A tree on their property fell on my car and destroyed it, causing me to not be able to drive it for 2 months as it is being repaired. Management has not been accountable, many of the issues are still completely unresolved. They have provided no reimbursement, despite them being totally in the wrong. The tree was rotted through and completely hollow. Please watch where you park your cars! In my experience with Governor Sproul, if THEIR tree falls on your vehicle they will NOT take care of you. Aside from the tree incident, I would like to warn others about the other ongoing issues that impact residents at Governor Sproul. I am setting up insect traps AGAIN for the camel crickets in the apartment, which are the size of my palm. Despite having an exterminator come and purchasing countless traps from Home Depot. Above are Emergency lights that didnt work for 24 hours during a power outage, causing serious safety hazards. No lighting in the entire building when this happened. Water leaking through walls causing mold, and an awful odor. Large urine spots going down the hall that smell, dog poop in the hallways frequently. Peoples pets in the hallways constantly, even had my neighbor's cat run into my apartment and under my couch. Total chaos!! Please make an informed decision before moving here!! I'd like to avoid this awful experience happening to others.

They refused to change any of the egregious terms in the lease to match standard lease agreements. They insist on charging tenants for broken appliances and closet/shower door tracts. These are standard landlord repairs. They even have a $75 maintenance fee each time they set out a service repair. They say they submeter tenants for water usage but under no set fee amount. If its by use then what water use rate? They insist tenants replace HVAC filters every 3 months? Landlords do that and don't know any that say every 3 months. Fees upon fees upon fees...

I had to research and find the owners phone number and question why " she said because my kids make lots of noise". Also because I called to complain about there is mice in the house before we moved in, there was traps under the sink when we moved in, also under the stove. With the 1st months we found mice droppings in the drawers of the kitchen. Also in between the dishwasher. Also under the stove. When I mentioned this to Michelle the manager she said " we do not move any appliances to check for that. This condo was supposed to be our home for at least 5 years until we can purchase a house, this put me a my family in a bad situation, felt discriminated, harassed, mentally distort, stressed, pressured all the above, words cannot explain what we went thru because of this situation also financially ( no move in check list was provided to me prior to moving in, until i called for and issue then i was told you could referred to your move in check list, then it was sent me)

They are now doing business as WEL after a change in management. My Mom was briefly a resident…read morebefore she passed away. Therein lies a tale and a cautionary one at that Most of these types of communities require a buy in before entry an WEL is no different. My Mom had modest means and we had to sell her home for her to qualify for a modest studio. It was satisfactory and clean and the staff was responsive and caring. No problems there. Quite the contrary. But Mom was only in her studio for about a week when she fell and had to be moved to the hospital unit. She was there for a while, happily and well cared for. But she contracted pneumonia, probably after a stay in rehab somewhere else. It never quite cleared up and, much to everyone's chagrin, she took sick and died. All told, she was at WEL for a month or so I want to make it clear she was well cared for. But when you do a buy in, you agree that the unused portion of the buy in, which amortized the rent, will be returned after the apartment was rerented. In Mom's case, that was approximately six months ago, and WEL owes the estate some 70,000 dollars, or nearly half of the sale price of Mom's home. I have worked through a lawyer to try to get them to return the money, but have hit a stone wall. I suspect they are stalling because they can and they are hurting my Mom's grandchildren in the process. Yes, it's perfectly legal, I suppose, but it is outrageous given the time she spent there. Her family deserves better The moral is to be very careful dealing with this company. If they owe you part of an estate, they have little incentive to return it. And they are good at stalling. If you can find a less restrictive entrance covenant, do so. Or just hope your loved one spends their resources. Because, otherwise, you will wonder how these people can take an interest free loan on snap estate with virtually no regulation. I have heard similar stories on investigation, and the new management would make me even more wary of dealing with them. Be careful

While they claim to be a rehab, mom did not make any progress in her 6 weeks there. She had 5 falls and one UTI. They lost most of her clothes and she was transferred to another nursing facility in only a gown. The clothes were eventually found but only after more were purchased. I was given the wrong information about items missing during the hospital transport. Anastasia Jones told me their inventory was checked and the items must have been lost in the transport van. The missing items showed up on her transfer day when I picked up the few items of clothing they did have for her. It is also appears she had a stroke during her stay there. Her stay there was a detriment to her health. I should mention, I was offered a refund for the missing clothes. When the clothes were found, I emailed to see if the refund was still on the table since I had to purchase new clothes to replace the missing ones. That email came back-could not be delivered. Looks like Nathan Weiss blocked my email. I did give the one star for the nice nurses.
