If I'm being honest, I know nothing about comic books and the store you can purchase them in. However, my fiancé does and he loves Clint's. We went to a few comic book stores that were closer to our house, but he insisted that Clint's was the best. So we came and from what I saw, he was right! This place is HUGE.. so many comics to be read. Not to mention the staff was the most friendly and knowledgeable out of all the stores we have visited. They made me want to read some comics, and that's not a desire I have ever had. They worked with my fiancé to find what he was wanting and in his price point, and overall we had a really good experience. As we were leaving, one of the workers offered us brownie bites that she made, and if that's not the best customer service then I don't know what is.

Childhood favorite! One of the largest selection in the KC Metro. Great service and knowledge on various titles and current story lines.

Horrible customer service. Unwelcoming and rude. One of the worst businesses I have ever stepped in.

Ask the Community - Clint's Books Comics & Games

I have stopped by this place several times in the last two years but the door has been locked but there are lights on inside and merchandise is visible. Anyone know if it is still open?

They might as well be closed. Open by appointment only, but I got the impression that they just do not give a fuck about the day to day of this business.

‍ SHOP LOCAL, OLATHE!…read more Four years ago, Michael took two things he genuinely loved--comics and coffee--and turned them into something special for our community: Comic Coffeehouse What started as a passion project has grown into a one-of-a-kind gathering place filled with creativity, conversation, caffeine, and community. Whether you stop in for a latte, to browse comics, meet up with friends, or just enjoy the vibe, it's clear this place was built with heart. Small businesses are the backbone of our community. They bring character, connection, and local flavor to Olathe, and every time we choose to shop local, we help support someone's dream. Also, it was really cool to see that they support our local Olathe Public Schools by participating in the Adopt-a-School Program...looks like they've adopted Sunnyside Elementary. I know Heather Devocelle Schoonover was thrilled about this! Congratulations to Michael on FOUR years of serving Olathe with passion, creativity, and great coffee! Here's to many more years of comics, community, and caffeinated adventures ahead! #ShopLocal #Olathe #SupportSmallBusiness #ComicCoffeehouse #CommunityMatters City of Olathe, KS

The shop owner told me that there was a delay in shipment (which happens a lot) then when it came I ignorantly believed it was a first print (didn't verify, that's on me) and was charge $20 for it! Fast forward years later, I've let that go. I can't go back in time and change it. And I've decided to let it go and continue going to a store that over charges and lies. I bought the Invincible Omnibus volume 1 and it was clearly read and mishandled spine cracked and not in the greatest condition but still paid full price. I could've got it on Amazon for less, NEW. But once again I let it go. I've been going back every week to see if things change but they don't. Then this last time I went the shop owner was entertaining racist conversation from an ignorant customer. It's been over a week since this happened. I usually go in with my headphones because I get over stimulated in a small crowded space like this shop so I've never noticed this before, but that day I didn't have my headphones in. So, I heard everything. I have receipts showing that I've spent over $200 dollars in December/January at this shop and I regret giving them my business. Needless to say I will not be going back.

I was wondering around on a Saturday evening and found this local gem. What an incredible place…read more Enchanting. I immediately felt at home exploring the 3 floors. The books cover every subject. Some were probably harder to find. I happened upon a hardback about Eleanor Roosevelt and the years she spent alone after FDR's death. I also found a copy of an old magazine which explored all sorts of Tibetan culture. I purchased both. The book on Eleanor was found in the basement which is a bit of a labyrinth. I got tickled because I was entranced by the books so much that I nearly tripped several times on the very uneven floor. And it's painted all the same color so you can't see the weird level changes well but I was weirdly not even upset about it because it added some intrigue to the mystery of searching the shelves in the basement. Even on a nearly 100 degree day, it was chilly down there. Cool! Upstairs on the 3rd floor where it was toasty, I found the magazine. There were some cool lounge areas up there too. Record albums and a music section. I was mesmerized. I believe there were a couple of people putting out books but I'm not sure. I never asked anyone for help because I wasn't sure who worked there and I didn't really need any. The guy who checked me out seemed pleasant but I can't speak too much on the service except to say it was fine. I felt it was very acceptable to read through books even though they were for purchase and except on the crowded main floor, they had places for you to sit and read so it was even encouraged! I love that! The only thing I'd have liked that I did not see is a bit more merchandise that is book and reading related. They had a few Prospero Books tshirts and a tote bag but that was about it. I admit it wouldn't necessarily fit the vibe to have a section like this or maybe it could if done in a nonchalant way. The messages from customers written on the walls and shelves throughout the store along with photos were absolutely perfect! There were some photos that showed the basement before it became the magical place it is right now. Reading the messages and seeing the photos let me know I was in the realm of my people. All the books and magazines I saw were reasonably priced. I spent less than $15 on my large hardback and magazine. I didn't have nearly enough time to explore. I hope to go back!! You should definitely go and support a local bookstore treasure!!! I'm so thrilled they are here! We need more like them! And they carried ALL types of books. There is no censorship. As noted on Prospero Tshirts, "There are worse crimes than burning books. One of them is not reading them." - Joseph Brodsky And you'll find in my friend's book, The Sun Does Shine, they can strip you of everything but if you have an imagination, they can't take that. Books and reading develop that ability. Let the words transport you! READ!
