Brought both of my sons in for haircuts and had a great experience. My youngest son needed a trim and my eldest son needed a full haircut. Erik (stationed in the back) worked so well with my son that has autism. Generally Spencer hates haircuts because he's very sensitive to the sounds of the clippers and also the hair really irritates him. But I spoke to Erik and let him know Spence is on the Autism Spectrum and he was extremely patient and kind, he worked well with him and I really appreciate his excellent service & quality work. It was nice to be in the back room because it was quieter and less stimulating (Spencer has a hard time with an over stimulating environment) so it all worked out perfectly. Erik mentioned that he has several clients with autism and you can tell he's got the experience, he has a very calm & patient demeanour and that makes the world of difference for clients on the spectrum. Scheduled a appointment and Called in advance the day of to make sure the barber didn't have clientele apart from me and everything was fine until 25 mins in he said he's done because his buddy came in last minute and wanted a clean up. Charged me $60 dollars for a half ass tapper fade and one side was uneven. These kids are tik tok barbers with not even a full year of people and haircut experience. read more

Horrible experience. Never coming back. Barber was unprofessional and on his phone the whole time. He had me turned away from the mirror so I couldn't see what he was doing. I asked him to only cut off half an inch from the top of my hair because I wanted it long. He ended up cutting most of it off, almost like 5 inches off the top of my hair. My hair is curly and he cut it wrong. It left my hair super short on top. By the time I realized it was too late. I spent months growing out my hair and it got ruined. Don't bother. read more

Went to this barber shop as a walk -in. I was taken right away by Gabriel, explained to him what i wanted. I get a hair cut every three weeks so not much needed to be cut. Plus I don't have much hair to begin with,I walked out with one side longer than the other, so uneven with no blending at all. I am not one to usually complain, but this is so bad i needed to say something. This is a place I will not be returning to and would never recommend to anyone. I know we all have bad days and not always on our game, be he should put his clippers down,and think if this is what he should be doing for a living. Great barbers but marked down due to customer service. I booked an appointment with Nate online.... I left my number and everything so I'm easily reached if anything comes up. I showed up 5 minutes late on the dot and he's already got someone in the chair after I booked a cut, hot towel shave and a black mask. He said my bad, you can come back later if you want. Well I have other engagements; that's why I made an appointment!!!! Am I crazy or should I have received a call or something before jumping me 5 minutes in when barbers constantly get behind or late for whatever reason? This place is a joke! Everyone, quit wasting your time and money. TIME = MONEY. These guys, especially MANNY, needs to either find another way to generate income, or get some serious training by the owner. I moved to the area not too long ago, and searched around online for reputable barbers. My last resort came this this because of "ALL THE AVAILABLE APPOINTMENT OPENINGS ON THE CUT APP FOR BARBER NAMED MANNY." So why not right?!? An hour before my appointment Sunday, I received a message on the cut app, "I cannot make it, I am running late.. (for further details, refer to the attached pictures) Why even have appointments!?!? Lol! I believe this is a huge issue in the barbershop world. So, I decided not to even give it a try. My philosophy, especially from experience, "if the barber reschedules/no show on a first time client with an appointment, they will do it every time." So id rather take my money elsewhere that is loyal, consistent, and committed to serving new clients for long term business. I ended up going to Aguilera Clips the same day (on mission), with no appointment. It was a hit or miss, but from the reviews, I knew it would be good. I will be going to Aguilera's from now on since their motif is "EVERY CUSTOMER MATTERS." Great shop and service. My son and I went in the middle of the day and they weren't too busy. It was a Friday and we needed a nice cut before heading to the airport for a wedding. They did a great job on my son. He has really curly hair (mini-fro) and they did a great job! My hair is curly as well and they cleaned it up nice. I usually don't do this but I got a haircut last Friday Oct. 6th, and was given the worst cut I've ever gotten in my 24 years of life. I've got a mullet so I only need a fade on about 35% of my head and it was completely messed up. Then I asked for a trim off the mullet and that resulted in my hair getting destroyed, and chopped like just butchered. Then the worst part, after butchering my hair he begins to give me a lineup. As much as I like the look I have never gotten a lineup, and I know you're not supposed to take a full fingers worth of hairline and push it back. Luckily I've got a strong hairline, but some people may have never been able to come back from a stunt like that. I forgot the dudes name who cut my hair but I just couldn't believe the service given to me, I didn't even have the strength to complain. I just had to leave with the last bit of dignity I had left, and finish my beer. The guy was cool just does terrible work I hope he improves. I've given this place 3 different tries and each time has not been good. The first time, they was a really long wait and I'm not sure who cut my kid's hair but it was less than satisfactory. His undercut was uneven in the back of his head. Clean lines should be basic. The next time, we had an appointment with a different barber who didn't show up to work so we couldn't get a cut unless we waited 45m. No, thanks. This last time, my husband made an appointment with his barber for my son. When we show up, we're told that the barber left for the day and no one else is available to cut my son's hair. What's the point of an appointment? I heard them turn at least 2 other ppl with appointments away. Not good for business and super unprofessional to not notify your clients when you won't be in. On top of that, they're a cash only business now. Seems like the owner doesn't really care about the professionalism of his barbers. This Covid mess, kept me without a haircut for about 12 weeks. Needed a hair cut badly and my usual place still hasn't opened! So I explored to find a small business and I find this place, first my hair is not easy to cut to my satisfaction but the young man did pretty nice job(Frankie), I can work with him! They are a little out of my way but thats cool! They are a little more expensive then my usual but ok he did a good job! Now to my surprise "Cash Only" ! Not so cool, haven't you heard of Apple Pay? But for the customers convenience they have an ATM in the store, how nice, another $3 again not so cool! I like to tip better than usual but owner stop and think if you charge a little more then surprise new customer with a cash only policy who do you think gets the raw end of this! This was the worst hair experience of my life. The guy asked me what kind of haircut I wanted and I said I was happy with the length, I wanted to keep the length; just wanted it cleaned up. He proceeded to cut about 80% of the length off of all hairs except a few in back, giving me what most resembles a mullet. Wow. Never take kids there! Made a mistake of taking my 11 years old son there. All the name calling and liquor bottles started to fly around. While me and my son was getting haircut I started to plan that after my haircut I would talk to the owner politely and ask him to be mindful of kids next time but then the owner started the same. Best barbershop in North County hands down! All the barbers seem like they take their time don't rush things. They line me up every month and Aaron in the first chair always takes care of me. He even cut my 1 year old boy and it went smoother than any other kid's haircut store we've ever been to. They have beer in their fridge and candy for kids. I got a haircut on 11/19/20 with Aaron, after reading some good reviews about him, but guess what it was all the opposite. He looked hangedover with low energy, like he hated his job. Extremely unprofessional EVEN for a barbershop. Barber used the n word and profanity the entire time. What if I had my son there at the time???? The owner who was present and did not seem to care as all barbers were swearing and unprofessional. The cut was just ok, the fade was subpar, and we had better cuts at other local barbers. Barbershop owners need to understand that although their place of work seems casual and not an office, there should still be standards and professionalism in place. Went in a few weeks back as I needed a cut and the place I normally go to was closed for the day. I was going to get it cut with the owner but he told me he was done for the day so I went with the next open person (chair directly opposite of him). Asked what kinda hair cut I wanted and he got to cutting. My only complaint was that he left some long hairs throughout the sides/back, mainly right behind the ears, which I trimmed myself. Definitely not something an experienced barber should do. Don't think I'll be going back, especially at $25/cut. Otherwise pretty good customer service. read more
