Went for brakes and oil change. They completed pretty quickly and everything went good.

Went in for tires, an oil change, and a noise issue. Paid $25 for an inspection that recommended replacing recently-serviced parts -- turns out their system flags by mileage, not actual inspection. They couldn't identify the noise, just guessed "transmission." The oil change left my oil significantly overfilled, and they said it wasn't a problem. Worse, about an hour after leaving the shop, my car overheated due to low coolant -- which wasn't an issue before I came in. They denied touching it and refused to top it off, so I had to fix it myself at AutoZone down the street. Left with overfilled oil I now have to get corrected elsewhere, and still no real answer on the original noise. Can't recommend. read more

Passing thru Weatherford, had a flat at lake worth, the tire was in the back of the truck- needed a plug so we could continue. Had a bolt in a truck tire, "cant get to it tonight". Wow 30 minutes til close and wont do a plug for a tire!!! TERRIBLE customer service!! Went across the street to tractor supply got a plug kit! On5/15/24 My son ordered and paid for a tire he desperately needed. After about 10 days, no tire, they had noidea when it would arrive. He asked for money back. Was credited back to card. It is now 6/6/24 no money has been credited and staff is offended that he is unhappy and asking daily where his money is. This store did not provide a printed receipt at the time of purchase. Instead, they email them. I waited at the store for a few minutes, did not receive the email. I assumed it would be in my inbox by the time I made it home (about 30 min). No, it wasn't. I called back to confirm the email on file & politely request they resend it. Still no receipt. I called back about 3 hours later; they still had the wrong email address in their system. I provided my email again, for a third time, letter by letter. Still no receipt. Called and spoke with a manager the next morning. Again, gave the email address, letter by letter, for the fourth time. I even used the phonetic alphabet for each letter this time. Still no email. Thankfully, another store was kind enough to update my email & forward my receipt in about 30 seconds. Would 5 attempts to obtain a receipt be acceptable for you? read more

I can't believe that people like these take complete advantage of women customers who knows very little automotive work! My girlfriend goes in for a front brake job and charged her $440.99 to get her car back to go to work! $441 for front brake job!!! I challenged the billing and work and found that they replaced rotors that could have been resurfaced for $30 with $80 auto zone duralast rotors and charged her $217.98 for it. That's almost a 300% markup people!!! Yes! But wait! The basic front brakes service was $169.99!!! Never mind that there's always a suspicious misc charge of $19.98 and "shop supplies" of $7.39 just so they can. Oh and look at the fictitious and vague line item where they allegedly replaced a wheel stud on "one side" for NC. People, Honda made these wheel hubs with studs on them where only Honda special tools and hydraulic presses could get them out. Would Firestone have those Dealer tools? But my girlfriend needed the car to get to work and had to pay. Of course they're nice and friendly. Wouldn't you be if you knowingly screw your customers over? Customer service is a dying business model. Had an alignment scheduled for over a week. Show up and the machine is down. No call, no heads up, zero communication. When I asked why I didn't get a call to at least give me time to find something else, the Manager tells me, 'oh I'm not sure I just got here.' Be glad you don't work for me pal. read more

My Niece took her car here yesterday to have the AC belt replaced. They called about an hour after dropping it off to say the compressor was bad and needed to be replaced. She told them she would pick her car up today. They had replaced the AC belt and her AC worked fine driving home. read more

My girlfriend went in for new tires and a state inspection. Without permission the technicians went through her center console organizers, back seats, glove box, etc and they left a mess. While she was inside the men at the counter wouldn't stop staring at her and made her feel very uncomfortable. Disgusting that these issues still persist at male dominated spaces these days. Shouldn't be a problem for a woman to have normal maintenance performed on her car. And people wonder why people don't take their car into the shop regularly. read more

Our daughter was visiting us at PK for the weekend and we couldn't wait until Monday to get her tire repaired. On a Saturday, they took the time and effort to match a stock aluminum wheel from another vendor out of Fort Worth. They gave us a very fair price and kept us informed every step of the way. My mother took her Chrysler PT Cruiser into the Weatherford Firestone Sunday evening (02/24/2019) after the car started overheating. They diagnosed the problem and suggested a water pump replacement that would take 5-6 hours, but it was not long before closing time so she said to wait until the morning before doing any car work. When she returned the next day, they had already begun tearing the car apart and replacing the water pump as well as other parts of the car--WITHOUT HER CONSENT. She told them to wait until the morning because she's not too fluent in English and wanted to consult with me and other mechanics before agreeing to them performing the repairs. Throughout her experience, Weatherford Firestone also never bothered to explain their labor rate per hour and hours of work spent on the car before presenting her with the invoice and amount due after they serviced the car. In fact, they charged her $130 per hour for 6.5 hours, which doesn't make sense because they started working on the car when they opened in the morning (7am) and called my mom at 12:30pm to tell her the job was finished--which puts the job at 5.5 hours. After she called me to explain all the work they did without her consent and the rate they charged--which put the bill at $1,562--I called around and asked other auto mechanics what they'd charge for a water pump replacement, and the most it would cost with others was HALF the price that Firestone charged my mother. I advised my mother to pay the bill in fear that they might start charging her a storage fee, and she did. Then not even half an hour on the freeway, she had to pull over because the car was malfunctioning. A truck driver named Mike pulled over as well to help her, and mentioned that she "had no clutch". Besides the water pump, my mother's PT cruiser was driving great before she got to Firestone--the clutch worked perfectly. So now she's been overcharged and her PT Cruiser's clutch has all of a sudden stopped working. We're thinking of getting a lawyer involved now, and I think I'm going to try to get the media involved to scrutinize how Firestone takes advantage of their customers--by analyzing and compiling other peoples' experiences with the company. My mother is one of thousands that have been taken advantage of by Firestone, and I want to protect others from falling victim to these immoral business practices. read more

Had a 12:00 appt to have my pinion seal replaced. Told them I would have to wait on it. An hour later they finally drive it around and tell me I need a serpentine belt and swaybar end links. I authorize the work and they immediately tell me that I need my rear axle rebuilt for $3000. Half hour later a mechanic shows me my rear end yoke and where my son who previously worked on it weeks before had accidently left some of the old seal on the yoke causing it to double stack seal rings and leak. Again tells me my rear axle needs rebuilt. I politely decline and ask just to replace the seal Ali g with the other work. Almost 4 hours later the service advisor tells me that too much damage has been done and I need the rear axle rebuilt. I tell them I cannot afford that and to just put it back together. They finally did with no seal and just pushed it out the door. 5 hours later my rear axle is leaking 10 times worse and I'm stranded with no apologies and no offer to help me get my vehicle home which is not driveable now and I drove it there. They did not charge me for anything rear axle related but I paid for the other work performed. DO NOT GO TO THE FIRESTONE ON MAIN STREET IN WEATHERFORD! I'm paying off my Firestone card, cutting it up, and will never do business with Firestone again. I am a technician by trade and know many people in the industry where I live and work and I will definitely spread the word about Firestone and the way they gouge and take advantage of unsuspecting people. read more

I took my vehicle there because the tire kept going flat. They stated i had a nail in my sidewall and i needed a new tire and it was unrepairable. We then took it to discount tire for a different opinion and lets just say firestone personnel just want money!!! Discount tire showed me where the nail was and it was in the middle of the tire and no where near the sidewall!!!! I will never trust firestone and i encourage everyone to get a second opinion on any work done here!!! read more

Went in for my car having an odor in the cab, the checked it out and told me the valve cover gasket had a hole in it, i told the to go ahead and replace it, 10 minutes later i get my car back, . Anyways, fast forward to the next day, I'm driving my car and it starts acting like its not firing on all cylinders, so i popped the hood and one of my spark plug wires are sticking up. I wiggled it to see if it was just loose, nope it was completely off and covered in oil. I'd just changed my wires and plugs a month before and there wasn't any oil there then. Sooo, i took my car back to demand they fix the oil leak they caused, they supposedly fixed it and yup you guessed it, still have oil where my plugs and wires go. They'll screw your car up just so they can get you back in for more work and money. Beware of these scam artists. I've had to pay a total of around $550 to fix my car because of them read more

DO NOT GO HERE. I typically go to Discount Tire but do not live in the area and happened to be right here and in need of a tire change. After getting a call saying my vehicle was ready, we show up and nothing has been done with the excuse they couldn't find the wheel lock. When we asked why they didn't call, we got a blank stare. They obviously had our number to tell us it was ready. Even though we didn't get charged (because nothing was done). We wasted two hours waiting for nothing, and didn't get so much as an apology. Went in to today to get coolant topped off. Tommy immediately tried selling a pressure test to test for leaks but we declined and just had a top off. Drove away and 2 miles down the road the car started to overheat. pulled over, turned it off waited 10-15 minutes and drove back to Firestone. Tommy was the service advisor and proved once again why our family doesn't do business with Firestone. We mentioned that it had not been overheating before and Tommy interrupted to say that adding coolant won't cause it to over heat. We agreed, and went on to finish our statement that it was overfilled by one of their technicians. Tommy than proceeded to step out and look over the car, start it, rev the engine, and could not produce the symptoms again. Tommy then advised that had we gotten the pressure test he recommended, we wouldn't be having this problem. I mentioned that it may have been a sensor issue sense the car hadn't been overheating before and now it was maxing out on the heat gauge. Tommy then ignored what I said completely and started a rant about his wife's car having the same problem and what he thought it was. After a few more minutes of ranting and trying to figure out why nothing was hot or boiling under the cars hood after "overheating" several times he came to the conclusion that it was a sensor issue. They pulled it into the bay and we sat down to wait. Tommy came back out at one point said a bunch of cool car talk about vehicles in general and not at all related to our problem then told us we were good to go. I guess Tommy refused to acknowledge our concerns and treat us like we were ignorant because two females couldn't possibly know how a car works. Well Tommy, I would suggest that in the future you treat your customers with respect and not assume they are ignorant of the basic workings of a vehicle. I take my car in not because I'm ignorant enough to need some one to fast talk me into repairs I don't need. I take it in because I don't want to do the repairs myself.
