First of all I called and was on hold for over 30 minutes and no one answered. I called back and went through the same thing again. I called a third time and finally got through to someone. That individual was clueless as to what was going on with my scheduled procedure. She told me I was scheduled for a different procedure than the one that was ordered. When I explained I was supposed to get a different procedure she informed me I was incorrect. I called the Cleveland Clinic to verify what had been ordered and I was correct North Shore had me scheduled for the wrong test. I called them back and phone rang for 25 minutes straight and no one answered. I waited 45 minutes called back and had the same result. I then called the Cleveland Clinic back and they put me on hold and tried to contact North Shore directly. They came back on and told me the offices were closed, that was at 3:23 PM and North Shore states on their website they are open until 4:00 PM on Fridays. North Shore claims they have won awards and are highly acclaimed, based on my dealings with them it must be for gross incompetence and unprofessionalism. Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this 'medical circus' as you can. From what I can see they couldn't care less about their patients only the patients insurance and their bottom line.

Secondly, they don't even give you new patient paperwork or anything. Upon appearance I look completely healthy but I have an extensive medical background that they didn't even ask about. I gave them my medications and that's it. Thirdly, I was in THREE weeks ago and still have no results from the tests they did. They threw me on an antibiotic saying yea this will probably do it but we don't know. So I could be walking around with an infection and just not know it! I will NEVER go here again. Complete scam and malpractice. This place should be sued for their actions.

I am a veteran who was visiting Akron OH from Atlanta GA for a family reunion. while we were…read moredriving up, i think i must've slept in the wrong position or something because my neck was KILLING me! i kept taking ibuprophen, but it got worse as the night went on. about 1:30 in the morning, i told my dad i needed to go to the doctor because it was throbbing and i couldn't sleep. so both my parents, my grandfather and i drove around to each VA clinic in the area we could find. we could not find a nearby emergency VA hospital (that was open) to save our lives!! we ended up calling the VA hospital in Atlanta. they transferred us to this one in Cleveland, which was about a good 40 min drive from where we were. by then the pain was so unbearable that i was in tears and curled up into a little ball. when we got there, we still couldn't find it because the address was kinda quirky. i was just so extremely agitated. when we finally go there, we went straight to the emergency room. i didn't even have to wait long before they put me in an exam room. everyone was really nice and the doctor (a gorgeous tall blonde female) told me i was having severe muscle spasms. they gave me a shot and a perscription that they filled before i left the exam room. great hospital, but awful directions.

After accidentally missing an appointment, I reached out to reschedule and was told I could not because I supposedly had a past-due balance of $105. I knew this was incorrect because I had already paid $110 through the patient portal. Instead of investigating before denying care, I was simply told I couldn't be rescheduled until I paid the balance. After I provided proof of payment, the office admitted they had found my payment--it had been in a section of their system that only the office manager could access. While I appreciate the apology, this issue should have been resolved before I was denied care. The most concerning part of this experience is that these were mental health services. Patients seeking mental health care are often already in a vulnerable position. Being turned away because of an internal billing error created unnecessary stress and delayed access to care. Administrative mistakes happen, but patients should not bear the consequences of those mistakes. I hope this office improves its billing processes and communication so others don't have to fight to receive the care they need. I continue to see my therapist and nurse practitioner, Devon and Jennifer, who are amazing. My experience with the office staff is extremely poor.
