It's been approximately 3 months since they installed us a "brand new system" and I've already had problems with it TWICE . First I must say... my parents AC needed a brand new replacement as well.. but they paid $5000 LESS than mine. And their AC is literally BLASTING with cool air. So I feel like I got played there. I honestly should of went with my parents company.. ANYWAYS, we got a brand new system put in and it was working fine for the first few weeks. Then I noticed it stopped getting cool but continuously blowing out air. I thought nothing of it and went on for a couple more weeks. Even My guests start to complain that my house is hot and humid. So I called climate care to have a tech come take a look. He came , looked around, open vents, Clean the big unit outside, clean the filter, and did whatever else he did that I wasn't paying much attention of. Anyways, after he left it was fine for a week.. (that was two weeks ago) Last week, I noticed the same thing happening again . Taking long to cool down to set temp or not even reaching the set temp at all. (Even after following the advice Oscar gave me since I have dual unit; one must either be off while the other is on or one must be set at a much higher temp while the other one is cooling..) it didn't work... instead the house is getting hotter. I ignored it for a couple days. Thought it was just me. Well just yesterday my husband was outside and notice the pipe/faucet that usually drips water when our AC is on , wasnt dripping anything. As a matter of fact it's dried out completely (which is not good). So today before leaving the house we turn the AC on and set it at 75. We left the house since 11AM. We got back at 10PM and our house was at 79 degrees. What?! It is now 1AM and it went up 1 degree so it's now at 80. I just set the temp down to 73 but the AC just keeps going. It hasn't turn off at all... and the house isn't cooling down either. (Imagine our PG&E bill) We are so uncomfortable. We have our fans on but it really isn't doing much. It is so inconvenient to stress about this "brand new unit" from them. I called them and left a VM hoping to have someone come out today since I'm off. Im honestly just a bit irritated at this point because we put in so much money for this "BRAND NEW SYSTEM" just to keep stressing "when is the next time I have to call climate care again because it isn't doing what it's supposed to do"... it's a brand new system... we shouldn't have to go thru this yet! Update : they were able to get someone out the same day! And that's what I love most about this place. But anyways, tech was able to find a leak that needed to be replaced since the first techs did not put enough of something and it caused a slow leakage of the cool air. I recend the previous 5 star review l gave this company. What l am about to write is my opinion and is not meant to influence anyone else's thoughts, but l think it appropriate to voice my experience with this company. I called them out for a routine ac inspection. The representative was very professional and l let my guards down and believed him when he said l needed a new capacitor and he suggested an attic fan to draw the hot air out of my attic. He also wanted to sell me on replacing my air ducts for around $8000:00 which l am glad l refused. Now to be fair I should have researched the price of the capacitor and fan before agreeing to purchase them from them. As it turns out the capacitors run from about $19.00-$69.00 but I was charged well over $300.00 for that part. A cold blooded rip off if you ask me. Now let me tell you about the fan. I was charged $2500.00 for it and after researching the price, they run from $600.00-$900.00 and $2300.00 for a large house. My house is under 1400 sf so l know l got the cheaper one. I put this fan to the test in every way possible and it just doesn't do what I was told it would do. I tested it with the same outside temperatures with the fan on and with it off since the app that comes with it shows the temperature of the attic with the fan on or off. There is absolutely no difference at all!! The same temperature rises and lowers the same when the fan is on or off. When I called the rep and told him this he tried to make me believe it was doing it's job even though l live here and I know it isn't. He said the ac should be staying on for shorter periods of time and it isn't. The fan is designed to suck the hot air out and it simply isn't doing that. He kept insisting that it was working which really insulted my intelligence because l am not stupid. Then he said the fan was moving air around in the attic. BINGO!! Moving it around but not out! So beware and do your homework so you don't get stuck with paying for something that at least in my case doesn't work. I emphasize that this is My experience with this company. Yours may be different. I think the fan l was sold is under sized for my home and the price l was charged was extremely overpriced. I glad l didn't fall for the ductwork spill! For all l know they may not need replacing at all. My experience is not even worth 1 star, let alone 5. This is my opinion and l am sticking to it! Oh and before l forget, the fan as three settings, low, medium, and high set to come on at a certain temperature. My last test was to run the fan on high from the start to the last and there was still no difference as when the fan is off. read more

Climate Care has done an exceptional job for me from start to finish. Others have mentioned how great Mark is -- a wonderful professional who clearly believes in customer service. He and the company went above and beyond for me. I bought a home in Wilton and asked Mark, who serviced my prior home's AC system, to give me an assessment of the HVAC system on the new place. I knew it likely needed to be replaced before winter. He confirmed that, quoted me a general price so I could budget for it, and showed me pictures of the condition of the ducting. I presumed we would tackle the job several months later. However, the compressor gave out as the flooring guys were putting in hardwood at the new house in 100-degree heat. On the Saturday before the 4th of July, Mark came back, said the company would honor his quote even though prices had risen more than $1000 by then, and promised to get the whole system AND ducting installed on the Monday before the holiday (since the floor guys were going to make it impossible to walk inside the day after the holiday). They pulled it off by working from 8 in the morning to almost 8 at night! Great service didn't stop there. When I called to explain that one room simply wasn't getting cool enough and that there were a few other small glitches, Mark returned, took careful note of everything and sent out another crew to complete the job by adding two more ducts and registers and fixing other small minor problems -- at no additional cost. Finally, because I couldn't get the propane installed before the HVAC system went in, Climate Care had to return a final time to hook up the propane to the heating system -- again at no additional cost. All of the service people were great, although Mike was exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful. And as referenced by others, Mark was not just a great salesman but also a very conscientious service-oriented representative for the company. This was the first and only call I made for an installation company and I struck gold. Diana helped me set up a meeting with the senior tech, who showed up within the hour. Richard Samkus showed up and walked me through the whole process and answered every single question I threw at him with calm confidence. He explained everything in a way that I could understand. I can't thank Richard enough for working with me on options based on my needs, size of house and mostly budget. Richard is unique in this world in that he really cares about others. I feel lucky to have met him. I picked out the best option and Richard scheduled me for the next day. I also have to mention that I had a last minute question and Richard immediately got back to me. Senior Service tech Richard Samkas had a no pressure process, very professional! Thanks Climate Care! Update. Not often you run into a company like Climate Care. Richard returned the following day to fill out the necessary paperwork for the purchase of our quiet cool whole house fan and smart attic gable fan. Took all of 45 minutes. He went over the features of both items making sure my wife and I understood how each worked. He set us up for 8:00 am install the following morning. Two workers, Travis and Eddie I believe were their names, showed up on time. Both were very professional and friendly. They showed me the location on the ceiling where the whole house fan intake register would be before cutting the hole. Floor was covered prior to cutting as well. Install of both components took between 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Cleaned up after themselves when job was completed. Travis then showed me how to operate the remote. Asked if I had any questions which I didn't. He then gave me the manuals for both units. I signed the completion paperwork and off to the next job they went. From my first call to Climate Care all the way through to install was a great experience. Office staff were very friendly. Then we have Richard. This guy is a people person. Easy to listen to and doesn't pressure you for a sale. Last but not least we have the installers. Thank you very much guys for the problem free install. My parents just had a brand new heating and air conditioning unit put in. They first met with Richard Samkas, he was very professional, thorough, and got the ball rolling for the new heating/air unit. They would also like to thank the two men who installed the units, Travis and Raul. What impressed them the most was how prompt they were. They have had issues in the past with people saying they would come out at such and such time, to be met with no call/no shows or extremely late. Travis and Raul said they would be here at 8:30, and they arrived at 8:20 ready to go. They worked extremely hard and were very professional. They were awesome to work with. There was, however, a small issue of the new system not working correctly after they left, but a special thanks to climate care for being so prompt to correct the small issue. Mark Sousa came out, right on time as well, and did a complete and thorough check of the units. He solved the issue and even went as far as to send a video of how the units work so that if there was any confusion in the future, we are able to take care of it. His professionalism and knowledge were very impressive. My parents have had nothing short of a great experience with climate care. Senior tech Richard Samkas came out to our home today on a rainy Saturday on a very short notice, we called the office and they sent out Richard right away we really liked how fast and efficient the service was. Richard was here within an hour of us calling the office to come out and diagnose our furnace issue. Richard was very quick and efficient in fixing and solving the heating issue, he got our heater up and running in no time, he actually had to go get the part on a Saturday which was amazing because all of the supply houses are closed due to Covid-19. Richard took it upon himself to go back to the Climate Care shop in Manteca to get the part that we needed and on a Saturday he came back within an hour and got our furnace up and running so me and my family have heating on a cold rainy Saturday. I call for an air conditioning tune up service.. They scheduled my service call for the next day From start to finish my experience with Climate Care was very satisfied the service technician Gerardo knew what he was doing he took his time to check my unit and check every single component of my air conditioner. Just like they advertise it No like other companies out there that I had bad experience with the service they just came in and out and they want to charge you a ton of money for doing nothing. This guys really take there time and do their job right and explain everything that's going on with my unit. Also the service technician Gerardo he educated me a little bit about how A\C unit works after all these years serving my unit with other companies not other company has ever took the time to even explain it to me how air conditioning works. TWO THUMBS UP!!! Yes, I am a "REAL" customer who called for an inspection of our air conditioner and was treated from the start to the end with the absolute best customer service. Richard (Senior Tech) came to our house and diagnosed our air conditioner and heater, and spotted some potential cracks in our heater with the pictures that he took and showed us and could have produced carbon monoxide which is a deadly gas that kills thousands of people each year worldwide. We took his expert advice and replaced our 20+ year old A/C for an energy efficient model and our heater system. From the moment Juan and Gabriel arrived, they were beyond professional and executed the job with perfection. I called Climate Care to clean my furnace. Within a week I had an appointment and before the appointment Devon called to let me know when he would arrive. He was very professional did a great job. He told me all about my system and if there was anything that needed to be done now and in the future. We both agreed that I needed a check of my entire system because of the issues I was having. So, within a week Chris Osborne came to check the system. I cannot say enough good things about Chris. He was very considerate and knowledgeable. He discovered there was a hole in one of the vents and immediately fixed it. I was still having issues so I called Climate Care again and they sent Chris out the next day. He checked all of the vents and discovered that a vent was blowing on the thermostat. He suggested that I have the thermostat moved and gave me a quote. The entire time Chris was here he was extremely nice and considerate. I really believe this company cares about how to treat people and doing a great job. We've used Climate Care for 15 years at least, and have always provided us with exceptional service. My request for service was handled immediately and was scheduled the next business day. The technician that came was Alan, and he was outstanding. He was very professional, did quality work, had an exceptional work ethic and great customer service skills. He was very detailed in his explanations of what needed to be done and brought all concerns to my attention, and stayed until the job was completed-2 days. Climate Care was great for us. Our air conditioning had been dying and during this last heat wave of course, on Saturday, it went out. Chris Hayes came out and evaluated the problem promptly. We knew we were in need of an air conditioning system since it was over old 20 yrs and was undersized by two tons. Climate care, had a unit for us and they were able to schedule us for first thing Monday morning. We were amazed at Pancho who worked practically all day in the attic which was well above 105 degrees while Steve worked on removing, rerouting, cooling lines and electrical. We took the opportunity to move the unit to the North side of the house, the old unit was on the south side (the hottest), so electrical and coolant lines had to change as well. They work all day on it. On Tuesday morning Alan came out and finished up by double checking the work and we were up and running. I am really impressed with this company and Sr. Technician, Richard Samkas. My AC was not blowing cool air and when I called to get a company I was referred to to come out, they were busy until tomorrow later in the day. I needed my AC unit fixed today . Richard came out and was very professional, kind and knowledgeable. I thought it needed R-22, but he immediately found that was not the problem, that it was a capacitor. He had my AC going quickly and it's working great as I write this review. Not often can you call and get a company, especially an air conditioning company with this hot water, to get to your house on the same day your AC goes out and give great customer service and diagnose and fix the problem. I don't know what happened, but the last two times the reps have tried to upsell me on something. I don't want upsell, I want service. In November/December I was told I need a new furnace for the mere price of $10,000, with $1,000 if o bought it that day. Of course I'll buy a new one, when mine stops working. 6 months later it still works great. This most recent time, last week, I was told my refrigerant was lower than it should be. I asked the rep if he could top it off, and I was told they won't recharge my AC without a $1,300 leak test. My AC unit has been moved several times for to construction. How do I know if it's any lower than it was a year ago? I don't, so why would I pay $1,300 for a leak test? I'd rather pay $300 for a refill for now. Unfortunately since Richard has not been back it's not the same. I think I may have to go elsewhere now. Moral of the story, don't upsell. I'm not at a used car dealership. read more

I called around and checked on different HVAC systems and got several bids from different companies. After listening to Chris Hayes and what Climate Care had to offer, I went with them. All the extras they offered were well worth it. The unit is exceptional, the service is exceptional. Chris told me the new unit would save me over 100 dollars a month from my old unit to the new unit he installed. 100% correct! That's about a 50% savings a month for me. They were very quick and very professional. There wasn't one thing that he told me that they didn't do. I recommend Climate Care wholeheartedly. I had them install a Quiet Cool Whole House Fan at the same time they put in the HVAC system. It's wonderful! Highly recommended.
