ClienTax may have a fancy website, but the owner, Sarmad, is disorganized and very rude. My husband and I used his services starting back in 2018. To be fair, he was professional initially and would respond to our questions more promptly. However all of the sudden he started being very short and extremely rude if we asked a question about something relating to our taxes especially when we entrusted him with our personal taxes as well as and business' payroll and taxes. Sarmad messed up the Business' taxes one year so badly we are still getting letters from the IRS, and to date we've had to pay a lot of money to the IRS. Just a week ago my husband mailed the IRS a check because he didn't file the taxes correctly. We've moved to a different CPA. I DO NOT recommend him at all. He is rude, arrogant and he does NOT want to be questioned even when you have every right to. He doesn't do well when held accountable. He is just very unreliable! read more

We used this office to process our 2022 tax returns without any problem, but when trying to use them again for our 2023 tax returns has been a total disaster and met with utter incompetence and lies. We file as married but separate returns. I had my information uploaded and ready to process by March 15th but they barely got my return filed by April 15th. My wife's return has STILL not been filed, and when we call to get a status, we get told they're "working on it", and will call us back - and they NEVER call back - NEVER. They're liars and apparently incapable of processing returns on a timely basis. We've gotten to the point where by the end of this week, we will be filing a complaint with the Virginia Accountancy Board enforcement branch and the Internal Revenue Service and having our now delayed and late return taken to a responsible and competent accountant instead of relying on these incompetent liars anymore. Enough is enough - DO NOT USE THIS OFFICE, THIS SERVICE OR THESE ACCOUNTANTS....total incompetence and lies!!! read more

When I first started working with Clientax everything went great and I was really impressed by Sarmad's knowledge. The issue started when noticed a discrepancy with my personal tax filings which I had to point out to have corrected. Ok, I said fine, mistakes happen. Then I had my business taxes amended in June end, I was told to sign some documents which I emailed back so that the physical papers could be mailed. It's August 20th, I still haven't received a check so I emailed Sarmad to provide a status on my amendment and was told by Sarmad that he dropped the ball and hadn't mailed my tax documents! I'm furious!, I mean how can someone be so careless. No follow up nothing, just here seating duck. Had I not followed up with him I would have never discovered the documents weren't sent!!!
