We had Cloos Carpet the whole house in August and he was very professional and went above and beyound laying carpet. He had to chisel out wood around the fireplace hearth that was put there by the previous owner. He could have just layed the carpet uneven but he does a professional job. Cloos Carpet is the ONLY place I will get Carpet. I have bought Carpet from Mike twice in the last 15 years and have no regrets. His jobs are guranateed for life. The first time my wife and I bough carpet we did the entire house. I had shopped around and since it was the full house I wanted to make sure I was getting both quality and a decent price. The other guys had carpet for cheaper, but Mike was unmatched in his quality installation. We had just moved into a new subdivision and our neighborsand everyone else we talked to reccommended Cloos Carpet. We bought it all from Mike and he installed it himself. We have had no problems with it. 15 years later and it looks just as great as it did back then. Just recently, we redid the living room and of course went back to Cloos Carpet. I was shocked! Mike Cloos still does the installations himself! He helped us pick out the perfect carpet for our high-traffic living room within our budget. I could not be happier with our carpet from Mike Cloos. My reccommendation to other people, don't skimp out and save a dollar or two by ordering from big box stores who have punks install their carpet. Worst experience I've ever had. Very unprofessional. I was shopping for carpet and linoleum. I ordered linoleum for two rooms. Owner Mike Cloos told it would take 1.5 weeks to get it in. After 4 weeks it finally arrived - no explanations why it took so long. When Mike came to install it, he asked what I had decided on the carpet, which I had also been replacing in one room, but had gotten a quote on 3 rooms, hall and stairs. I indicated we had found a color we liked better at a different company. He walked out without a word and never said anything, just left! Basically amounts to: because I went with a different company for a bedroom carpet, he walked out and would't install the linoleum! He wouldn't return any calls the rest of the day. I was truly concerned for the man, and thought he was maybe having health issues, like a heart attack. I finally drove over to the store at the end of the day and there he stands. He told me he didn't want or need my business. So in this day and age, I guess $1000 of work wasn't enough for him. So, when Mike tells you he gives free estimates, don't believe him. If he gives you an estimate, he expects your business, all of it. And if he doesnt' get it, he acts very unprofessional, to the point that I've seen two year olds with better behavior. I was amazed. And this was two weeks before a graduation party in our home. Thankfully, Perfect Floors, who did an amazing job on our carpet, got the linoleum in (special order) for same price and installed it within 1.5 weeks and it looks great, and they did it with no seams in an adjoining hall and laundry room. Go to Perfect Floors. Cloos Carpet is a joke. I told a friend what happened, and she said, "I'm so sorry. I wish I had known you were looking for something or I would have warned you about him.
