She referred us to Jan's, and we've never looked back. For our first "get acquainted" visit, she arrived with a clipboard and professional form to get info on our cats, likes/dislikes, where their food, water bowls and litter pans are located, name of vet(s), health/medical questions, what to do in case of a pet emergency. And then info about us and our house--alarm system info, newspapers/mail brought in, etc. We were bowled over with her professionalism. And they're bonded and insured. For about 12 years now Jan has watched our pets, and is always available--even on the rare but unavoidable short-notice need. She lets us know of her vacations well in advance so we can plan accordingly. Jan's business is as good as it gets, and reasonably-priced as well. She's a treat, and we're glad to know her!

We paid a small deposit for a chocolate lab, and were told the day to come pick him up (we had to wait about 3 weeks until he was old enough to leave mama). We emailed a few times for updates/pics, and we got immediate responses. They were very accommodating! We were in the area a couple of weeks before we were supposed to pick him up so we asked the breeder if we could meet the puppies just for fun. She was very accommodating! When we went to pick up our puppy, she had all the AKC paperwork in order and was wonderful and professional. The entire buying experience was very smooth! Judy is very nice and very professional. I just came back from the vet, and our vet said that all the vaccinations and her plan of treatment for our dog was perfect. On top of that, the puppy's nails had already been trimmed, and he had his dew claws removed when he was just a couple of days old. In terms of the puppy, we are amazed at how smart and intuitive he is! Apparently he is a classic chocolate lab. He loves to listen and perform, and he has picked up on potty training and retrieving items within days. He is now 9 weeks old, and he will ring the bell on the door to go out! This is a very smart, healthy, well bred puppy. I highly recommend this breeder!

We're amazed our pets were still alive. We have 5 ferrets and a cat. The ferrets stay in their own…read moreroom at all times except during their evening playtime, which is fully supervised. We ask all pet sitters to leave the ferrets in their room and just play with them in there, as most people can't keep up with these guys. We came back to a ferret outside of their room, under the kitchen sink full of household cleaners. Hungry and scared. Had a note from the sitter where we discovered that the person that cared for our ferrets, a. brought a child along b. took them out of their room. Apparently it never occurred to her to PUT THEM IN THEIR CAGE when cleaning their room. She opted to stick them in our bathroom. Because somehow that made more sense to her. I don't care if it was her kid playing with them in the bathtub while she cleaned. (Who brings a child to care for a person's pets without checking with the owners first?) She never called us to ask if she could do this. And letting them out is probably how one escaped. (Which has never happened before or since.) We haven't used them since. We do not recommend them. This wasn't even about knowledge of ferrets. This was about common sense and following simple directions.

Our puppy attended two week board and train for basic obedience training as I was getting slow results with a puppy obedience class. When Rocky arrived home we thoroughly reviewed all he learned and I learned how to keep up with the obedience training. I received a packet with all of the commands and clear and concise instructions. I loved the fact that my puppy was trained in her home with other dogs, horses and lots of acres to play.
