We stopped in here after going out paddling for a few hours and so glad they were open ( until 8pm) ! Hubby ate here a few times and said the food was pretty good. It's not pretty good it's amazingly delicious! Tucked away with a sushi place under apartments, it doesn't look like much but inside is filled with wood and middle eastern decor. There is seating outside under maple trees and cozy eclectic is how I would describe it. Let's get to the food. Walked in and the smell of roasting meat, baking bread and spices was enticing and delicious. Menu was simple- beef, chicken or vegetarian choices either as a writ or platter! Hubby ordered the chicken shawarma wrap while I ordered the chicken shawarma platter to share with the kiddo. I have to say since moving from Vancouver I haven't quite found really good mediterranean places I could rave about. Looks like I hit the jackpot with fresh hummus I could eat by the bowlful and soft with a slight chew pita bread that is made in house. The chicken was tender and the sauce was lovely expecially over the rice. It came with salad, tahini sauce and falafels - so much food but it was so good that I kept eating it despite being full! Hubby helped out finishing and no small feat as his shawarma chicken wrap was huge! Definitely weighed in around 750g when I hoisted it out of the bag! While it was chicken shawarma as well, didn't have the sauce or rice but was filled with lots of hummus and he said the chicken was kind of crispy on the edges but still moist. He finished that wrap in short order and help finish my dinner! Okay, I will have to either make the hour drive more often or hope the owners open a 2nd location in Kelowna because the hummus and pita itself is worth it. read more

In less than two months we've been there, ate there brought family and friends. Multiple times! The weathers been great so we've eaten outside! I'm not a vegetarian per say but their vegetarian platter is sooo good. Everything on my platter was so good but between the falafels, hummus and rice are sooo good! Great service and friendly! Found this place after googling 'Best Restaurant in Penticton'. Apparently tons of people on trip advisor love this place. Boyfriend and I came here for a snack after hiking naramata falls. We shared the chicken shawarma plate. It came with salad, hummus, pita, chicken, and rice. Everything was so tasty! The menu also has pizzas, which the other restaurant patron highly recommended. We were enjoying a holiday in Pentiction, last summer, and were fortunate to happen upon this wonderful, friendly restaurant. We are planning a holiday to Pentiction again in a few weeks and the first thing we did is check to see if they are open. I see they will be open again at the start of July! Yay! SERIOUSLY, we come from the big city and this place is FAR better than​ anything we've had at home. Everything is prepared with care, is fresh and the flavors are delish! There's plenty of choice for vegans and vegetarians. To top it off, the owner is ​genuinely friendly ​and made us feel so welcome. Excellent! Wraps, especially the lamb was 10/10, pizza was very good. Owners are very nice, though can get busy so you might have to ask for things like ice in your water. Not a fancy place so dont expect white glove service but for a small place, the atmosphere is pleasant and pretty well shaded on the patio on a hot day. read more

Best falafel I ever had. Nazir the owner has a lot of character and is originally from Iraq. He has a lot of personality which makes it even more enjoyable.Portions are huge. Women should share a plate. Humus is also great. We asked the people they're what they recommended everybody said the same thing chicken shawarma. So that's what I ordered and it was excellent. Found this place by accident, and very happy I did. The food is authentic, soaring in taste will all the right spices. I was impress by the size of the plate. The place it self need to serious remodeling. A lot of miss match decorations. Lastly, they don't have a credit card machine. Again I strongly recommend this place because of the food. We were over the top pleased with this little gem. We came there 2x in a 2 day visit. The food was very tasty, fresh and plates were loaded. Service was personal and you could feel their love for their customers. He kept the fresh pita bread coming and offered us some sweet Turkish delight on the way out. Service at this place was pretty poor. Arrived an hour before closing to only be told that the place was too busy and they couldn't take our order. The place was only half full so I have no idea why they wouldn't seat our party of 4. I heard that the food is good but I couldn't tell you if it was or not. Have been here a couple of times now. Both times I definitely enjoyed the food. Over the trips, I have tried the chicken wrap, the chicken platter, one of their Mediterranean pizzas, the chicken and lamb platter and the lentil soup. I must say the lentil soup is an amazing dish and just a bowl of it with an extra pita bread would serve as a delicious meal for any time of the day. The chicken and lamb platter comes with a whole lamb shank, but you may have to go a bit late for lunch to get it as my understanding is that it takes some time to cook. The meat is falling off the bone by the time you get it though. The amount of food in their platters is amazing and you definitely won't need to order more than one dish to satisfy your appetite. They are sometimes overwhelmed by the number of customers and might sometimes forget some parts of the order though. Possibly the only little downside to a nice family run eatery. read more
