We dropped our dogs off for 12 days, and honestly, I was so anxious about it. I've never left our dogs before but they were so hesitant to leave Mr. Scott's! Extremely disappointed with the service I received here. It is very clear that they leave the dogs alone for a very long time with only one little light on in the basement. I love Mr Scott's Dog Resort because it is possible to customize your dog's stay to suit their special temperaments and needs. When I left my three pups there for 10 days, they were able to stay together in a private room so they had each other's company at night and were able to take a break from interacting with their new, but unfamiliar, friends. I was able to arrange for special walks in addition to daily play time, and it was no problem for one of them to be given her daily allergy meds. My doggies can be a little timid even with people they like, but they are crazy about Mr. Scott's and always anxious to go back. They were returned to me happy and relaxed...I suspect they had a better time on their Doggie Vacation than I had on my human one! read more

Mr Scott's dog resort is the best. I have 2 dogs and often travel. I have checked out other kennels in the area. I got a tour of Mr. Scott's resort and was extremely impressed. The cleanliness of this resort is unbelievable. Staff is so friendly and professional. I had to leave my doggies for 8 days. Got them back and they didn't want to leave. You also get a free/very nice dog toy upon check-in. Love love this place and they will also groom your dog while at the resort with 10% off!! They also have a doggie spa right down the road. Thanks to Mr. Scott's Resort I never worry while I'm away. Love it. read more

This resort is wonderful! We have been bringing our our dogs here for years and this is the only place I would ever consider. It's interesting because I've heard it said that 'dogs read people better than people do' - well, my dogs love the staff here. Also, the place is incredibly clean!!! Our dogs are part of our family and when we leave to go out of town, I want to know that my dogs are going to be well cared for, happy, and in a safe environment and at Mr Scott's, they are. Horrible!!!! Will never go there again. When came by to pick up our pets on a Monday morning, Owner Mr Scott was at the Pet Resort. There was no one else there. When we came in, Mr. Scott was rude in his greeting to us. He seemed really mad for no apparent reason. I had my checkbook out ready to pay. My husband had missed our little doggies and was anxious to see them. While I was getting ready to pay, my husband opened the door where our pets were, that Mr. Scott Sr. had previously allowed him access to. There is no sign on the door that states no admittance, so my husband didn't know he wasn't allowed back there. As soon as my husband opened the door, Mr. Scott started yelling at him that he was not allowed back there. Mr husband said he just wanted to see the puppies and told him about Mr, Scott Sr., allowing him access. Mr. Scott, then been even more enraged and said that he owned this business. He said a few other things, which made my husband angry. Then I intervened and tried to get Mr. Scott to understand that my husband didn't realize there was no admittance...just was anxious to see our pets. Mr. Scott, then told me that he didn't care...that my husband should know better and added that we take care of this payment first, then we get to see our dogs!!! It made me angry when he made the statement about we could not even SEE our pets until we paid. Here I was with checkbook in hand for over 5 minutes ready to pay, when Mr. Scott is ranting about opening the door. It was like, he was holding them hostage. He can't refuse to let a person see their pet. To some of us, they are like children. Imagine picking up your child from daycare, or babysitter and being told you can't see your children, until they have your payment in hand. What was the big deal with him??? Did he think we were going to make a run for it and not pay. It was insulting and a violation of our rights and our pets rights. When he did that, I then put my foot down told Mr. Scott., I would pay him, once we got to see our dogs. He kept refusing while getting angrier and angrier than he already was. He kept saying, this is his business and we will do this his way. This went on for 10 more minutes, because now I wasn''t going to be intimidated by him. I finally screamed at him to let me see our dogs, or I was calling the police. Then he got up like he was going to come after me and told me to call the police. He started to go back and get our dogs, but then stopped as he opened the door and called me B.... My husband wasn't happy about that and said so. Then Mr. Scott, slammed his fist against the wall. He yelled at my husband to come on!!!...he was ready to go right now..(meaning he was ready to fight). I started calling the police and then Mr. Scott ran back to get our dogs. He jerked my daughter's dog by the leash out of the cage. Then, he told my husband to get back there and get his own f....ing dogs. Once we had all the dogs, I still had my check in hand, already written. Mr. Scott slams down in his chair and yells for me to hurry up and pay for our f...ing dogs, or he was going to call the police for theft of services. Absolutely no reason for him to say something like that. I ready to pay for the last 20 minutes or so that we had been there. While I was paying him, he continued to rant using the f word over and over. After I paid, and he told my husband to get his b.... wife and f...ing dogs out of his shop. Neither one of us said anything to Mr. Scott after we had our pets. He had escalated so far out of control that he was scary... We just wanted to get out of there. In closing, after I left I did stop payment on my check due to the stress of the whole thing and they way he treated and talked/yelled at us, plus the treatment of our pets upon leaving. We did file a police report to be on record concerning the abuse we sufferred and holding of our dogs. Although, Mr. Scott didn't deserve it, I did restore payment and had the police drop it off. Because of our hasty departure, Mr. Scott., didn't give us back our dogs treats, toys, or shot records. I called back later on and spoke to his father to mail the records to my home. I told him to keep or throw away the other stuff, because I would never set foot on that property again. Too bad, he ran good business off... Not only will I not recommend, but the experience was so baaaaad, that I've told several people about my experience and continue to do so. It's been a year, but the encounter is as fresh as it happened yeaterday. If he acts like that to customers, I would advise anyone to consider how he might behave with pets when no one is watching read more

Both Mr. Scott's Dog Resort & Grooming facilities are conveniently located from my home and I used their Resort and Grooming services this past weekend as well as over the Christmas/New Year's 2012 holidays and another grooming in March 2013 and on each occasion have experienced professionalism, kind employees, reasonable rates and the owner was polite and courteous. My dog (a schnauzer) has never looked better and got a treat to boot. I recommend their services to anyone. read more
