Definitely a cool place to check out when you're downtown. There's so much to see and so many…read moreunique items. I went during Christmas time when it was extremely busy and packed walking around. They had an assortment of books, clothes, dishes, pins, beanie babies, toys, anything you can think of. There was so many unique items for a reasonable price. I expected the prices to be more on certain items because they're so unique. There weren't many people around to help because it was busy so you have to track someone down. When you're ready to pay you head towards the front of the store and they check you out. The cashier was very nice and asked me how my experience went and commented on my purchases. This is a cool store to visit and shop at if you're ever nearby.

It used to be cute and kitschy, with some real oddities and unique pieces for sale at decent prices. Today, what I saw was just tragic. It's largely fast fashion branded clothing without the fast fashion prices, anime merchandise for the weebiest of weebs, mass produced trinkets/toys I recognized from the AliExpress catalogue, and some actually vintage items being sold at a price anyone familiar with the brands would never actually pay. With the amount of eyebrow-raisers that I saw, I didn't feel confident that items from other vendors that I'm not as familiar with like porcelain figures, glassware, jewelry, and paintings were actually genuine antiques or being sold at fair prices. I noticed a lot of young'uns browsing the store who seemed to be having a pretty good time, so maybe I'm just old and it's not for my demographic. In my mind though, this isn't what should be sold at an antique store. I would love to see whoever's in charge be choosier with their vendors.

I just took my watch to Fast Fix Jewelry and Watch Repairs, paying $149.95 for a hand adjustment,…read morenew stem, and their "watch spa" service. When I picked up the watch, it initially seemed fine, but once I examined it in better lighting outside, the poor quality of the work was obvious. The inside of the glass had visible fog and streaks, and the watch looked dirty overall. I immediately went back to ask them to take another look, even questioning whether the "watch spa" service had been done. The employee assured me it was completed and that the difference would be noticeable in the cleanliness of the links. She told me more cleaning would require an additional polishing service. (Putting a watch in an ultrasonic cleaner for 5 minutes shouldn't cost $49.95.) However, after further inspection, the watch had new fingerprints and scratches on the hands, no noticeable cleaning, and was missing the o-ring for the watch back. The quality of the work was extremely disappointing. I should've noticed the warning signs sooner. The watches on display inside the store are Chinese look-alikes for more expensive brands. For example, all the CURREN watches they have in the ROLEX cabinet for $200+ can be found online for less than $30. At $25 an hour, I worked six hours to pay for this repair, but they spent less than 90 minutes and returned subpar work. I definitely would not recommend this shop if you're expecting quality service or fair pricing. To be fair, they did swap out the stem like I asked them to. If you need a battery replaced, they'd probably do a good job, that's the 2 stars. But so would the guy at the swapmeet. And you wouldn't pay $150 for it. UPDATE: They replaced the stem with a stem from Swiss Legends. Chinese POS parts. They should at least give me my Noma III crown back! I'm a pretty fair guy. I took it back to let them take another shot at it. A quick swipe with an alcohol wipe and a "stop bitching about it" look and I had all I could take from this shop. I'm glad it was an Invicta and not my Seiko Chrono or Grand Seiko. Everyone out here trying to rip everyone else off.

I can't believe they looked at it, said this looks good to me, and called us to pick it up.
