We also had soft pretzels at Gold Horn Brewery. Roger, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable about beer and the brewing process. He was friendly and welcomed any and all questions. Our tour was full with 14 people and everyone lived in the Cleveland area. The tour van was very comfortable and we arrived at all of our destinations quickly. Our tour lasted approximately 3 1/2 hours. It was interesting talking with people and discussing the different beer options. For those interested in more than tasting, there was an in depth talk regarding the brewing process. We were required to wear closed toed shoes and we visited two of the brewery's brewing areas. I was a little disappointed at our stop at Brick and Barrel. It appeared that they were not expecting us and we could only find outdoor seating. It was chilly. Fortunately we were not there too long. We ended the tour where we started at the Double Tree downtown. We had good beer and good conversation. It was a nice evening.

I knew I'd…read moreenjoy it, simply based on the company and the fact we'd be trying all kinds of different beers, but I underestimated just how educationally stimulating the experience would also be. Our Beer Guide was Christian, and he couldn't have been better! At each stop, we took a tour of their facility and learned about different phases of the beer brewing process. I had very little knowledge about the process going in, but by the end of it, I had a whole new appreciation for one of my favorite beverages. We stopped at Market Garden Brewery, Goldhorn Brewery, Collision Bend, and Brick & Barrel, and each stop educated us a little bit about the selected beers they offered, what they pair well with, etc. All told, we tried 13 different beers, and had some food pairings specifically at Collision Bend. In the end, it was well worth the money, the day was enjoyed by everyone involved, and I can't stress just how great Christian was at making the experience a memorable one. I can't wait to try another one of their tours in the near future! FWIW: if you enjoy IPAs, the Dead Man's Curve IPA from Goldhorn Brewery is fantastic!

The driver was very conscious and considerate of our music preferences, making the route scenic/stopping for pictures, and having hair clips in the golf cart for us girls with long hair! The driver was knowledgeable in the area and answered all of our questions as well! We were introduced to some very cool, unique, and local breweries! We were given the vip treatment everywhere we went. We had a waiter/waitress immediately upon arrival of each place, and got free drinks and half off food at the stops! This is definitely worth the time to do if you're looking to try a little bit of everything!

There was an older male who was our tour guide. Now, I've been on several other city tours before, both in Cleveland and other cities, so I've seen a wide range. This tour wasn't my favorite, and I wouldn't recommend it. Our tour guide was pretty arrogant. Instead of trying to impress us with the history of our city, he tried to prove he was superior by all the things he's done. Okay? Like idc, pal ! He wasn't open to any questions, requests, or feedback of any kind. It was his tour and he did things his way, and that was THAT! No engagement whatsoever. The "facts" were really just one generic sentence written from a page. (Other tour companies provide stories about what we're seeing, you know, like history!) At the end of our tour though, there was a man who played Tom Johnson who was PHENOMENAL though. He should be the one giving all the tours !!!!

You also get a drink coupon for the bar at the Arcade to use after the tour or at another date. What a great touch! For a little over 30 bucks, you get a 90 minute tour, which I think is probably pretty close to the national average for a walking tour, especially considering it comes with some swag. We had a special guest, Mr. Schofield, who acted in character and told us a bit of history about one of the stops, which was a clever touch. The only suggestion I have is to have a warming stop or two in the middle of the tour. (We did have one, but that was close to the end of the tour.) I love learning the history, but honestly by the last stop I was kind of checked out because it was so cold. I would love to come back in the summer. Patty told us the summer tours are free! They also have a passport program where you collect stamps for each tour you take and can earn prizes and stuff. What a great concept!

Our tour ran from 3-6pm though there were some pockets of downtime along the way.

The guide/owner took about 30 minutes giving an intro/lessons which made the time we were with him be 90 minutes versus the 60 I was planning on. The tour part (60 minutes) was more of just a ride, but I enjoyed it. We went all the way down to the Browns Stadium / Rock Hall and passed some parks and the Medical Mart construction by the Marriott. I just like riding Segways around so it was fun for me, but there was no narration which I missed having experienced it on all my other Segway tours I've taken. As a local I was hoping to learn about Cleveland more. (Perhaps he talks more on his 2 hour walking tours). He is a nice older gentlemen in business since 2007; from the few random facts he told us I'm sure he has much more to say. Regarding the booking process I recommend an online system or phone answering service. I had to change my booking date and had trouble getting him on the phone (understandable since he is the only one out on tours). While it all worked out in the end, I was worried that I wouldn't reach him on the phone before the 72 hours of his cancellation policy arrived. As for the tour price itself I think he is a bit pricy. I love Segway tours and have done them in various cities across America and comparatively his rates are high for the length of the tour especially since there is no narration. In most all other cases I have paid just $10 more for an entire extra hour of a tour (his rates are $55 for an hour and $60 on Saturdays). All in all I had fun and it's great that Cleveland has this on offer. I'd go again just for the fun of riding. In addition to the walking tours he offers sales and service. His office is located on the 3rd level of Tower City in the Sustainable Cleveland office across from the Hard Rock next to the Ritz. He probably won't be there when you get in as he'll be on a tour but just wait and he'll come around - he arrived on time for my tour.

We asked the owner if we could change the date prior to purchasing the groupon and he said it was no problem. We STILL have not been able to get a hold of him and this occurred back in the summer. We payed for the tickets and he refuses to return our call for us to reschedule. I would NEVER recommend anyone purchasing tickets to do this tour. Although it could have been a really awesome opportunity, you will likely be scammed out of your money and time (according to other reviews). Absolutely not worth the risk as we were out nearly $60!

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and seemed very invested in the history of the castle. Oh! My! The castle is rich in history. My guess is you could take three different tours and learn something new from each one. We were only allowed to take photos of the first floor. The other floors had Air BnB rooms. Everything from the paranormal phenomena to the tunnels from the carriage house to Lake Erie were fascinating.

The Victorian mansion is ornate and makes you feel the weight of its history. The ornate stonework, hidden passageways, and eerie ambiance all add to its mysterious charm. It's definitely picture-worthy whether you're walking by or walking in. The event organizers were friendly. I was at the castle for pop art show held by Zack Webb. It was so fun to see the juxtaposition of history/antique and bright pop art. There was no guided tour, just a hang out in the main area of the house, and basement lounge (both very cool). If you're into history, architecture, or the paranormal, Franklin Castle is a must-see. Although I didn't see or feel any ghosts. It's equal parts creepy and captivating. Whether you're a Clevelander or a visitor, go see it!

As we walked Mity gave us some of the interesting history of Little Italy. We had such a wonderful time, Mity was fun, engaging and full of information. Many of which we were unfamiliar with even though we live here!! Scotch eggs, pierogis, barrio tacos, corn dip, margs, ice cream, pizza, and sausage sandwich were to die for!! Michelle was our guide and was very knowledge on the area and each place/food item!! She made the tour very comfortable and fun:)) Would honestly do it again and recommend for a good day of eats! Be sure to walk through west side market after for some goodies!!
