My car panel and windshield wipers would spontaneously come on lighting up the display panel and the wipers would go off and on intermittently. I'm new to the area and called local shops and I was frequently told that they don't handle electrical problems and to go to the dealer. My experience taking an older car to the dealer would be too pricey. I have AAA and looked up who they referred and found Cliff's Auto Service. I spoke with Colby. Charged 389.00 dollars for a 170.00 dollar alternator and 150.00 install charge.So for a battery, belt and alternator it came to be 705.00. I've had minor issues in the pass but this will be the last one. I would definitely check around before trusting this company. read more

On a Friday around 4:30 I stopped to see if Cliffs Goodyear had nitrogen service for tires and was told yes, of course. Being late Friday I suggested I come back Monday morning and was told to come early because first come, first served was the policy and they opened at 7:30. Monday morning at 7:20 I arrived at Goodyear and a young man was opening the overhead doors and Being first there I let him know I was here for nitrogen for my new truck and was promptly told he was out. No explaination was offered or suggestion when I should return. Very poor customer service. read more

Do not use this place. Have used them multiple times, because there is usually no wait time (should tell you something). Every time had to take the vehicle back at least twice, for basic stuff. Price is always higher than originally quoted. Took truck in 3 weeks ago for water pump. Have had to take it back 3 times. They didn't hook up transmission cooler lines, put in the wrong temp sensor, and in the end the truck wouldn't even run. Then said they needed to replace the fan clutch, that THEY REPLACED LAST JULY. Then they gave up and said they won't work on it so I had to have it TOWED from their shop to another. Same experience with multiple vehicles. Friends that have gone there have had same experience. Don't waste your money. read more

My wife's truck broke down and AAA recommended Cliffs. The truck had just short of 200k miles on it and rusted pretty bad on the bottom but my wife loved the truck. They called first thing the next morning and told me that it needed a MAP sensor, plugs and wires and a fuel injection service for $800. I told them I couldn't afford all that and asked what I could do to keep it running. He said the MAP sensor would help the most but to be fair he said it may not be enough. The sensor went in and their was no change for $258. He said he wanted to put the plugs and wires next for another $300 and if that didn't work he would do a compression test. Well that didn't make sense to me since the little I knew is that the car did not need to run to do a compression test. I paid him for the MAP sensor and had the vehicle towed somewhere else. The compression test was done and unfortunately ol yeller needed to be put down. I believe if the truck was left at Cliffs I would have paid hundreds more to find the same result. read more

Cliff's Goodyear Auto Service Center. I moved to Weatherford in 2013. I have two Nissan cars but knew that new car dealerships charge far more than tire or independent stores like Cliff's for the same service. We travel a lot and I have had my cars into Cliff's at least 8-10 times for various maintenance and repair jobs. I have found them to be totally honest and to do top notch work. Recently, the Nissan shop told me I needed a new oil pan for $400 because the drain plus had been stripped out. Went to Cliff's and they explained that the plug is made of soft metal compared to the oil pan, so it likely only needed the plug to be removed, the stripped metal to be removed from the threads and then install a new plug. They did this all for free instead of the $500+ it would have cost me at Nissan ($400 +labor, shop supplies, taxes).. On another occasion, I took a car to Nissan twice for a tire pressure sensor light and each time they told me they could not find anything wrong. They charged me #$50+ both times. Took it to Cliff's 3 times because the light kept coming on. They couldn't find anything wrong either but charged me $35 the first time to reprogram the computer and did not charge me anything the 2nd and 3rd times to reprogram the computer. The light came on one more time after the 3rd time but I it hasn't come on again. They could have charged me the $35 fee the 2nd and 3rd times but didn't. Bottom line: they ARE more than fair and remind me of the kind of auto repair and maintenance store my Dad used to run. They have EARNED my business long term. read more
