Though I did not personally hire this company, I recommended them to a coworker because their job, professional, and skill. My neighbor across from me hired them to take down 5 very very large fir trees. The only reason I'm writing this is because one of the larger firs were leaning and aimed towards my house where my children sleep. Once the permit was obtained in lake Oswego climbing monkeys were at my neighbors house PROMPTLY. My neighbor notified me that they would be in front out our houses at 8 am and they were. There was still ice on the ground and heavy winds and rain, climbing monkey still came with their whole crew. They brought wood chopper, crane, 2 trucks to haul and 11 crew members. They were all very kind and helpful, cleaned up our street of all the debris. Removed all the trunks and branches and kept things immensely tidy. When they came back on Saturday even with the high winds and rain they acted professionally and defied physics by cutting the top of the tree having it secured on rope, anchored to the tree and the truck and totally fell avoiding my neighbors house!!!! I was SURE it was going to knick the house, but it completely avoided all damages! Will try to post the video if I can get it from my neighbor. I have never seen a more professional tree removal service than climbing monkeys! HIGHLY recommend them!!! read more

I don't know if they're good at their professional services or not, but their truck pulled out right in front of me on the highway and I had to slam on my brakes to avoid hitting them. Then they continued to go 10 miles under the speed limit. Even though their hazard lights were on, not all of their hazard lights even worked and it doesn't give them the right to potentially cause an accident. If their road safety is any indication of their work safety, I would never hire them. read more

Wow, I can't say enough about climbing monkeys. What a great group of people. I had two limbs come off a huge oak tree. One was still hanging up there about 40 ft up. I gave three places a call in the morning. Everybody said it'd be a couple weeks before they could come over. Give me a bid and take care of the mess. I called climbing monkeys. They sent somebody out in 30 minutes. After looking at the tree they gave me a price and then told me they were able to do it later in the afternoon. That same day two gentlemen came out. Both worked extremely hard. One climbed 40 ft up with ropes to cut off the one branch that was still hanging on. They Cleaned up the mess and did a fantastic job. I can't praise his company enough. I just had this company fell a 60 foot eucalyptus tree. The tree was surrounded in bushes and flowers in my back yard so hard to maneuver but they did an amazing job. They dropped the branches on ropes into the middle of my yard and the trunk pieces directly under the trunk. They didn't damage anything and cleaned up and removed all the debris before they left. They also came in as the second best quote next to someone who had indicated that they might damage a few of my bushes because of it's location. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to all my neighbors. read more

Okay. The people were really nice. I just peaked over my fence to the neighbors (their trees I'm trimming off my fence line) and there is quite a bit of rubbish on their side! Thankfully my neighbor is cool and didn't get upset. I feel obligated to go clean it up. I guess it's not that big a deal but things are adding up. Shredding a baby cascara in the landscaped area, leaving a mess in my neighbors yard and they did break a piece of plastic off the roof of my shed. (Which was tricky cause it's right under the trees they trimmed and they told me and apologized.) I guess my advice is to point out everything to be careful of and make sure things are cleaned up thoroughly before they leave. read more

Earlier this year we hired Climbing Monkeys to remove a very large tree in between our house and our neighbors house. Our houses are very close to each other so this was a job which required great skill and caution. Climbing Monkeys came on time as scheduled and did a fabulous job of cutting down the large tree with no damage to either of our properties. Outstanding, professional, courteous and efficient with excellent price Removed 75+ foot oak 10 feet from house with overhanging branches. Felled tree with such skill that tree did not damage any surrounding trees and nothing fell on the roof. I had a very good experience working with Climbing Monkees. They were friendly, easy to work with, got the job done quickly, and cost just a little over 1/2 what others would have charged. I had them cut down 1 tree that was next to my driveway. They were done in about 2 hours, with all of the logs in a reasonably neat pile and all of the branches chipped and left right where I asked for. They cleaned up the area as neat as I could expect and even managed not to trample the plants underneath the tree. I would definitely recommend them. read more
