As a vegetarian, I find their falafel wraps delicious and filling. Their garlic sauce is unbelievably good! I'd definitely recommend others as it's authentic. They do have tons of options for meat eaters but I'll come back again for their falafel wraps. They do make the wraps in front of you which is great. They have tons of options to put for garnish, I like their pickled vegetables, it gives the wrap another twist. Overall, great place to grab a quick bite while you're on Lunch around the Rutland Area. read more

Right from the start it was made wrong she was jist shaking her head yes to everything i said. So when it was made wrong "No hot peppers" and boy did she load them on so i corrected her I got eyes rolled ar me. So they made it again and again it was wrong! Ordered donair salad. Simple right ? Nope. Small layer of lettuce, then she proceeded to stack each vegetable in a row from one end to the other, why not mix it up? Was driving down from Big White into Kewlona and was looking for something to eat and was tired of the usual , and came across Basha Donair & Shawarma. Looking at the menu, we didn't know what to eat as there were so many amazing choices! ‍ Owner, polite and attentive older gentleman saw us perplexed and offered his recommendations and walked us through the menu. We finally decided and ordered a Jimmy the Greek which was delicious and wifey had a Little Bite Shawama w/ fried pickels and fries! Hands down the best shawarma place in the country! And I've lived all across Canada and eaten donairs and shawarma from St. John's to Toronto to Vancouver. Number 1 service with the best staff! Disappointed big time. 2nd time there where there is no shwarma on the spit. The brought it out of a fridge, cold slapped it on the grill, sprayed some oily water on it and covers it to steam. This is far from authentic. Told to come on a Friday so I thought ok 1 last chance 1:30 in the afternoon, yes there it was in the spit, but still half raw where they still shaved it off and proceeded to again, grill water you get it. 130pm? Seriously? Service, super slow. 1 poor guy there doing cash cooking and prepping. Wasn't busy and still took almost 20 minuted I've eaten at 100 shwarama joints and this falls short. Way short. Was really hoping it would be fantastic as I like to support local and I'm a huge fan of a real shawarma, cold, out of the fridge and grilled to death? No thanks. read more

I just moved to Kelowna from Edmonton, which is home to the best Donair shops in Western Canada. I have been told by many former Edmontonians that if I was looking for a good Donair in Kelowna, not to bother as every Donair in town made them way too small and were completely sub par in flavour. Unfortunately, I am a slave to my Donair habit, and could not at least try. The only Donair shop I had not heard bad review on, was Basha, as it was new and they hadn't tried it yet. When I first entered, I was pleased to see an exceedingly clean establishment. It was well laid out and had a nice feel to it. So far so good. I ordered the largest Donair that they served. Out of pure fear about the tiny Donair issues that I'm told are prevalent in Kelowna. That was a mistake. It was a monstrous size that I didn't have a hope of finishing (I made it about 2/3 of the way through before I tapped out). It was a very good Donair that I felt was worth the money. Was it the best Donair ever? No, but I have had the opportunity to eat some pretty amazing Donairs in eastern Canada, and many terrific donairs in Edmonton, so my standard is set high. I am just happy that I have a Donair shop in Kelowna to satisfy my next hankering. read more

I tried the shawarma combo since the donair meat looked like the same log every other one uses. Took a little longer thank would expect to get my order. Fries were standard pub fries, although cold and soggy wrapped in the white parchment bag, probably better not to get them to go. Chicken in the shawarma was under seasoned and their sauces just basically tasted like garlic tzatziki and fairly bland overall. They just opened, hopefully they get more organized and get the seasoning right. read more

Watch your bills as Greek donair is 11 dollars rings in at $13.50 plus extra for cheese when it's supposed to be included jalapeño poppers says $5.70 was charged $7.50 was ripped off $5.00 on a $20.00 order due this to 10 people a day cashier said she was told to do it and till rings it in the way it is which I believe but shady business practices love the food read more

Basha Donair & Shawarma - I am Lebanese and have lived in Canada for 45+ years. Never in my life I wrote such bad a review, BUT I owe this to the Lebanese community and the Canadian people. Basha Donair & Shawarma is NOT Lebanese Food, it was so disgusting that I would have asked for my money back (if I could). Chef Kass had a good story to tell on the website, but too bad it is only a story with no real substance behind it, just marketing and propaganda. I was so excited to learn about Chef Kass story and that he is in Kelowna - but what a real disappointment. Horrible food, presentation, Not good not at all, AND NO where near Lebanese Authentic Food, Just a disgrace to Lebanese food and culture. He does not even serve Tahini sauce, his garlic sauce is tasteless, His Falafel (home made) tasted like they were spoiled/rotten (may be they were), had no spices in them nor any aromas excepts the spoiled/old/rotten aromas - Very Very disappointed, the pickles are horrible, they don't even look good, they were dull in colour. We tasted them before we asked for the sandwiches, they tasted horrible that my wife and I decided not to ask for pickles in our sandwiches. Store bought Turnip Pickles and other Pickles are WAY better than Basha's. Never go back again, he puts Lebanese food all the way down, this is not even close to Lebanese food, if he called it Fusion Lebanese cuisine, I might not be as harsh with my review, it is simply a disgrace to all Lebanese people and Lebanese cuisine. My wife was somewhat sympathetic, BUT I truly would have asked for my money back - SAD according to Trump, never go back again. My Recommendation is to call it Fusion Cuisine like "Mexican/Mediterranean-Inspired etc." BUT not Authentic Lebanese cuisine or at least don't show/say/pretend/say/promote it as Lebanese Food because IT IS NOT!! Fore sure Donair's are not Shawarma's there is a world of difference between them, they're similar in look and presentation but definitely different. read more
