Wife took her car in to get a couple used tires to hold over until taxes. They replaced 2. Turns out they put the wrong size on driver rear. Wife's vehicle is AWD. This DESTROYED the differential. When I called to tell them of their mistake, their manager Aaron advised me they put the wrong size on her car on purpose just to get her home. This is a lie. She drove from home to their shop to get tires that could get her through a few months. And further, the driver rear tire wouldn't have been a problem getting home. It had a slow leak! Why replace it at all if the medicine is worse than the ailment?! She told them she wanted to get a new set in A few months and asked for a quote. Which is to say, we KNOW they knew she intended to drive on the tires for a few months. Aaron quoted lies supposedly on the work order, All of which I'm positive had fresh ink as we spoke on the phone. Go somewhere else, anywhere else. How can you trust your vehicle with a company that skirts accountability and the lacks the integrity to do what's right? Lie after lie to save themselves a buck and stick their neglect on their customers. Just a disgusting practice. My Wife's take on this den of grift. I went into Texas Tires a couple weeks ago to get two tires replaced. I opted for used tires until I could get a new set a few months later. I told the guy that helped me this exact thing. I had him give me a quote for the new set I planned on getting near the beginning of March. They replaced the tires and I went on my way. Cut to three days ago when my car started making a God awful noise. I had to have it towed to Southwest Nissan so they could tell us what was going on. Turns out the rear tire they put on was not the right sized tire. It destroyed the differential and rear axels. When my husband called up to tell them the tire wasn't the right size they told him that they told me all about it. They said they told me it was the wrong size but it would get me home and back to a shop to get the correct size. This is 100% untrue. They never told me anything remotely close to that. So that's Texas Tire, anything to weasel out of accountability I suppose. Don't take your business there, you're not dealing with honest people. After sliding, hydroplaning, and fishtailing in the rains, I decided to trade in my gappler tires for Goodyear Wrangler Steadfast H/T tires. Night and day difference with the driving in even dry conditions! I arrived at 7:45 and was the second person there. When they say to be there at 8am, be little earlier to be first or close to first because after those doors opened, and they took my truck back within 5 minutes, they were busy! Constant foot traffic. They had great pricing on these tires, they were fast, their customer service was excellent and they knew their stuff when I asked questions about various other things they offer and about potential issues down the road with cam phasers and how to avoid it. The sweet girl who works in the office there was the first person I spoke to when I first called them to get quotes on their tires, she was very kind,helpful, and patient when my kids were acting feral when I got on the phone(of course), she is the reason why I chose this place besides the great reviews. We invested in new tires that we were told were top of the line for almost $1000 He didn't even make it 200 miles before this happened. He's lucky he wasn't killed. Texas Tire Sales was very condescending and said it was most likely my husbands fault for driving over something or driving with the air pressure too low (even though they had literally just installed them). I was concerned that perhaps there was a manufacturing defect and he assured me without even looking up our account that that couldn't possibly be the case. He did offer us a discount to purchase a new one to replace it. Lol The shop that sold us the new one near Lubbock told us the tires looked like they had been sitting for a long time. Went in for AC repair on an old F-150 pickup. Told when job complete would be 1249.++. Husband, 83 years old and not quite as sharp as he once was, paid with a debit card. When I checked the account, the amount taken out was 1287.++. I called the shop and was talked to as if I was an idiot. I called back and talked with Blake, the owner?, I was told, and he said there were signs all over the place that said there was a charge for debit and credit. I said debit is different and he said it is a credit card. I asked how you pay. Are you supposed to pay in cash? He said a person could write a check and I said my husband was not told that. He said, "so!" and sort of snickered. He acted like I was stupid. He hung up on me and I called back and I called him a rather unflattering name--AH, if you get the meaning. That is what he is. First off I wanna say that my husband grew up in Weatherford and he's been using Texas Tire for the past 8 years. They have put tires on every truck my husband has ever owned. This is not including all of he business the rest of his family gives Texas Tire as well, over the years. This is not just for tires, we bought our front end replacement bumper from them as well. On Monday, my husband went into Texas Tire Sales and ordered one tire. They said to come back the next day and the tire would be ready to put on. Well my husband went back at 1130 the next day and was informed that the tire wouldn't be there till 1:30. Came back at 1:30 and the tire he (Blake - son of owner) ordered for my husbands truck wasn't the correct size! He accused my husband first of telling him the wrong size! Seriously!!??? What kind of customer service is that! He (Blake) said he would have to order another tire and to come back tomorrow. Well we were trying to get this all done at the beginning of the week because my husband had to be back to work on Wednesday. On Friday we finally were able to go in and get the tire put on. Now, It was time to pay the bill. Another few things wrong. One is that I found the exact same tire on Amazon for $273. See the attached screenshot. Now I KNOW that Texas Tire can get that tire for less than what I see on Amazon. I'm guessing he marked that tire up around $75, seeing as we were charged $350. Now the clincher about Texas Tire is they claim to have road hazard. This of course would be worth a $25 mark up. My husband has bought quite a few tires from the store and it will has never been this high, $380 for one tire! That is ridiculous. My husband was shocked at the price and was really upset with all the hassle and the fact that he's been a customer for so long that the price would be marked up that high. In my opinion, some sort of discount should have been given - as a courtesy. That being said, with all the hassle we had to go through and the amount of money it cost, my advice to you is when it comes to tires and your mechanical needs I would go someplace else. My suggestion Turpin Tire!! Ps. Upon leaving the shop - they told me I had one bad sensor - I said that's okay I'll take it to the Chevy house. Very nice and didn't try to upsell me. I went in to have a tire replaced as I had just hit something. The pricing was reasonable. My husband eventually intercepted us while I was waiting for service and took our car to where we already had the tires under warranty - so we ended up not actually using Texas Tire Sales - but they were very nice and even helped my husband get the spare on my car so we could leave. The temp was in the mid-90s and they probably saved him an hour in the heat so we're extra appreciative of that. read more

sold me a used tire for $50 and it blew up in 3 days, almost totaled my car from the blow out, the tire was uneven about a half of an inch raised towards the body of the car and the lower side toward the outer side of the car, and was also rubbing on the inside of my suspension the mechanic who installed my tire did a poor job not making sure a tire has clearance, never again i'm i going here to get tires ever again! read more

We have been using Texas Tire for almost 17 years. First experience with them was a flat and a bent tire rim. They pounded that sucker back into shape, fixed my flat, and did not charge me. I have been going back to them ever since. Once, I got a flat at near closing time and called and they stayed open so that I could get there and they fixed my flat at again, no charge. They also offer used tires at a heavily discounted price. When we were short on funds hut desperately needed new tires, being able to buy used ones helped greatly. The used tires are excellent quality so it is a win win. They have replaced wheel bearings, done alignments, and steering work over the years. We keep going back because they have earned our loyalty. read more

Simply put, Texas Tire is what all businesses should strive to be. I have been doing business with them for fifteen years and have never had a bad experience. You can find cheaper new tires some places, but you can't beat their customer service. They are the ONLY place in the area to even consider for used tires. Most used tires are $40 mounted and balanced, and I have never gotten one that didn't look new. I am the automotive manager of a very, very large retail chain. I sell tires all day and get a 10% discount on top of that. I buy all my tires used from Texas Tire. I recently bought two used tires for the front of my car. I noticed that there was a very slight vibration at high speed. My wife took the car back today. I figured that they would simply rebalance the tires. Nope. Ernie, the manager, came to my wife and told her that they were replacing the tires just in case there was a problem with the ones that I bought. Virtually everyone in Weatherford knows Ernie. He is everything that a retail manager should be. When people come to me and simply can't afford a new tire, or need a wheel (we don't sell them), or need other products and services that we don't offer, I always tell them to speak to Ernie at Texas Tire in Weatherford. In addition to their tires, they have a full service repair facility. They are tops. They do great work for a reasonable price, and when they quote you a price, that's what you pay when you pick up the vehicle If I ever have evidence that Ernie has treated someone wrong, I will simply shoot myself immediately. Life isn't worth living if you can't trust SOMEBODY, and if you can't trust Ernie, you can't trust anyone. read more

Worst Customer service ever! This place use to be great. Got there with my Daughter a little after 5 said it would be a few minutes. We set outside because it was busy. I stepped in at 6 thinking my Daughters care would be next. Blake, said he was the owner said you will have to bring car back tomorrow we are closing. The best in weatherford!! Had a blown serpentine belt on my volvo. From start to finish could not have asked for better service. They bent over backwards to work with me. Got there at 6 and they got right on it and fixed tire. Had another issue as a result next day and had to stop at their other location in ft worth (viper auto$) on camp bowie and las vegas tr. Not a fan. I give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but this is two strikes. First time I had brakes done...took FOREVER and they never called to let me know they were complete. Got the car and drove off--brakes pulsing horribly. They never turned the rotors, just slapped pads on and sent me down the road. GRRR Had to go back in and wait around for them to do what they already charged me for. Next time in for used tires....BAAAAD idea! They charged me 30+ apiece and the tires they put on were pure CRAP. They were wobbling and bouncing when we got over 35mph, ridiculous! Another tire shop said the tires they put on had slipped belts and should never have been sold. What a scam! We had out of state tags and I think they assumed we would never be back. Went here to get a wheel alignment. My car is a Hyundai Genesis which, as we discovered, has some limitations on the alignment process. Because of this limitation they had to replace a front strut. That was just the beginning. After that it required repetitive full four wheel alignments. The shop (specifically Dwight) was willing to do whatever was necessary to get this done right. All I can say is this organization did a great job and I am totally satisfied. Don't pass up the opportunity for this shop to service your vehicle. read more

Blake is amazing at Texas Tire Sales.  I drove two hours to talk to him about getting new shocks and Air Lift air bags on my truck.  He was very helpful and very knowledgeable about the products that I needed.  All of which were for pulling heavy loads on trailers.  He knew exactly what I needed.  We scheduled an appointment for installation two days later.  I showed up Saturday morning at 8:00am.  Unfortunately after waiting in line, when I arrived,  I got this "Dwayne" guy. At least the business cards in front of him said Dwayne???  Short muscle dude with a little man complex.  Little guy.  I watched him be rude to everyone in line in front of me and then when I got to him.  He says "what"  that was his first words from his mouth.  I told him I had appointment and he said " its first come first serve".  I paid in full ($2,500.00 plus) two days before.  I pointed to Blake and said I spoke with him two days ago.  And Blake immediately stepped up and went and got a mechanic/tech and brought him in to get my keys. All to the aggravation of "Dwayne". I asked Dwayne if he had my number to call when they were finished and he said yes.  Blake told me it would take all day.  I returned at 2:00 (an hour before closing) and my truck was finished, but no call.  The bundle of joy Dwayne said he could not get a hold of me.  Then he says "I guess we are finished."  I told him that Blake told me that someone would show me how to operate my new air bags with the remote.  He said there is no one here to show me and that it was self explanatory.  So I said ' So I just you tube a video" and he said yes.  Then there was no remote or paper work.  Come to find out the remote was on the visor and the paper work was still in the shop.  So far I am extremely impressed with the shocks and air bags, but Dwayne ruined my whole experience at Texas Tire Sales.  Would not recommend anyone to get in this guys line.  He is a rude jerk.  The only thing I can figure is he is related to the owner.  Because he was a D*%$ to every one in line.  Blake was Impressive and professional. These guys are great! They go above and beyond to help. I had a steering tire wearing excessively on one side on a 2013 RAM dually. Thomas showed me how I could have them rotated putting the worn tire in the back as a dually. Balance and a wheel alignment and I'm good for awhile. I went to Texas Tires, their branch in Fort Worth on Camp Bowie, to buy some used tires for my car. I was treated in ways I didn't think possible. I was cussed at, threatened, and actually had the owner tell me he was going to shove my lug nuts "up my ass." I can't believe the things people think is ok. I just hope that nobody uses either of this man's locations, as he owns both of them. He was a complete jerk. He basically got angry because I caught him in a lie about some damage he caused to my car. His team was told before they started work that my car had lug nut covers. They looked at me like I was stupid and wrenched them all up anyways. After they had destroyed them. The owner took me out to the shop to show me what had happened. He said he was showing me so i would know that they didn't do it. Problem, He showed them to me AFTER they had been removed from the car. My wife hand cleans this car and knew that they weren't damaged before they worked on it. I just hope that, unless you like being treated like garbage, you won't use this company. I went in today frantic from a flat tire, with three shoeless kids in the car because life always happens when you least expect it. These guys had me in and out within 15 minutes, even rotating the tires, for me. At the end of it all, they wouldn't let me pay for the repair and told me to have a great day. It's almost shocking to have customer service like this today, but I can assure you everyone I know will hear of the amazing service I received today and I'll never go to another tire shop.
