We have a Golden Retriever & Yorkshire Terrier and they always take the time to listen to how we'd like them to look and they take great care in what they do! They even remember our pets names! I took my dog to Pettitude. I went to pick him up and they did a great job but the woman who groomed him gave me some "attitude" from Pettitude. I can't be the only person whose dogs doesn't like his nails trimmed. I took him back again but before I did I sent them an email asking if they were willing to do him again. They never responded. I called to get an appointment and mentioned my email and the girl said she remembered it. After Covid lock down I called to get an appointment and because of the strict mandates they couldn't get him in for another 6-8weeks and I said that I will take the appointment but since he needed grooming so bad if another place can get him in I would cancel. The owner replied, "ouch!" As if she was offended. I took him back one more time and my vet gave me a prescription to give him before he went to calm him down. Didn't make a difference he still was very difficult. I gave them every opportunity to decline my appointment but they didn't. I go to pick him up and I caught a lot of attitude again and was told what they did and I could tell they were pissed off. Once again I asked if they'd be willing to take him again and the owner said hesitantly, she would take him but she could only do the best she could. I had no expectations of a show dog grooming. I was always grateful and they charged me extra, $100. I had no problem with that and I made sure to tip them well. I understand their frustrations but I just wish they had been up front about turning me away instead of putting themselves and my dog through the whole frustrating situation. I have been hesitant to leave a review but I feel like if they treated me so rudely they'd do it to someone else. The whole grooming situation is very stressful for all the above. I get a lot of anxiety until I pick him up. I won't use them again. I will say they do a great job but the attitude I got was not going to fly with me again. It's a shame because it's convenient from where I work. My vet had to sedate him to trim his nails last time. So I know he's a handful. But I'd rather have my vet sedate him than him being in someone's hands who could possibly mistreat him. I'm not the only person whose dog responds this way for whatever reason. I git him from. Family who had to get rid of him because of their 4 kids. Something must have happened before I got him. If I knew how to groom a dog I'd do it myself. I don't, so finding a place he feels comfortable and trusts the groomer has been a challenge. Finding the right fit was not anything they were interested in doing. read more

I tried a couple groomers around town when I first moved to Lexington. I have 3 dogs that need grooming. On more than one occasion one or the other of them came home bleeding. Since finding Petitude my search has ended. The owners/groomers are warm and welcoming to pets and pet parents alike. They do a wonderful job and remember the dogs various lengths/cuts that vary between summer and winter, as well as special requirements for my cocker who is allergic to EVERYTHING. They know all three of my pets by name when I call for appointments. Their prices are reasonable and they treat each dog as if they were their own pets. This is the best place I've found since moving back here after a stint of nearly ten years out of state. The people there seem to care about and even enjoy my dog, and they are careful to get specific instructions about how I like her to be groomed, taking notes and keeping a record of what I like. The ladies at Pettitude are absolutely the best. Someone recommended them to me after they first opened. My oldest dog was extremely anxious at the groomers due to his first groomer hurting him when he was a puppy, and was extremely scared of clippers. Fortunately at Pettitude they hand scissor. They were extremely thorough with him, and after I picked him up the first time I couldn't believe it was him! We have been coming here ever since. My dog even fell asleep on the grooming table last time I took him which is pretty amazing considering how anxious he used to be. Pettitude is the only place I would take my dogs. read more

Absolutely fantastic. Brought my cat here to be shaved after no one else would do it without costly and dangerous sedation. For $85 she was bathed and shaved down to a lion cut and it looks great. All her mats and dandruff are gone. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. read more

I have been bringing our puppy here for a few months now and I just love them! They are super friendly and moving on our puppy. They take really good care of her and they do a fantastic job on our labardoodle! If they have to cut her short they always call me to make sure I'm okay with it before they cut and I really appreciate that! They are always busy so make sure you call in advance when you need an appointment but I have called and got in the same day. They are closed Sunday's and Monday's! read more
