    Watch damages
    Brendalyn B.

Paid $32 for supposedly a new battery with a one year warranty. A little after one month, it stopped, so I took it back. They refused to accept it, blamed the watch/company, and also managed to worsen it by completely dislodging a piece of the face. They are disloyal to their own policies and mistreated my delicate watch.

One screw that holds the bracelet links that they said none of the other jewelry stores could do because it's a Cartier. LOL SMH

Summary: Stay away! ( January 2022) We were headed to the Tyler Galleria to purchase some sneakers. I remember my wife saying her watch bracelet needed some adjustment so we took the watch along. Owning a few watches between us, I could do this simple task. Unfortunately my smallest jeweler's screwdriver is still too large. There are 18 or 19 watch and/or jewelry shops in the mall so plenty of options to get quotes. The first stop quoted us $25. Our second stop was Bayside. There were two guys in the shop. A lighter skinned guy (LS) and a darker skinned guy (DS). I asked LS how much to adjust a stainless steel watch bracelet. I even pointed to similar watches behind me inside the display shelf. LS said $10 to $15. DS took the watch and went towards the back to adjust it. The job took 2 minutes, maybe 3 minutes tops...you get the point. DS hands the watch and says that it will be $50. Wow! Are you kidding me?! My wife and I had to briskly debate with these two regarding the pricing bait and switch. At some point in the middle of the debate, LS said $30 and I stood my ground. They said nobody could adjust a Cartier in this mall LOL. It's just a screw! Check my photo. LS said $20 which is still higher than the quoted $10 to $15. I handed him the $20 just to get away from this place. In hindsight, I should have just purchased the Burgeon 1.6mm jeweler's screwdriver from Amazon. Lesson learned. To the owner of Bayside: If you dispute my experience above, please upload your security video with audio to prove me wrong.

Outstanding customer service, Bobby went above and beyond to meet my needs. He resized my gold bracelet for me in under 30 minutes. Bayside watch has earned themselves a lifelong client. Thanks again Bobby!

I will not even give this place one star. What a sham and what a joke. Never been treated liked this from a watch store. They took my simple battery repair knowing it would comprise and ruin my GShock GB 100. They took my money and gave me back a broken watch. Said I need to call Casio. Do not trust this place, what a joke. 500 dollar watch ruined and they made 40 buck... whay a complete crap show this place is...

Bought a new battery for my watch, expecting to change it myself. The screws were micro size and wrong type for the eyeglass screwdriver I had. Went here fully expecting to pay 5-10 dollars to swap it out. He was done in a couple minutes, and didn't want anything for it. Very fast and professional. Thank you.

DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE! It's a rip-off‼ they will charge you a lot of money for jewelry repair for something that's easy fix.

They are listed as GIA trained and certified so I trusted taking my GIA diamond ring to them. I first called in to see if their appraisal specialist was there and found out it is a family owned jeweler and the son is a GIA trained diamond specialist, he was very kind over the phone and welcomed me to come in same day for an appraisal. He not only did appraisals, but ring cleaning and rhodium plating if needed during the process. The store is located in a cute little shopping center with a simply elegant storefront. The store is very secure and safe with two locked doors to enter and exit. We were met by the son, Michelangelo, who was very pleasant to work with. He explained the process to me and that he could do everything right now in front of me. This was a huge relief because a lot of jewelers say you drop off your diamond and they will call you to come back when the appraisal is complete. I did not feel comfortable leaving my diamond with anyone, but Michelangelo assured me everything would be done right in front of me. He pulled out his microscope to read my GIA number on the side of my diamond and even let me look through the lenses to show me where my number was located as well. The entire process took about 10 min, which was extended longer because we were talking so much and he was teaching me about my diamond. He said he does a lot of custom pieces so we talked about a custom wedding band for my fiancé. Overall, very pleased with this experience. Michelangelo was extremely knowledgeable and had great customer service. I highly recommend Geneva Jewelry not only for jewelry appraisals, but for beautifully crafted custom jewelry pieces.

Please take spelling lessons, btw. Shame on YOU for taking a 12yr olds watch order without a parent! Telling her you normally charge $40 for a watch battery but telling her you were giving her a great deal at $20 because it was her first battery purchase. Shame on you for ripping off a 12yr old. As your business declines you'll think back on the $20 you were trying to steal from a 12yr old over a $2.50 battery. So SHAME ON YOU, YOU THEIF! My 12 yr old daughter went in to ask how much it would be for a new battery on her old watch. The woman working told her it would be $40 but since it was her first watch she would give her a deal of $20. My daughter thinking it was a great deal because thats what the lady said left her watch there. An adult was NOT with her and did not consent to the work being done. When she returned t lo tell the lady she didnt want the battery the woman told her it was too late. The woman refused to give her back the watch after we told her we didn't want the battery. The woman claimed that the cancelation fee was $20 and the battery was $20. Needless to say she kept the watch and would not give it back to a 12yr old. The cops were called and they told us it was a civil matter. I will also be reporting them to the BBB!
