friendly and accommodating (it was a Saturday and we didn't even have an appointment). When I went shopping for my own wedding gown, I had a particular one in mind - unfortunately WT did not carry it, but I was able to find it at a different bridal store to try and I ended up ordering it from WT just because they were so nice and down to earth, not only when I went in with my friend but also when I went looking for myself. I have noticed that a lot of other bridal stores are really pushy, bitchy, judgmental, etc. Not WT - it's super laid back, cute and I felt comfortable browsing without someone being stuck up my butt the whole time. White Traditions Bridal House is full of immature young girls who do not know how to handle business. I bought my wedding dress from White Traditions Bridal House in St. Charles, MO. Had a TON of issues with that as well. They sell Bill Levkoff Bridesmaid dresses there in the store. When my MOH and I went into the store to pick one out we were told the price of dress style #7059 was between $150-$170. When one of my bridesmaids went to order, she had to put $134 down and was told that was HALF of the price! Because of this pandemic, my bridesmaids have not been able to work. I received a voicemail stating that my bridesmaids needed to call in their measurements and that the dresses could not be ordered until they were all called in, that is also stated in their policy on the receipt. We are baffled that the price of the dress is almost $300!!! So my bridesmaids that did order have called to try to cancel the order and we will take our business elsewhere, however the store has LIED to myself and them saying that the dresses were being ordered as they were being called with measurements. They did admit that they did not have the dress in the store nor had it arrived yet, however because the measurements were sent to the designer, that we were not allowed a refund. During this time of uncertainty in our lives I wish my TWO bridesmaids could cancel their orders with full refunds. All of my bridesmaids are parents who are out of work for an undetermined amount of time. As an essential employee, I am utterly DISGUSTED that this is how people are being treated during this time in our lives. We do not appreciate being lied to, told false pricing, and lied to about policies. The dresses have not been shipped yet and we need the orders cancelled. But they will not do that for some unknown reason. They are only after the money. When I was trying on wedding dresses there, no one even helped me straighten, see the back of the dress or get the dress on, my family had to do it. They are completely incompetent and do not deserve your business. I will never recommend them. read more

They take appointments for trying on dresses, so the store isn't jam packed with tons of people fighting over dresses like some retail shops. They make it a really personal experience which was wonderful. Unlike some shops, every dress says the designer, dress style, available colors and sizes, and price. And they let you take as many pictures as you want! My consultant, Regan, was very patient and helped me find dresses in my budget. Jessica, the owner, and two other consultants, Alyssa and Carolann, also helped pick out dresses they thought I would like after Regan told them what I was envisioning. I went here to look at dresses while I was in town from NYC (my mom lives there) - I went in with a very good idea of the kind of dress I wanted, Brittany was super helpful she showed me where to look & let me pick the ones to try. I only tried on 5 or 6 and I found the one. I went with my mom and sister and when I would come out with a dress on Brittany stood to the back and let us talk among ourselves. She was not pushy at all, only offered her opinion when we asked - the store is so cute & dresses are not insanely priced at all. I am in a wedding this fall and the bride suggested we go to WT to try on a sample of the dress she wanted. We were measured by the staff for the specific bridesmaid dress, and they assured us that they knew how to select the best size. First of all, they left it to the bride to contact us that the dresses were ready; this is annoying, especially because most of us are out of town! So I picked up my dress yesterday and they CLEARLY did not consider the style of dress when ordering for me. It is one or two sizes too big!! There are 2 - 3 inches on each side of the dress that need to be taken in for it to be wearable, and that's going to be expensive to alter. I would have ordered a different size if I had done my own measurements. I expected some sort of apology from the staff, but they just carried on with having me pay for it, even though I was clearly angry. read more

HORRIBLE experience. If you are a Bride looking to be top priority and feel special while trying on dresses, I could recommend a number of Bridal Shops that will make you feel that way and White Traditions is not one of them. I arrived to my appointment and both of the mirror stands were taken by two other parties, one of which had at least 9 people taking up all of the chairs and sofas. I was told that the other groups were "almost done" throughout my entire 1.5 hour appointment and that my Mom, MOH and one of my Bridesmaids would have chairs to sit in shortly so they could comfortably watch me try on dresses. That was a big lie. The girl helping us also said that the group closest to my fitting room was "really annoying" her because they were just standing there and she wished they would leave. She continued throughout the appointment to talk negatively about the other customers in the store. Not only did I have to try on all of my dresses in one of the very back fitting rooms and use the small mirror inside, but my Mom, MOH and Bridesmaid had to stand between the Bridesmaid dress racks the entire time. My mom also had to come into the room with me to help clip me into all of the dresses I tried, because the girl helping us was nowhere to be found. Closer to the end of our appointment, the girl helping us told me that one of the other brides was in the fitting room and that I could go stand in front of the big mirrors if I wanted.... with all of the other Bride's family and friends sitting there and my Mom, MOH and Bridesmaid hovering behind them so they could look at the dress somewhere other than in the dark, cramped fitting room that I was in. To top it all off, one of your other employees took a dress that was in my pile and gave it to one of the other brides to try before I even had the chance. This is the dress that the other bride ended up buying. Not only was I completely disrespected by being put in a back room, but to not provide seats to any of my family or friends for the entire 1.5 hours we were there and to literally take a dress from my stack to give to someone else to try on before I had the chance... Never have I felt so much like a 2nd priority on what is supposed to be one of the most exciting parts of wedding planning. If you are a Bride and want to feel not only special while trying on dresses, but also respected by the staff, White Traditions Bridal is the last place you should go. read more
