Horrible service I want to complain because the people who answer the phone at the Camelia Clinic refused to help me. They said they could only send my records by fax or that I could go in person. Would give 0 stars if it was an option. lied to my insurance about an incident I spoke with them about. No accountability and overall had a very careless experience with the nurses or "doctors" that I saw with both of my visits. I grew up going to this clinic, but last time I went they sent me to another clinic because they were busy ( i got bad service thier). Today I went their again and they cancel their service to me. Open 7 days a week even during COVID, no appointments, they welcome walk ins all day. . They accept uninsured and don't price gauge you, 90 dollars for the visit plus whatever labs they recommend you get. Certainly cheaper than going to the ED. Similar clinics in town take weeks to get in. Here if you are sick you are going to be seen that day. Are you going to have to wait? Likely -- because just like you there are other people walking in. They will also see your kids.. in what other clinic can an adult be seen with you kids on the same visit? They also take care of pregnant patients with tenncare. read more

I would have given Medicos zero stars if it that was an option. I used to work at this office and I would not recommend it all. They are very unethical and HIPAA was a joke to them. They would talk about patients in front of other patients. They also committed insurance fraud by dummyinig patient records when there was going to be a TNcare audit. There were some good doctors there when I worked there but since it is a training office most of the doctors are only there a year or so, so you probably won't continue to see the same doctor when you come. I had a wonderful experience with Medicos! It was recommended by a co-worker as I was having acute stomach pain and did not want to go to the emergency room. I went in with no appointment (love that they take walk ins) and was seen in an hour and a half. The doctor listened to all of my symptoms and suspected reasons for my pain. The doctor personally did the ultrasound of my stomach and surrounding organs, right there in the office without the need to go to another location or schedule a new appointment. Wow! He confirmed that my suspicions about my pain were incorrect and in fact the pain was something much more simpler than I had imagined or thought. I was given a thorough exam and diagnosis and left with a prescription that has since turned around my condition and I'm feeling wonderful. I love the one stop nature of this clinic. They take care of everything there. I would highly, highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a doctor. read more

Had an appointment at 10 didn't get to the room til 2 hours later horrible services ... looking for another doctor for my wife as we speak.

When we go to Medicos our wait time is usually 30 mins. Which is great! My husband sees the doctors there because he is uninsured. I am so grateful they take uninsured patients and their prices are reasonable. He usually goes to the doctors once a year. We don't have any problems. The doctors are courteous. Yes their offices are older but they are clean. I would much rather have a knowledgeable and kind Doctor in an older building and with nice staff any day of the week! read more

They get no stars from me. I don't understand how you don't see what others doctors see. Went to medplex and life choices and got an ultrasound and they seen sac, yolk sac and baby and go to medicos the exact same day just a couples of hour different and they said they didnt see anything but a sac and that the pregnancy was false. How with a positive test, and high hormone levels and ultrasounds that was normal. Gave my children shits they didn't need and too many doses of other shots. The health department recommended not to take them back there. I think they all are in training and need lots more of it. Not to mention they gave me meds that was not suitable for me because I'm pregnant but they told me it was safe fir me and the baby. Never going back. They don't deserve that one star read more

I am from another state and was visiting my family in Memphis when I became ill. My throat hurt and I had a high fever. My aunt recommended that I go to Medicos. I called and they told me to come in.I ,did need an appointment. A very nice blonde lady named Camey greeted me in the waiting area. She made me feel at home. I only had to wait about 20 minutes. They staff was very efficient. Dr. Rocco examined me, and he acted very caring and knowledgeable. He prescribed medicine, and I was able to get better and enjoy the rest of my stay in Memphis. I don't think that anyone should go to this doctor's office. Their staff is rude, with the exception of a heavy set younger woman who is not there very often or either she quit, and both doctors seem as if they would rather be anywhere but working. Dr. Laraya has a better attitude than Dr. Mattewada but they both could use some more bedside training. I hate to feel rushed especially when you have the nerves to just ask me if I want pills for the symptoms I described to you instead of actually running tests on me; that's beyond unprofessional. The last time that I was there, the waiting room was so packed that people literally didn't have anywhere to sit and the people who came in had to walk back out. Seriously?? I know that you don't have to make an appointment but the killer is that they will stop seeing people when it's closing time even if you have been sitting there all day waiting to be seen. They are extremely slow and seem to purposely take their time calling patients back. Their equipment and rooms are VERY outdated for a doctors office. I think my four year old could probably build a better office building than what they have done with the place. I don't fancy any doctor's office that calls you, as if you are going to be put into a room, only to make you sit in a "kitchen table chair" behind their makeshift door that consists of a thin, white hospital sheet, hanging on a shower curtain rail as they sit there asking you why you are there while other patients are sitting less than ten feet away. There is no privacy at this doctor's office and the walls are so thin that you can literally hear everything that's being said in the whole building; meaning that if you are in the waiting room you can hear the patient and doctor talking in detail about why the patient is there, what the patient has, and what the doctor will prescribe -- in that order! read more

Medicos was not our first choice, but given that they were the only ones to take on my wife's pregnancy we had to settle. The office is archaic as far as space, equipment, and things to do to keep your child's attention. The wait is annoyingly long, I shouldn't always have to set aside two hours out the day for a doctors appointment. 90 minutes if you go on a week day. The biggest problem I had with medicos was their inability to communicate all information. It seems like someone would always forget to tell us something. Whether it would be with insurance, procedure, or appointments, it seems like there was always a lack of information. Granted there are some very nice doctors at medicos, and I admit when you need them to pull through, they can be clutch. That's only when you need them to be, they can be very forgetful and disoriented most of the time, and I believe it comes from all the patients they see. It's way too many in my opinion. Oh so we had three different ultra sounds at medicos and each time they said it was a girl, surprise! It's a boy. We were talking to another patient in the lobby one day and she said we aren't the only people she heard that happening to at medicos. I had to take my child to get the rest of his shots at the heath department, because Medicos doesn't do all of them with our insurance(something that wasn't communicated to us)and the ladies at the health department suggested not to take him back to Medicos. That's another story, but all in all if you have to deal with medicos be sure to ask plenty of questions, go on a weekday if possible, and bring something to do while you wait your turn to be seen. read more

The clinic is old outdated crowded and reminds you of a office in a 3rd world country, no money is put back into the practice. All of the medical assistants are Hispanic (whats up with that?) who speak very bad or no English. You will have a hard time communicating. The doctors seemed to be only skilled in gynecology or obstetrics. General medicine seems to be a struggle there. read more

This is NOT a qualiy care office. Wait time for those that have appointments will be over an hour. Ive never seen my PCP. Ive been handed off to one of the student nurses each time. I explained my symptoms and was told "Its normal" each visit I've gone too. I will not continue going to this office and will be requesting a new PCP. read more

i am writing this review on behalf of my older sister and myself. i was recommended to this office through her in the hopes of experiencing what she'd experienced and that was: them accepting numerous insurances, speedy service, open to walk ins, and more importantly having little to no complaints about my experience (her words exactly). however, i am just a tad bit concerned about my arrival in a few days after speaking with one of the employees. after asking him a series of questions that he either couldn't answer or was not willing to it left me with a small doubt. i am still looking forward to this visit! i am 4 months pregnant and need prenatal care (my first child)! wish me luck i want the experience that my sibling had or better!!!! read more
