I literally can't say nothing bad about this place, it is a literal godsend. I went to multiple jewelry stores and was turned away because of the ideas that I had on how I wanted my ring particularly sized. I went in thinking that I wanted it to be a butterfly Effect with the sizing aspect, and pretty much everybody everywhere told me that I was crazy. It was too expensive completely out of my budget. Every other jewelry store pretty much just told me to go ahead and get my rings, resized again, but the issue is that my knuckle is thicker than the base of my finger, so therefore, resizing again was not an option. Celia was so helpful at the front desk assisting and then Vinnie their jeweler literally took the time to explain to me all sort of different options. I opted to get both sets of my wedding rings, soldered together, and we went ahead and added two French beads to both sets of rings. They cleaned the rings soooo good they looked better than the day I got them, checked every single stone and diamond on my ring as well as prongs. Vinnie even came and watched me put on my rings, and ensure the accuracy of how they fit and assured me that if I do need to change anything to just go ahead and go back as one of my rings are still just a little loose (not their fault the previous jeweler did not do a good job resizing, they left the band sooo thin). I cannot recommend or thank this company enough. Turn around time for both rings was a week and they killed it! read more

I can't recommend A D Jewelry Creations enough! I came in to get my diamond reset into my original engagement ring. This included sizing up the band 1.5 sizes, a new head, and electric rhodium plating. Vinnie is very helpful and knowledgeable and suggested a few new heads that were safe to hold my stone. His associate Megan was also very attentive, polite, and helpful. Prices seemed very fair, and I did not feel like I was being taken advantage of or cheated into paying too much. Alas, only 5 are allowed, and its a shame this place hasn't been reviewed until now. A.D. Jewelry Creations is located in Downtown Riverside inside the Mission Galleria on Mission Inn and Main Avenues. You walk into the Mission Galleria and walk alllll the way to the back of the main floor and there he is; surrounded by clocks of all makes and models. He's been there for at *least* a decade Vinnie and his assistants are wonderful. He really knows his stuff and has serviced many pieces of jewelery of ours; both simple costime and valuable fine jewelry. More than once, I've seen people bring in pieces of jewelry for repairs, cleanup or upgrades and saw him quote 1/2 to 1/3 of what Mardon Jewelers in the Mission Inn had quoted them - for the same, if not superior, work done. Something that sets this place apart is the demeanor and honesty of Vinnie and his staff. He'll give you an honest quote on materials and labor and if its going to be costly, he'll tell you up front and will recommend other alternatives if they are available. His talents can be tailored to almost all budgets in his little workshop nook in the rear of the Galleria. He usually also has a lovely little display case are where he features all kinds of little wonders. From pieces from estate sales, to wonderful multi-jeweled pocket watches, to some of his own creations. And that's something Vinnie is good at as well, creating new and unique pieces in gold, white gold, platinum and silver. His prices on this are also fair. You pay a good price for good work; and he's more than willing to do appraisals and give free advice. He also does work on watches, clocks and other timepieces; he buys and sells estate jewelry, does custom engraving - in short, a very full service operation. I've been married to an amazing man since 1996 and he has given me the most beautiful jewelry. He himself picked out my ring, carefully choosing the diamond and setting separately. Then later he gave me a beautiful sapphire pendant with 16 stones going from dark to light blue.. it was so fancy and I rarely got a chance to wear it so I started talking with Vinnie about using it to make something I'd been envisioning for years now but all of the stones were channel set so I didn't know how it would work. But after it was done, my boyfriend wanted me to have an engagement ring as well, so I asked Vinnie if he could create a companion solitaire ring to go with Grandma's ring. A favorite bracelet broke, so I asked my uncle (a Riverside local of 35+ years who knows pretty much everything about the city of arts and innovation) what the very best place to go to get it fixed would be, if price weren't an issue. He suggested Vinny at A D Jewelry. I then asked for a second suggestion, for jewelry repairs on a budget: same place. Yahtzee! I always enjoy going to Downtown Riverside, so it was great to learn that A D Jewelry Creations is tucked into the antique market. I had absolutely no difficulty finding parking on the street, and the young woman who helped me at the counter was quite pleasant and friendly. There's a kind of small-town feel to the place. There were a couple of older women ahead of me, and I really didn't mind waiting while they exchanged pleasantries with the employee and caught up on some local gossip, as they took care of their business. It might have taken all of two or three minutes, and it was clearly enjoyable for these customers. When it came to my turn, I was impressed at how professional the employee was, and how knowledgeable about jewelry. She quickly assessed the situation with my bracelet, and took note that this is something I wear every day and really love. But the real gem (pardon the pun) was Vinny, who came up to the counter from the back of the shop, made a quick professional assessment, gave me a very reasonable estimate, and assured me that the repair would help to ensure that my bracelet would remain where I want it: on my wrist. One caveat: the turn-around time is not quick. That's fine with me. I would much rather work with a local shop that does quality work, and have the repair take a week or so. The work was done on time, but the time involved might have been a little longer here than at a place with dozens of employees. Just keep that in mind going in, and you should be happy. read more

I was anxious to rate this place due to the phenominal quote I was given over the phone for my ring resizing, but of course I can't rate anything that I haven't experienced yet. I took a stroll down there, as my work is a 2 minute walk to here, to drop my ring off. Unfortunately my ring is not a simple resize because there are some jewels that will need to be retightened. As he began explaining that retightening the jewels would cost more I thought to myself "here we go...I knew that price was too good to be true." Then when he gave me the total price for resizing and jewel retightening, I was thrilled!!!! It was literally half of what I've been quoted everywhere else. I will be updating my review once I get my ring back to rate the work done. I'm confident that I will be very satisfied. I"m giving this place a rating of one star because that is the minimum that Yelp would allow me to. There is typically a long wait at the counter, because the girl at the counter typically time chatting with her grandmother and grandmother's friends about some new boyfriend who had recently gotten divorced and with some kid that she's moving in with at the mobile park where they grew up. When her grandmothers finally decide to leave because they are hungry, that is when they attend to you, I requested for a simple repair on a simple chain of which the pendant had come off. They say they can re-attach it with a small ring, but I requested for a bail to maintain its original configuration (I've had the chain as a Confirmation present when I was twelve). They said they're going to have to charge me extra, and I accepted. They are open 10 to 3 on Saturdays, and they are open 10 to 5:30 on Tuesdays to Fridays. I had to wait another weekend before I could pick up my chain, only to find a sign that they were closed during the weekend. Two weeks later, my fiance had picked up the chain, with the ring attached to the pendant, and an un-soldered bail hanging on the chain. Not only do these people not know how to listen to their customers, they CAN NOT EVEN READ THEIR OWN RECEIPTS. If you 1) want to hang out and listen to the latest stories about some new boyfriend and big plans moving to a trailer park, 2) pay the extra fees because you're expecting to have your jewelry with sentimental value to be repaired the right way, 3) wait several weeks, because they close on some weekends, 4) only to find out that they did the opposite of what they WROTE ON THEIR OWN RECEIPTS -- yes, this is the place to come to! If you expect to come to a place of business where people are literate (can write *and* read), have decent customer service, and will fix your jewelry the way that they said they will -- DO NOT COME TO AD JEWELRY CREATIONS. read more
