All I wanted was a price quote, is it a one day procedure, and is there a particular day for the procedure. Then I was going to give my name and talk when. I hardly got the question of the price out of mouth before she said oh we are booked. I said how long, she said months, stuttered at least till June. I call BS. Now my pets have been to Dr. Hebert before but it has been MANY years. In fact, she saved my Grady's life. I don't know who answered the phone but I feel they could have been a little more patient in answering my questions than tell me they are booked. I know Dr Hebert would have remembered me had I just had the chance to give my name instead of being rudely put off. If you need a neutering or spaying done now, don't call this office.

This was an extremely painful decision, and I chose to surrender him to this foundation rather than sell him because I believed they would have the experience and compassion to ensure he had the best possible future. Unfortunately, after surrendering him, I was met with judgment rather than empathy. Given the organization's mission, I expected understanding and kindness during an already devastating situation. Instead, the experience left me feeling shamed at a moment when support would have mattered most.

To make matters worse, I later saw a post on their social media claiming that the dog was still available because all potential adopters "backed out at the last minute." This is misleading, since I was denied without fair consideration. It felt dishonest and unfair. It's frustrating to feel judged based on where I live rather than the care and commitment I can offer. Every dog deserves a good home, and every responsible applicant deserves to be evaluated honestly and fairly. Save your time and go somewhere else.

I made it clear that I just wanted one service. But I had to pay approximately $171 for services I did not want, what I wanted should have only cost me $66.64+tax (per their invoice). I understand why they conducted the services they did, but...they did not listen to me. I may even use them again, but I will be prepared to ether insist on what I want (not what they want) or just be prepared to pay for services I do not want or go somewhere else." Not every business has the moral character to contact a client concerning a review and discuss. Dr. Sheets did just that. I'm grateful for that. I did assume that the services I did not want were being conducted by the offices policies, rules, etc. I now understand that the services they conducted were regulated and required by the Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners. The whole staff is very kind, they are easy to get ahold of, they have answered any random questions I've had and have an excellent reminder system for shots that are needed. I even like their vet records more haha. The price is very fair for the experience. The shots themselves are priced similarly to other veterinary clinics. Having been here several times now, I've never seen another animal booked as the same time as me. Which has created a very positive experience and my dog has never been stressed visiting here (like they were at another clinic).

Experience: I got the shots I came here for. And ended up paying for what I was quoted on the phone even though there were hiccups. My dog was stressed, however, unlike at our typical vet. They do see multiple dogs at a time. This caused me to be a bit stressed as well. The whole process to get 4 shots (even though I only came for 3) with an "exam" (you have to pay for this to get shots, but I'm not sure what exam took place) took 1 hr. The vet was very kind. Initially they took my dog back, where I was not allowed to go, to give my dog an exam and shots. He came back very soon after and they said they would give the shots in the waiting room for my comfort. (I didn't even finish typing my text out that this was happening before they came back). I don't know why I couldn't go back, but this was a very different experience from any vet visit I've had up to this point. I appreciated that the vet got on the floor to administer the shots and was very kind. This meant a lot!!! Nothing about the well being of my dog or their joints was discussed (like has been typical for me in past visits to different vets). My dog did get 4 shots, one I didn't ask for, and they kindly comped me for this. However, they comped me for a shot that my dog DID need as part of annual shots and not the one they DID NOT need. I appreciate the kindness very much so, but and hesitant about the oversight of the 4th shot - to be fully transparent. I received a quote and they had the correct shots when I called to make the appointment. It was not as great of an experience as our normal vet, we did get a free shot (but it's also not needed), I saved $50, but also am not sure that an examination was really done. If you want or need to save money this does the trick!!! But I do have a couple of personal hesitancies.

They have rooms that are specific to cats and dogs but treats for both in all rooms. In the cat room they have calming spray that you can spritz around their carriers to help relax them. Both the techs and the vets were incredibly kind and efficient. They worked to sooth the cats and distract them while the shots were being given. I will return here for future visits. Side note: they have a sign in the lobby about being kind to employees and the fact that they have to have a sign like that is sad. If you aren't thrilled with them, act like a grown up and go somewhere else. It's not ok to abuse the employees who showed up to take care of animals.

When I took two of the kitties for their checkups, the vet talked me out of an expensive test deemed unnecessary.
