I was in Methodist North for total knee replacement for 5 days. From the moment I entered the door…read moreuntil I checked out, I was treated like a family member. I have never had such courteous responses to any request, large or small. Other than the pain, I looked forward to seeing each of them everyday. I have nothing but praise for all the staff. The floor I was on, was on it's way to being renovated. The other 4 floors had been completed, they must be marvelous because, even though mine was next, I was very impressed with the size of my private room. By the way, all rooms are private rooms. I was on the first floor, which is the joint care unit. The rooms are very spacious with a sofa that makes into a bed, recliner chair, utility closet where they store your meds in a wall safe, the bathroom has a full tub with a shower head, grab bars all around, storage are for closes and sink and counter in main bedroom area. Now to the food, the first 2 days I was ravenous, so I ate everything. The meds started wearing off and I can still say the food was good. The hospital is catered by Picadilly Cafateria, so you are getting cafeteria food which is still better than regular hospital food. Can you tell, I was very pleased and I give this hospital a 5 star and lots of praise. If you are thinking about this hospital, think no longer. It's great. They were rated as one of the best Regional Hospitals by US World News. That says it all!
