The teachers take time to teach them reading and writing and all the basic learning skills to prepare them for Kindergarten. My husband and I love their curriculum and daily activities. The facility is huge and very clean. We never have issues dropping the kids off in the morning because they loved going everyday. The teachers and aides are very caring and attentive. We were sorry we had to move out of the area otherwise our children would still be going to Future Leader Learning Center.

Each teacher there also made sure to know each child. My child every morning gave hugs to all the staff to start their day and a hug at the end as well. Field trips were arranged, the curriculum is awesome and fun. Not only did my child learn math and reading, but also culture lessons, Spanish, nutrition, but also had a physical ed class as well. During play the children were learning. The center reaches out to parents and gives the parents tools to help at home as well with educational growth. There is a nap time or quite time for those kiddos who no longer nap. I just can't say enough about how wonderful the staff really is because I never worried about my child while they were at the center.

There was one experience that will never leave me that demonstrated the value of such a wonderful place like the Greenbelt Children's Center-one afternoon I had gone to pick up my sons and found that the children were next door in a recreational room at a concert that had been arranged by the staff. I went in the room and found Mrs.G on the floor with my son and her arm around him, comforting him after a long day. I could see from several feet away that she truly has a passion for what she does and she greatly cares for the children. The center enforces healthy meals and snacks, ensures proper hand-washing of the children constantly to prevent the spread of germs, and the security protocol implemented is comforting, knowing that my children are safe when I leave them in their care. The kids loved having swimming 3 times a week and swimming lessons as an option. My only concern was the price, especially when I had to pay double the tuition for 2, however you can't put a price on a quality facility like GCC. I love GCC and hope that I will be able to afford several more summers there for my children. The experience was unforgettable.

This one of the few places that would accept him at that early age. The teachers there do it all! Prepare meals, supervise the children in the morning, do minor repairs, drive the bus to pick up / drop off students at local schools, etc. my son had some specific needs and each teacher and Director was more than accommodating. That took a large weight off my shoulders. I really like the photos sent to the private portal everyday. This way I can get an idea of what is happening during the day. We have photos that go back 3 years...love that. I've met just about every teacher there and I have no issues. if I have a question I can ask them in person or email them. emails do not get ignored....they are responded to quickly. The extra activities they have for the children are wonderful too. My son loves his teachers...all of them. Thank you all for doing what you do!

My son was enrolled for only one month and suffered a femur break which child family services held one of the teachers responsible for physical abuse on my son. The broken femur was his third incident within one month of him being enrolled. Kindercare has yet to take responsibility for my one year olds injuries. The lies that are continuously being told as to how my son got injured I am fed up. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. I have all the information needed to support and once everything is done with the trial I will make my child's story known! They have staff members who are not licensed working with kids. He was injured three separate times within one month by the same employee. What is still disappointing to me is that, despite all this time passing, my first direct communication from a KinderCare representative regarding what happened to my son came during the deposition--over a year later. Rather than focusing on why my child was repeatedly hurt while in their care and taking responsibility, the discussion was centered around money. This has never been about money. It has always been about my son and accountability. I have been very clear about why I am continuing to fight this: there are families who do not have the resources to take on a large corporate daycare after their child is hurt. I am fighting for my son, but I am also speaking up for those families who may not be able to. I've also attached part of Kindercares representative's email stating that my statements about me fighting this for my child being injured in their care is not just about money to me. So again, take what I am showing you and keep your kids far away from this establishment as a whole! I appreciate the fact that they were very knowledgeable and helpful through this whole process and patient as we kept pushing our son's start date back to make sure the military subsidy was approved before we begin. The center will not offer toileting assistance to children who ask for help other than providing them with their spare clothing and offering wipes for the child to clean themselves up. I called the state about my concerns. The state visited and found that the center was not out of compliance with this, however; during a meeting regarding the care of my child the directors were very rude. They told me that I was upset because I was not getting what I wanted. When I asked where in their handbook to find the section on the care they provided and didn't provide the director told me, "You can read, find it yourself. You signed that you read and understood the information." When I asked what age they expected children to wipe and clean themselves up "three" was the answer that was provided. My child is school aged and I certainly don't expect any staff member to accompany him to the bathroom and monitor his toileting habits. I do however expect that anyone who I am paying to provide care for my son, help him whenever he requests help. I don't feel that including this in an IEP is appropriate (the center requested this in order to provide help to my child if he asked for it). This is not a disability but a skill that has not been fully developed The center did offer to call me if my child requested assistance and I could leave work to come to the center to assist him. Needless to say, I am very disappointed and the care of my child will not be entrusted to this organization. The directors are very unprofessional and condescending to their patrons when their business/care practices are questioned. These ladies have a lot to learn if they are going to be successful in the childcare business. When I told them I would be posting my review to social media they asked to make sure I included all of the details so I hope this honors their request. Parents/guardians, do your homework and make sure to visit this center before deciding to place your child here. Go with your gut.
