Hello, I just had two service gentlemen (Shane and I am embarrassed to say I did not hear the other guys name) come to our house because a neighbor jostled some wires and messed up the power to our home. They showed up writhing ten minutes of me calling! I hope their supervisor sees this review, these guys were so respectful thoughtful and kind. Truly everything and more you could ask for as an employer. Honestly I was scared to call, but now I can truly say I a hundred percent trust Cleveland utilities and those two employees deserve a MASSIVE raise. :) Thank you to Shane and the gentleman that was with him! read more

Keep the lights on reasonably well, & it's usually not their fault when prices go up. Looking forwards to their fiberoptic service.

Well, I been here for 15 years and I have to say had good service from them for the most part. Now, that I'm leaving I am sure I will miss coming here and paying my bill. I remember calling them up in 2011 and telling them why my neighborhood had no electricity. I told them that about half mile down the road there were some tree limbs were down on some power lines and that was the reason for us having no electricity. I told them where it was and they got right on it and had it fixed within one hour. There were some other times that I needed them and they always helped then too. read more

The worst power company. It's rare you can go a week without losing power with Cleveland Utilities. Sometimes it's out for hours and they never have any estimate on the fix. And many times they disconnect their support number you're supposed to call to report an outage when they have an outage. The website has link for an outage map but unfortunately that doesn't work either. If it wasn't for having a monopoly on the power distribution, there's no way this company would stay in business. One time I did finally reach someone on the phone after my power had been out a couple hours and I politely asked if they had an estimate on the repairs and the support person got really mad at me and sounded annoyed I would ask a question like that. I stayed calm and polite and just mentioned that I needed to know if it would be hours or days so I could make plans on what to do with all my food that needed to stay refrigerated. And I mentioned that the website clearly says to call this number for power outage questions, so that's what I'm doing. Unfortunately she wasn't any help and didn't have any updates. This has been my ongoing experience with this horrible company. I live in the Cleveland city limits, so it's not like I'm out in the middle of nowhere. They should do better. read more

Customer blaming is their go to! Question your bill and they blame you for it being high. They offer minimal short term solutions and are clueless when you ask about long term solutions. We pay the same rates as the most expensive place in Florida! That does not make sense! Customer beware!!! read more

Terrible service. I haven't missed a payment and they tell me I do and when I pay the extra amount then the next bill is even higher with a previous amount showed even after I paid it twice. Are they stealing money? I know it happened before. I paid last months bill and plus $270 extra and just got a $513 bill with a previous amount shown. The money has to be going somewhere. If I don't get answers I'll have an attorney look into things because I live in a small 2 bedroom duplex. read more

Cleveland Utilities...wow, where to begin. I have had nearly 4 thousand dollars stolen from me by them in the last 10 year. I am charged every month for sewer, I have a septic system. $85 dollars this month alone, oh and they steal about $15 dollars a month thru bogus late fees. I am disabled and on a very limited income. My bill date is the 28th, my check comes the 3rd. I have talked to them many times about these issues, I have been told "We can't change your due date because of where you live." I have been told you have to be extorted every month because "We voted on it." I have even gone so far as to ask them to apply what they have stolen to permits and connecting me to the sewer system, they have refused. It is currently almost $2000.00 for the permit to connect alone. Regarding the people who work there , not in the thieving department. They are friendly and power is almost never out. read more

This utility company doesn't care what so ever about the consumer!! We pay outrageous prices for a service that is guaranteed to flicker or go out at least once a week or more!! And then no reimbursement for the troubles.. oh and don't ask for help bc you have 10 days from the billing due date to pay your bill or else you're shut off no payment plans or anything. Also get ready because a transformer will go out on you at least once or twice a month so you guessed it stuck without power yet again. Great Job Cleveland Utilities read more
