I just turned 66 and am a medical cannabis patient. I already have 4 custom tattoos, but I got them back in the 1900s. I know my skin is too big for me now and tattooing is difficult on older skin, not to mention certain medications and things that older people take. I contacted some of the businesses on this app to inquire roundabout price to have a small sativa leaf tattooed on my wrist. I got no responses. It has been three weeks and I still have had no responses. So I decided to stop at Cleopatra Ink since a young man was just opening the gate as I was on my mall walk. He was very nice and accommodating regarding my age and my request. I was advised that their minimum charge is $150. Of course, back in the day, things were much cheaper but I expected they would cost more. I just needed to know how much. This was definitely affordable for me. Unfortunately, I didn't get his name, but he helped me design the leaf just the way I wanted it and then the tattoo artists began coming in. Viktoriia specializes in fine line drawing so she was my artist. She is very professional yet soft spoken. She told me her oldest client was 90 years old and she had even tattooed her grandmother so I definitely felt comfortable in her care. The music wasn't exactly to my taste, but that's to be expected in today's world lol. I tipped her well and the experience was a good one. The shop was clean and sanitary, and the front desk people were polite, well-organized, and thorough in their communication. I want to start off by saying I really liked the tattoo I walked away with (which is really what matters in the end and why I gave 2 stars) but the whole experience was a little awkward and very uncomfortable. Scheduling the consultation was fairly easy and the place is very clean but the work is seriously overpriced and customer service is very lacking. Especially if youre plus sized! I came in for a consultation at my scheduled appointment time but waited 45 minutes before they got to me. By this point, another woman ended up demanding a refund for her deposit after waiting over an hour and a half without any sort of communication from the artist/front desk about whats going on or where her artist is and one other guy was getting ready to leave before someone got to them. The person who helped me was SUPER NICE (DK I believe) but I found out she wasnt the one actually doing my tattoo, she just did the consultation and drew up the tattoo. I provided an image I found online but asked they alter it to make it look more like a tattoo. They changed nothing except bolder lines, switched the direction the image was facing and added minimal shading. I was quoted $750 + tax and tip which was ridiculously high but I was getting it to mark the anniversary of my grandmother's passing (a week after the consultation) so I was willing to pay it to get in last minute. Had to pay a minimum deposit of $100 + tax to book the appointment but left excited to get this done. Came in on tattoo day and the artist I got (Farid) seemed like he was uncomfortable tattooing me, almost as if he didn't even want to touch me. I don't know if it's because I'm a big girl or what but it was just awkward and he gave off the vibe like he didnt want to do the tattoo. I told him where I wanted it and what size I wanted but also asked for his input, as an award winning artist I'd assume he'd know what would look best. He was very "whatever you want" about it providing no input, again like he didnt care. At this point, I was already uncomfortable and starting to get annoyed so I just shut up and let him do his thing. He finished the tattoo in about an hour. The lady at the desk checked me out but literally said nothing besides giving me my total, even a smile and a thank you was too much for her. I've gotten several tattoos in the past so I know the process (shower and brush your teeth before, clean clothes that allows easy access to tattoo area, minimal perfume, deodorant) and I dont expect any sort of luxury red carpet experience by any means but when I'm paying as much as I did, I would expect the level of customer service to be a little higher. I considered coming back for my touch up (which after 4 weeks of healing I can tell is definitely needed) but the whole experience left me so uncomfortable I dont ever want to go back. I walked in and was able to get a tattoo in less than 25 minutes. I was very impressed. I worked with the designer and he took what I wanted and had in mind and created the tattoo. I got a small forearm tattoo with writing. Luis was my artist and did a great job, very light hand and didn't hurt at all. This place does high quality tattoos in the mall and expect to pay for that as well. I highly recommend. The vibe is very calm and relaxed, and professional. Very nice space and very clean. i went here to get my right rook pierced, after having a healed rook on the left with no issues done at north cove(the rook with a hoop). after about two hours of having the right side rook, it was throbbing in pain and didn't stop. i came in two days later searching to get it removed. the piercer told me this was no sign of infection and was "just swollen and throbbing". that we could remove it if i want to but there's no abnormal signs. i told her the pain i'm in isn't normal and she still stood on her opinion. i was told the right rook is a "different piercing" and "pierced in a different spot" than the other. when i got it pierced, i was told there's no way to mark it and verify if it's the correct spot. i asked for store credit, and i was told i could get half. by the end of removing it she changed her mind and said i could have full store credit back, but no refund. thank you for the store credit! but ow. read more

I came in for a really big piece i wanted on my thigh and was nervous, the consultation was awesome I felt very heard and my tattoo artist did an absolutely incredible job! I have never been happier with a tattoo! I was able to get comfortable or adjust myself as needed, my artist frequently checked to make sure I was still doing okay as this was a really long tattoo session, And it came out so good I'll never shut up about it, pictures don't do it justice as I'm a terrible photographer read more

Do not get a piercing here. There's a specific piercer I go to by the name dk and she has pierced my nose wrong twice. First one was my nose piercing she pierced it an an angle then later told me she did it wrong. Then when I got my septum with her it was pierced way to low and at the front of my nose. DO NOT GO HERE Beware of this place. They will scam you out by telling you one price and after your tattoo is done will charge another price. I was quoted 100 dollars and after my tattoo they told me I would have to pay an additional 300 dollars for a tattoo that is less than 3 inches. I even asked again if it was just 100 dollars and he said yes. My girlfriend was even there and was confused about the addition cost after my tattoo. I had other tattoo artists even look at it and they said that I got scammed and it was way overpriced. If you still chose to go anyways, please make sure you get your whole quote on paper do not trust what they say because they will charge another price. There are plenty of other places where you can get the same quality or better with more trustworthy people and price. read more
