I got delicious little chocolate praline Santas for us to all share. We were too late to get a Kringle since most were sold out and my husband's family is picky. They offer fresh vietnamese hot and cool deli items such as summer rolls, fried egg rolls, coconut milk desserts like che', and sesame balls just to name a few. The summer rolls have shrunk in size last I recall but you get 3 pcs with peanut sauce (shrimp filled) for $3.50 - the non shrimp ones are $3. The snacks dept are priced reasonably. some chips/candies are under $2. The japan items are a little pricier. Staff here are friendly except for the cashier she has a little attitude when it comes to reprinting receipts. I bought 2 summer rolls - 4 chips 2 bags gummy candy and 1 box tea for a total of $24. In Indonesia years later I lost my taste buds to an extremely red hot sauce which looked like ketchup. From then on, I've dared to try the most extreme chiles in all their forms, from raw to pureed. Then I had Screamin' Torture. The title befits the product. It is produced exclusively for Tijuana Flats restaurant and one must sign a release form upon purchase. After my experience I can see why. It doesn't say Ghost Chilies on the ingredient list, merely Cayenne Peppers with oleoresin cayenne as another addition. But I really wonder if the snuck some of the hottest pepper in the world into that bottle. I poured a good sized dollop onto my taco and took a bite. About five minutes later I was tearing up and my nose was running freely. Ten minutes later I was hallucinating. There's a video on YouTube of a guy eating a raw Ghost Pepper. He was on the ground in 20...I didn't recover for about 45 minutes and several scoops of ice cream later. Now I use a tiny smidge on my food. And yes, the next morning was painful too.
