Decided we were hungry on the way from PGH to the finger lakes & came across the Clinton on yelp! Seemed like a small little diner & a good place not too far off the highway. Typical bar food with a decent selection of food. I forgot to take photos when they first brought our food out so apologies on the half eaten plates! Chicken tenders were nothing special but good. The chicken quesadilla was delicious. It cane with mushrooms, peppers, and onions in it. Definitely gives a "local bar" vibe. Only 5 tables & the bar, with a pool table. Came here for a quick bite to eat before attending a birthday party afterwards. The Clinton has a nice array of food items and daily specials. In my previous review I mentioned how good their burgers and fresh house fries were. Tonight I got their 'Barney' wings. A house chicken wing sauce that was a mildly sweet hot sauce with cracked pepper and other spices. Really unique and fantastic! I urge those who go here to give it a try, even if you order it as an appetizer. Wings were also cooked to perfection. My only recommendation would be that they give you a bigger bleu cheese dipping cup. The ones they have are very small. read more

This place looks sketchy from the outside, very divey. But don't judge a book by its cover. The bartenders were both super friendly, as was the server. Stella on tap was fresh and cold. Mixed drinks were good. Lots of locals/regulars hanging out, the bartenders were sharing shots. The wing ding chicken wings were awesome. We got the parm garlic and medium Buffalo flavor and both were great. The burger that I order medium rare came out... wait for it... medium rare! It was a solid bar burger, fresh lettuce tomato and onion. The fresh cut fries that came with the burger were good, but my wife upgraded to the beer batter fries and she definitely won the fry lottery. Bathroom was surprisingly clean and smelled good. This place is cash only, but they have an ATM inside if you need it. As a side note. They are using a lot of recycled paper products and biodegradable straws, etc which was cool. read more

Clinton's was recommended to us during our visit to Salamanca. Needless to say, it was a pleasant surprise! The place is small and with the Covid social distancing there were only four tables. Luckily we got one of them! I had the best Bloody Mary I think I've ever had! We ordered the bleu cheese and bacon burger and the Italian sausage sandwich and both were incredible. This local watering hole and dining establishment is by far the best around! I recently stopped by for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised to find a Greek Platter on their specialty board. When my order arrived I was amazed at the amount of food, and when I dug in....well, lets just say, "WOW!" It was as good as if not better than anything I have had at Greek restaurants! YUMMY! We stopped there after playing golf at Elkdale. First off, the waitress was accommodating and provided great service. We had a few drinks and were happy that they we serving Heineken 0.0 beer. Great job to accommodate those who are dialing back the alcohol. We had wings which were so well done with great topping choices. Burgers and Quesadillas were delicious. We had the Panco fried shrimp and chicken salad. Both were delicious. Beer was nice and cold. Waitress was great. FYI, there are only 4-4 person tables and one 2 person table. This is a small bar and they have the juke box WAY too loud pool table is close to sesting so you may end up with cue stick in your face. My family was here from Arizona. We don't eat meat and they do so we ordered them beef on weck. The beef was dry as cotton and it had no body. Tiny little pieces of meat that looked too old to serve anyone. They were trying to be polite so they kept eating them. I couldn't stand the faces they tried hard not to show. My family and I were looking for simple good food. Took a chance on this place, and it was GREAT! We had Pickle Fries, Wings, Burgers, Chicken Tenders, Beer Battered Fries, and Cheese Curds. Everything was delicious. Bar food done REALLY well. And the service was exceptional. Our server, bartender, and even kitchen staff were all friendly and attentive. My 5 year old niece was with us, and the cook even went and found some coloring books and crayons for her, which was just above and beyond. Thank you to the staff of The Clinton. OMG!! How have a slept on this place for so long. The meals I've missed, super saddened by it. This place is the epitome of hole in the wall awesome. Small space, small kitchen, nice local following and super friendly staff.So happy I decided to drive down from Great Valley and pick up some delicious dinner tonight. (We are reopening in stages but I'm still not convinced its a good idea to go back to eating inside places. Luckily, they still have curbside takeout) Yes it is cash only (who cares, there is always the ATM) and the wait time can get legit long. (Our order took an hour but its a small kitchen pumping out a lot of orders so be patient. You will be extremely happy you did) First off, the grilled chicken salad is one of the best salads I've had in a long time. It had effort. (Not just iceberg with a lifeless boneless beast sprinkled with chedder) The chicken was nice juicy chunks, there was salty bacon, sweet craisens, crunchy croutons. I will order this again and again. Fried pickle fries and fried banana peppers are top of the line. Great batter, excellent flavor. The chicken quesadilla came as requested (no onion or mushrooms for me) and the chicken was seasoned, the peppers were sweet and the little cup of guacamole I added to the order was totally worth the little extra charge. The pizza made my husband's entire week better. It was the perfect ratio of cheese, sauce and dough. The pepperoni was spicy and the sauce wasn't to sweet. Phenomenal. The portions are great. The cost is well earned. Thank you to the staff at the Clinton for putting out this level of quality for the whole dining experience. We will definitely order again. read more

We visited this jewel while spending a few days at the casino. The picture of the Bloody Mary is what got us to bite and give it a try. If someone considers this a dive bar, they have not been to a true dive bar. The staff make you feel like you're a regular. The Bloody Marys are absolutely amazing. I recommend having a DD if you drink more than one. No joke. It's very clean and has a great atmosphere. The bartender recommended some places for us to visit while we were in the area. We didn't try the food while there, but 2 Bloody Marys pretty much count as lunch. The cook wasn't in yet, so we didn't get the chicken wing as a garnish, but it'll happen next time. We visited Salamanca, NY from California to see Jewel in concert and fell upon this restaurant. The food was so delicious and made fresh to order-- we could all tell by the taste of our food. My fries tasted like the potato was just freshly cut and my mushroom swiss burger was perfect. We also ordered a cheese quesadilla that was perfectly prepared, and the pepperoni pizza was delicious. There were some young girls there that put music on the jukebox that really set the environment up for us to further enjoy the experience. Glad we came her, great food and fun music. read more

We stopped on a Sunday. Didn't have cook, so menu limited. Didn't matter, the available food (wings. Tenders, mushrooms, and chili fries) were awesome. Most importantly, the attentive service with Crystal was superior. Crystal tends bar, doubles as server and didn't miss a beat. We were a party of four with two widows 76 and 78, we just buried dad and we're looking for lunch. Crystal turned the music down, the air over our table, and didn't let our drinks go empty. So there was only 1 review on Yelp and there's not a lot of options in this small town. Figured I'd give it a try. Glad that I did! My friend was hesitant due to the solid "dive bar" environment, but I knew better than to judge a book by its cover. We split wings and pizza. Both were fabulous and we'll seasoned. My friend ordered a cup of soup which was fresh and tasty. The whole meal, including 2 beers, came to $35 and we still had leftovers to take home. Great deal if you ask me! Messed up my to go order for the last time. I'm not a complainer and I think their food was generally good, but the last three times in a row have been horrendous. The first time I ordered boneless chicken dipped in hot and got wings (with bones) that were burnt to a crisp. The second time I ended up with the right chicken, but it was also burnt to all heck and they couldn't be bothered to put the hot sauce on them and it came separate in a cup. And lastly, today, I ordered a burger that came with mayo on it when I ordered plain. I know I'm a bit of a weirdo, but I find mayo to be a huge deal breaker... it defies reason, but it is who I am. I don't know if they have a new cook, or if the current one doesn't care anymore, but I know I am over the place and I will have to take my business elsewhere. This is a hidden germ of the north NY. We had great time enjoying the pizza and chicken salad. I would rate my salad as fours star even comparing to NYC restaurants. Don't judge by the size of the place. Can't believe there is such great food in such a small town. The pizza was great too. I am not a big fan of pizza after a long day drive, but it tastes sooo good that I had an entire quarter. And given the price, it is a definite five stars read more

The wings are awesome, so are the Bloody Marys. Have always had great service, until last week. We stopped in on a Wed evening. The barmaid was more interested in her phone and not very attentive, (and it was not busy.) She said they only do the Bloody Mary's with everything on Sunday, even though we were ordering wings. (By the way all you can eat wings Wed night). The cook was awesome though, she was very personable came out and asked how everything was and she took our order for another basket of wings.I gave it a 5 star, because maybe the barmaid just had a bad day. The other reviews were right on! The Clinton is a bar atmosphere and was nice and relaxed. It is located just a short drive from the casino. We didn't realize we had arrived a little early for their dinner hours, but we were waited on immediately! The waiter/bartender was courteous, friendly and attentive. I assume he is the owner. I had the fish fry which was delicious. It came with a potato and 2 sides. I chose the Stuffed Pepper soup as one side and it was excellent. I chose fresh fruit as my other side. My husband had the Cajun broiled fish and he said it was done just right. We will definitely eat there again!!! read more
