Had my first appointment with Cleveland Dental today. Amanda did an exceptional job cleaning my teeth, and was happy to address any concerns I had. Then Dr. Ernie completed a thorough yet gentle exam while explaining what I was seeing on my x-rays. Everyone I encountered from the moment I walked into the lobby was extraordinarily kind and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Oyler and his top-notch crew for your dental health needs. read more

Please ignore the negative reviews here on Yelp. I have never had a bad experience at Cleveland Dental. If anything I would say that over the years I have had an exceptional experience every time. To address other reviews I saw: there is a new office manager. She has been nothing but kind to me and others I have seen her interact with while I've been in the waiting room. I also have not had any billing issues at this office. I wanted to take the time to write this review, because the staff here has treated me like family. I love the cozy environment here, and I think that is so important when going to something so nerve wracking like a dentist appointment. The facility seems as though it has been getting a bit of an update inside. It's very clean and sanitary. Dr. Ernie is professional and seems well educated in what he does. I have had many bad experiences with dentists in the Chattanooga area. I make an extra effort to go to Cleveland just to go to this office. I hope you give them a shot after reading my review, because I would love to see them sticking around for many years to come. read more

I was sent a bill shortly after my appointment for my cleaning for $100. I quickly glanced at the charge and thought "Oh my insurance hasn't cleared" and put it away. So I received another one, so I called to find out why. Only to be told that it was because my adult daughter had canceled her appointment last minute in December. Now the funny thing is I went to the dentist a couple of days after her canceled appointment and was told by the hygienist that they couldn't see me because she lives with me and she has Covid. So I called and asked her if that's what she told them when I knew she was sick vomiting and with a migraine. We all discussed that, that is not what she said and that maybe someone misunderstood what was said. This discussion took place in the office by the receptionist desk with me, the receptionist, and the hygienist. It was cleared up or so I thought and I had my appointment. No one told me I owed anything at the end of the appointment and I left. Now I am being told that if I had called months ago about this, the charge could have been removed and that since this is what was recorded in the chart that it cannot be changed and since she called the day of her appointment I have to pay $100. Covid proticalls do not apply because she said she had covid( which she didn't say)and even though they wouldn't have seen her if she was sick or had Covid she waited til the day of her appointment to call.. Not only that but she is an adult, why wasn't the bill sent to her, if it had been this would have been taken care of a long time ago and I wouldn't have thought it was my insurance not paying. What this tells me about their office is that they are more interested in Money and calling people dishonest, than anything else. You can take my money but I don't need your service. My suggestion is, if you choose to go here, that you record your coversations in case you are charged for what you say or didn't say. read more

I've been going here for a few years now. Everything has been fine up until now. I showed up at 10:57am for an 11am appointment. There was a sign on the door saying that beginning today, masks are required by the American Dental Association (ADA ) to be worn in the waiting room. I wish I would have known that before I showed up. For the first time, I had no acknowledgement that I was even there after I had entered. So, I physically signed in at 10:58am. Because there was an elderly gentleman there wearing a mask, I put on their office-supplied mask, though I personally believe mask-wearing is not necessary and even harmful for multiple reasons. Over the next 15 minutes, 3 other people entered, were greeted, and were serviced before the gentleman or I were. They didn't have to physically sign in. I started to realize that I was having difficulty breathing with the mask. As I finally decided to take off the mask and leave, still no one acknowledged me. I called them at 11:25 and told them the situation. The office lady hung up on me. That is the most unprofessional thing I have experienced here in Cleveland, TN. I won't be going back. read more

I feel well cared for at Cleveland Dental. All of the workers are extremely friendly and give personal care to their patients.

Very friendly staff and nice office! The only thing I wasn't too happy about was the fact that I didn't get a long enough teeth cleaning!

Christy is the rudest, most unprofessional office personal I have had to deal with in a long time. I called twice about my bill and she hung up on me twice! If I was screaming or cursing at her I could see her point (that didn't happen), but I called because I was sent a bill that said 30 days $50.40, 90 days $50., total due $100.40 and I would be sent to a bill collector if I didn't pay by the due date. I told Christy this was the first bill I had received and I would be there and pay the $50.40 but I wasn't going to pay them $50. in interest when it was the first bill I got. She rudely told me she was sending me in to the bill collector and hung up. I called back and told the woman who answered that Christy hung up and me and I that I wasn't done talking to her about the bill. Long story short, she said the same thing and hung up on me AGAIN! I and my family have gone to Dr. Ernie for a long, long time and paid extra as Delta Dental considered him an upgraded dentist and wouldn't pay the entire bill. I paid the bill online but we will not be back. Dr. Ernie is a great dentist, but he should fire that unprofessional witch if he wants to stop bleeding customers. read more

I have been a patient of this office for almost 10 years, even after moving out of town I have stayed a patient with this practice for this long because of the wonderful dental hygienist and dentists. However, the office manager has caused me to leave this practice. I manage a medical office myself and have never dealt with someone like her. The office rescheduled my appointment as a result of limited availability with my preferred dental hygienist. As an office manager myself, I understand often having to make adjustments to schedules so I had no problem with that. I missed my rescheduled appointment which I take full responsibility for, but I received a letter in the mail for a $50.00 charge. I called to explain why I had missed my appointment and to see if anything could be done about it since this is not a reoccurring behavior for me, not to mention my long standing as a patient. The office manager Jenni, said there was nothing she could do. She stated because of my career I should know better, that it was not her problem I had not read the policy I signed (10 years ago), that it was a prime appointment spot (which I did not choose since it was rescheduled for me), and lastly that I was lucky they didn't charge me their full rate $150.00. She was extremely rude, barely let me get a word in, and extremely unprofessional. I will greatly miss all of the staff at Cleveland Dental. read more
