Everyone I have dealt with at Cliff's from office staff to technicians have been AH-MAZING! I am a new home owner and this is my first time having to deal with the septic system. We have the new one which I definitely prefer to the one my parents had from 1988. In the office I had spoken with Sarah to set up my first inspection. Very personable, patient and had me set up within a week's time. Mike had come out to do the inspection, I unfortunately had stepped out but he took the time and explained everything that needed to be done and why over my Ring camera and Francis called me a day later to set up the cleaning. (Septic was not cleaned out from previous owner, good news is we get to start fresh!) Francis called yesterday to verify time for technician to arrive. Messiah arrived this morning, was extremely nice, explained what he was doing answered questions and that once he was done that another technician David would be by to turn off the water and let me know what we will need to do going forward. I didn't know how full the tank needed to be so an hour later I called and spoke with Francis asking if I needed to turn off the water and she said she would check in with David and put me on a brief hold. She got back on the phone not a minute later, as David was pulling up, to let me know he was almost here. Honestly, everyone who works phones should be as nice as Francis! David introduced himself, he explained about the tank once I said I was a new homeowner, I asked a million more questions which he answered every single one. Once again just so polite, patient, the staff at Cliff's is amazing! Whoever does the hiring and training A+! I went from a new nervous nellie to a well informed homeowner. I really appreciate the time the techs took to answer my questions and explain what needed to be done. Never once did I feel like a nuisance or rushed. Keep up the good work! I paid over $6,000 to have the Riovation Biomaze installed and then repaired when it was sabotaged at our rental property. But the drainfield may need replacing and I can't get an answer as to why that would be. I need to at least get an opinion from Cliff's as to why this expensive system didn't do the job it was supposed to do before I spend more money getting the situation fixed. read more

We used this company to service our septic system on September 8th of this year. Their technician, Barry, documented on the pump work order that the tank condition was okay, the sludge was light, and that no problems were noted. Less than three months later, we experienced active sewage backing up into our home. I paid for a licensed plumber to come out, who snaked the main clean-out all the way to the septic tank, found no obstruction, and ruled out all interior plumbing issues. His professional conclusion was that the failure is within the septic system. Despite having their own documentation stating the system was okay, despite an active sewage backup (a clear health and safety issue), and despite advertising emergency septic services on their website, the company refused to treat this as an emergency. They would not send anyone out sooner than several days later, refused to document the discrepancy between their prior assessment and the current failure, and instead attempted to schedule a routine pumping while sewage continued backing up into the house. They also took my credit card information during this process, despite declining emergency service. I found the lack of urgency, accountability, and communication extremely concerning given the circumstances. Based on my experience, I would not rely on this company for emergency. read more

This Company is trying to rip off my parents. My dad is literally on hospice right now and struggling to make his bills. The original quote was $8500. I called to see if the permit had been pulled from Hernando County and they have no record of a permit even Being requested for. The company now has changed the price from $8500-$22,000 not even having acquired a permit. This tells me there is no justification for the price being jumped. They won't give an explanation on what's going on. My parents put a $3500 deposit down thinking they would have about $5000 to pay off the drain field. The people in the office are extremely rude and unhelpful With anything. I was told that I need to speak with Linda, but Linda wouldn't get on the phone. Apparently, Miss Linda called my parents and told them that the prize jumped all the way to $22,000 without any justification on why. I would absolutely stay away from this company without the shadow of doubt. There is something going on with this company that needs to go before a judge. If they will not give me back my deposit for my parents, then this will require legal litigation. We will not allow this to happen to my parents. I would give this company an F for compassion, caring, and customer service. I was told many times all they were doing was waiting for the permit. My review is strictly for renting a porta potty from them because I had septic problems. I heard they're very good with septic systems but I already gone with somebody else and I was pleased. I was very pleased with my porta potty and I called it the outhouse because my bathroom was all stuffed up and I couldn't plunge it. Not much more to say except it was a comfortable porta potty. They even stocked it with 4 rolls of toilet paper. If you ever have septic problems you should rent an outhouse from them for less than $100 a week. It's better than pooping or peeing in the backyard. read more

On 09-21-2021, through the recommendations on Angi Website I hired Cliff's Septic Services Inc. to pump out my septic tank and provide me a written quote if repairs are needed. The driver stated that he was only there to pump out the septic tanks and it may need a new Drain Filed. He also stated the owner would come out to verify, but he was not going to say or recommend anything regarding the Septic Tank. Note: He did an excellent job in pumping out the Septic Tank. Prior to the drive leaving I provided him a Coupon from Angi that stated the following: "Cliff's Septic Service Inc. Septic Tank - $10.00 off for Angi Consumers on Septic Tank Pumping Only. Cannot be combine with other offers". The driver stated we do not accept any coupons and took a photo of the coupon so he could give to his management. I called their office, and they still would not honor the coupon and later sent me an e-mail and said to contact Angi. The company said they called Angi regarding my coupon and it may have been a computer glitch and for me (Customer) to contact Angi. Note: A repeatable company would have honored the coupon and contacted Angi themselves to resolve this issue not telling the customer to call them. After reading Google with the number of negative reviews; how can this company receive the rating listed by BBB and Angi. read more

I will never use Cliffs again. Not only would they not deduct a little for me uncovering both lids . After it was pumped the driver in a very smart-alecky way told me he doesn't clean up customers messes. All dirt was on a tarp sod was separated. After that was told to me . Was able to schedule me right away when my septic tank overflowed into my shower. Not the best situation. All other places didn't have availability for several days. Even the emergency ones. Cliffs was the only place that was able to get me serviced right away. Even changed the filter in the tank. I had no idea it had one. It was in bad shape.
