I visited Beachwood Family Health & Surgery Center (Cleveland Clinic) on Saturday. Yes, some doctors have Saturday appointments at this location. I frequent the location for my bloodwork, quick Urgent Care visits, and primary care visit. This time, I was very impressed with my experience (not always the case). From the moment I arrived, the facility's welcoming atmosphere and efficient operations stood out. The parking lot offers various options including self-park, parking garage, and valet. Typically, this place doesn't get busy, so it's easy to park. The lobby has check-in kiosks and helpful greeters to navigate you. They're always eager to help if you address them. The lobby also has a lot of greenery which really adds to your experience even if you're sick. The campus is pretty small and easy to navigate. There's helpful signage to indicate parts of the building. It's a much better navigation experience than any other Cleveland Clinic experience. Think of it as a suburban campus that's easily located on Cedar Rd. The center offers a wide range of services, including primary care, specialty services, and an Express Care Clinic for urgent needs. The convenience of having on-site amenities like radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy services, and bloodwork is unmatched. With a positive review this time, I'll say that I would highly not recommend visiting their OBGYN department here. I had a very negative experience which made me switch campuses to better care. Overall, my visit to the Beachwood Family Health & Surgery Center was a positive experience. The combination of comprehensive services, dedicated staff, and a patient-focused approach makes it a standout healthcare facility in the area.

The inpatient and outpatient programs have been quite a roller coaster ride for me. But better than…read moreanything, it's probably been life-saving. The inpatient feels a little prison-ey when you're restricted to unit. This is weird because at other facilities I've been in, nobody leaves until discharged. But when everyone else gets to go outside and down for meals, to the gym, and to the library, and you can't, it feels punitive. I was involuntary because of a 3-day letter, yet I was well behaved. This being said, the therapists inpatient are more helpful than other places I've been. You really get an instructive atmosphere, and participation is optional but highly encouraged. I like that everyone is assigned one of the therapists for their stay, too. You get someone checking in on you daily. The outpatient stuff though, is stellar. Michelle and Brian (PHP therapists) are a credit to the social work profession. I feel seen and heard by them, and they do so much more than read some papers at you. They engage patients, and teach this stuff in a way that's accessible and understandable for all. Plus, it's easy to see when someone is genuine and that they love their job. These 2 people have made all the negative things so worth it. Michelle and Brian (Allie is great too, but I didn't get to know her very well) are life savers. Oh, also, this whole place is super queer friendly. I rarely had to give my preferred name (only with a new to me therapist like 3 times in 2 inpatient and 3 outpatient) and they honor preferred pronouns too! Additionally, if you're within 25 miles of the facility, they will provide transportation for outpatient programs. And they feed you for lunch in the PHP. There's also a crap ton of fidget toys in the group rooms, and you can feel free to bring your own, and color and stuff in group. Like, they get that these things help neuro spicy people to actually pay attention!

The surgeon cut through my uterus and also my small intestine. For this reason, I had a bigger cut on my body, stayed at the hospital for several days and the most important thing is the torment physically and mentally! The whole family suffered this traumatic experience. Instead of getting any compensation, Cleveland Clinic asked me to pay for their mistake in injuring me. They asked me to pay for the surgery fee to cut my perfectly healthy organ and the medical care expense due to this malpractice. They consider it as "good practice" because they fixed it after it was cut by accident! In this case, should they just cut as many healthy organs as possible to maximize their profitability? I complained to the Ombudsman Office, all I got is, to do whatever I need to do, if I want to sue them go ahead! That is the decision from the management team. I also sent an email to the president of S. P. CCF Margaret, she never respond to me. Obviously, She is too good to talk to me I guess.

I expect to wait a long time for routine services but I understand that's part of the process. But the wait time here is ridiculous. Since I can practically walk to this location, I thought I'd pop in on a Sunday morning to get meds for a sinus infection. I wasn't surprised to see a full waiting room but I was surprised to see that there was one person working - handling treatment and billing. Talk about an efficiency FAIL! I spent 2 hours waiting to be seen. I should have listened to my gut and left after a half hour but I figured that I wouldn't be waiting much more than an hour. In an urgent care type place, I can deal with an hour wait. Once I was finally seen, the nurse practitioner diagnosed me before even looking at me. While she was handling my paperwork, she asked me to describe my symptoms and immediately told me what she thought was wrong and what I should do. Which was basically nothing. She said that I'd need to be sick for at least 7 days before she'd consider giving me antibiotics. When I protested (because I know my body and only go to the doc when I'm dying) she wrote me out a prescription but told me to hold on to it for a week. Um. Ok, lady. I don't like to tell anyone how to do their job, but I felt like it was inappropriate for this woman to basically brush me off after waiting for 2 hours. This was just an overall awful, awkward experience at this not so Fast Clinic. It's an embarrassment for this facility to be associated with UH. I would never go back and I would encourage you to go elsewhere. I'll stick to a real urgent care center the next time I'm sick on a weekend, I guess.
